IRON MAN: BROTHER DON'T CAUSE TROUBLE

Chapter 64: 64. A Great Calamity

Everyone talked for a while, and after that, they each went on their way. John sighed in relief and decided to talk to Alsie and Yumina at the same time. This couldn't go on any further, or they would just end up hurting themselves.

John took Yumina with him to the second floor, where Alsie was staying.

"Knock knock..."

After knocking a couple of times, he quietly waited. Yumina didn't say anything and had already realized what was going to happen, but she didn't feel betrayed. It had been her decision from the start, so there was no need for regret.

After a few seconds, the door opened, and John walked in with Yumina.

At that moment, Alsie looked fine. She was even smiling, but John could see the sadness in her eyes. He was helpless.

"So, did you want to talk about something?" Alsie spoke as if nothing had happened.

"Yes, actually, I wanted to talk to both of you." John clarified, then continued, "It's time for me to leave."

When Yumina heard this, she felt confused, but Alsie had a different reaction—a mix of shock, heartache, and other emotions. But it flashed by quickly, and her expression returned to normal.

Yumina, who had been looking between the two, spoke up. "What do you mean, you're leaving?"

John looked at Alsie and then at Yumina and sighed before saying, "When we started our adventure, I already informed them that one day I would leave." He then looked at Yumina and added, "And that's the reason I didn't want to accept both of you."

Alsie stayed silent, but she understood that John and Yumina weren't together at the moment. She also realized that her situation was similar to Yumina's, and felt a mix of sadness for her and relief that John hadn't actually betrayed her.

Yumina, after hearing this, suddenly began to panic. "Will you leave me as well?" She asked, her voice distant and filled with worry.

When she decided to marry John, she was ready to give up everything, even her noble position as a princess. It didn't matter where John went, she didn't want to be left behind.

"I will go with you," Yumina declared firmly.

John smiled sadly and nodded. "I acpected it." Then, he turned to Alsie. "What about you? Do you want to come as well? But think carefully. You will be separated from Lindsey for quite a while."

John smiled and added, "But you don't have to worry. It won't be for long. So, decide whether to go or not. I will wait for you until tomorrow morning."

Saying that, John left the room, leaving Alsie behind, struggling with her decision.

After that, John went to find Mika and asked for another room key for Yumina. Then, they went to the third floor. John left Yumina in her room.

"Rest for today. We have a long journey ahead of us," John said with a smile and left.

Inside his room, John lay down on the bed and relaxed a little. He had already decided to bring both of them with him and tell them about himself—where he came from and why he came. If, after hearing everything, they were still willing to accept him, he would come back for them once he was stronger.

But just as he was lost in thought, the door to his room opened, and Yumina walked in. Surprised, John looked at her with a questioning expression.

"D... Dear, can I stay here with you tonight?" Yumina asked nervously.

John looked at her for a long while, then without saying anything, he moved to the side, giving her some space. Seeing this, Yumina became happy and smiled contently as she lay beside him.

The next morning, John was already up, having breakfast with Yumina, as none of the others had woken up yet.

In Alsie's room, Alsie was also ready and looked at Lindsey, who stood before her with tear-streaked cheeks.

Last night, Lindsey had gone to Alsie and found out what was going on. At first, Alsie struggled with her decision, but Lindsey, understanding her sister, gave her a big hug and told her to go. So, in the end, Alsie decided to follow John as well.

This would be the first time the sisters would be separated. Well, John also felt bad about it, but he had no other choice. He couldn't reveal everything about his origins to everyone.

When she came downstairs, Alsie found that everyone was already present. Everyone had a sad look on their faces.

Everyone had just found out that John was leaving. Although they were surprised and a little sad, no one discouraged him. After a while, with the promise that he would return, John, Alsie, and Yumina left on their journey.

After they left, somewhere very far away, in a world of clouds, an old man sat on a 10 by 10 mattress, looking at his small television with a sigh.

"So, he's finally leaving, huh?" he murmured.

Beside him sat a beautiful girl with a lovely figure and pink hair. Her name was Alframe, the Goddess of Love. Alframe was a graceful and elegant figure, radiating warmth and kindness.

"I'm surprised you didn't kill him, even after so long. Especially after he went near Touya," the Goddess of Love said with a smile.

"First, tell me, did you give the thing to those two girls?" the old man asked in a calm tone.

"Yes, I did. So, now can you tell me what's going on with the otherworldly boy and why you've been acting strangely ever since he came to this world?" the Goddess asked with a serious expression. Her smile had long since vanished from her face.

Sighing to himself, the old man gazed into the distance with a reminiscent look.

"Do you know Ariana?" the old man asked.

"Who doesn't know her? The Goddess of Justice," the Goddess answered but felt puzzled.

"So, you must know her elder brother, Eccarus," the old man continued.

"Of course, I've heard of him. So, what does this have to do with that little boy?" She was still confused by what the old man was trying to say.

"Just hear me out first," the old man chided and continued, "We used to be very good friends back in the days when we were young and carefree, without any responsibilities."

"But after taking the post of a god, we went our separate ways, only meeting again the last time he came to see me a few thousand years ago." The old man paused.

"What happened then?" the Goddess urged.

"When he came, he told me something happened to the Time Lord, his rival, and he was going to check on him. He also said that if, for some reason, he didn't come back, I should not look for him and to take care of Ariana for him."

"At that time, I didn't understand why he came and left so suddenly. But a few hundred years later, I heard he had died under mysterious circumstances. That's when I understood how serious the situation was. But, as promised, I never investigated his death and took care of Ariana ever since," the old man said slowly, recounting his past memories.

The Goddess didn't interrupt him this time but waited for the old man to continue.

"When that boy came to this world, do you know what I found?" the old man asked.

"What?" the Goddess replied.

"I found the aura of my old friend on him. So, I knew he must be related to him somehow," the old man said.

"That's why you allowed him into this world," the Goddess finally came to a realization. "But what about the thing you wanted me to deliver?" she asked again. She couldn't understand what was so special about those girls.

"Don't you understand? So many powerful entities have disappeared mysteriously over the years. Don't you think there's something going on behind the scenes that no one can see?" the old man said seriously.

"Even if we know, what can we do? Even people like Eccarus have disappeared," the Goddess said.

"Eccarus chose that boy for a reason, and I have a gut feeling that something terrible is about to happen. Even if we want to or not, one day we will have to face it. That's why I decided to help those girls with their future endeavors," the old man explained.

"So, what about Touya? What are you going to make him do?" the Goddess asked.

"Nothing. I've already given him what he needs for now. We'll see what the future holds," the old man said with sharp eyes, a look the Goddess had never seen before.
