In a sense, Rengoku Kyoujurou faced the most troublesome demon.

In terms of difficulty, the Half-Heavenly Dog was much more challenging than even Akaza, the Upper Moon Three, who was ranked just a notch above it.

Every demon has its own characteristics and features, which are their most unique abilities and skills.

Take the Lower Moon One, Nightmare, who planned the Infinite Train Incident; it was a demon of sleep, capable of forcibly inducing dreams, and even a Pillar could inadvertently fall victim and die tragically.

Then there was Akaza, Upper Moon Three, a demon of combat, whose martial arts and Blood Demon Art were all designed for direct confrontation with the enemy.

Compared with these two demons, the Half-Heavenly Dog was even more bizarre and more troublesome.

It was a demon of clones, fighting with a Blood Demon Art called "Concrete·Split" at its core.

When the Half-Heavenly Dog faced danger, the four intense emotions in its heart "Joy," "Anger," "Sorrow," "Pleasure" would manifest through this Blood Demon Art, splitting from its body and forming four clones.

These clones were named "Urogi," "Sekido," "Aizetsu," and "Karaku," with the corresponding characters engraved on their tongues. Each one possessed a specific emotion but had their own independent will, capable of fighting on their own.

They also controlled four different Blood Demon Arts.

"Urogi" was a half-bird creature, not only with unique flying abilities; its bird claws could easily crush boulders, allowing it to attack prey from the air like a bird of prey. It was highly agile and could also emit a destructive sound wave from its mouth that at its weakest could cause dizziness and at its most powerful could rupture eardrums and knock a person unconscious.

"Sekido" wielded a staff that generated thunderbolts, attacking enemies with Thunder Strike.

"Aizetsu" could utilize a cruciform gun to launch shock waves as attacks.

"Karaku" was able to use the fan in its hands to whip up gales, with the wind pressure strong enough to easily crush the ground.

These four clone demons could even freely split into smaller, degraded clones to assist themselves in combat.

Against such foes, Rengoku Kyoujurou was beset on all sides, and the more he cut down the enemy's body, the more numerous they became. Although the core clones were still just the four "Joy, Anger, Sorrow, Pleasure," ghosts, this type of demon, that only got stronger the more it was chopped and couldn't be killed, was even more troublesome for Rengoku Kyoujurou, who was famous for the formidable power of his Flame Breathing, than Akaza, with whom he could have a direct confrontation.

Thus, Rengoku Kyoujurou was unsurprisingly besieged by the four clone demons, either being bombarded with Thunder Strike by Sekido wielding the staff or targeted from the air by the half-bird Urogi. Aizetsu, with its cruciform gun, could stand toe-to-toe with Rengoku Kyoujurou, blocking the slashes of his Flame Breathing with shock waves time after time. Meanwhile, Karaku loitered nearby, frolicking as if at play. Rengoku Kyoujurou was simultaneously attacked from the ground and the air, completely unable to defend himself.

In the end, Rengoku Kyoujurou was seized by an opportunity from Urogi, who let out a roar with its ultra-high decibel sound waves, causing Rengoku Kyoujurou's brain to crash instantaneously. Afterward, Karaku, with a swipe of its fan, sent him flying, causing him to soar over half a town. He continued to be pummeled by the wind pressure until he was above the Ubuyashiki family estate. The wind pressure finally dissipated, and Rengoku Kyoujurou fell from the sky, crashing into the courtyard in a woeful state.

There was no need for Rengoku Kyoujurou to remind anyone of these events; Reiger, who understood the original story, was clear about them.

Therefore, seeing the four demons "Joy, Anger, Sorrow, Pleasure" appear, Reiger immediately knew that the Upper Moon Four, the Half-Heavenly Dog, had split its body.

Reiger then focused his senses and opened his transparent world, looking through the bodies of the "Joy, Anger, Sorrow, Pleasure" demons and the surrounding area.

"Not here?"

Reiger narrowed his eyes without any discovery, yet his expression hardly changed.

However, it seemed like bad situations were continuously happening.

Not only had Rengoku Kyoujurou hit a wall, but another pillar seemed to have been defeated as well.

"Bang!"

On the other side of the courtyard, another person smashed into the ground and lay there.

However, unlike Rengoku Kyoujurou, this person had been thrown down.

"Shinobu!"

Ubuyashiki Kagaya's eyes trembled.

The one thrown into the courtyard was none other than Kochou Shinobu.

The condition of this Insect Pillar seemed even worse than that of Rengoku Kyoujurou, her body was chopped up badly all over, her clothes completely soaked in blood, and she was on her last breath.

Two figures then followed, leaping down from mid-air into the courtyard.

"Hmph, I'll eat you later."

The poison on Daki's body seemed to have already dissipated, her rotting head restored to its original state, and she stood, unharmed, beside Kochou Shinobu, kicking her resentfully.

Next to Daki stood another demon.

He was an ugly man with messy hair and many black spots on his body and face, his body emaciated, especially around his very thin waist, so thin that one might worry it would break.

The man's pupils were small, but still, one could vaguely make out the words "Upper Moon" and "Six" inscribed in them, his hair a mix of black and green, his skin a pale gray as if poisoned, his upper body bare, lower body clad in loose blue pants, and his arms wrapped in red and black ribbons, each hand clutching a flesh-like crimson sickle, giving the appearance of a humanoid mantis, exceedingly unnerving.

Such an ugly demon standing next to the relatively prominent, more beautiful Daki undoubtedly created a stark contrast.

However, the "Emotions" quartet focused their attention on the male demon in an instant, ignoring the strikingly beautiful Daki completely.

"You've come out, Gyuutarou." Karaku clapped his hands gleefully, "This is going to be fun."

"Haha." Urogi laughed loudly, "I thought you'd keep hiding inside your sister's body, Gyuutarou."

"Hmph! You've been held back, haven't you?" Sekido said coldly, "You should have come out earlier, but you preferred hiding in your useless sister's body, which is really infuriating."

"Tragic." Aizetsu sighed deeply, "To have to take care for your own sister during such an important task is truly sad."

The words of the four demons directly made Daki bristle.

"Shut up! You four ugly demons!" Daki yelled, "I didn't hold anyone back! I just didn't use my real power, that's all!"

Of course, the four clone demons did not believe her one bit.

"Real power? Do you even have any?"

"I think not! Hahaha!"

"Why would Lord Muzan allow such a weak demon to become Upper Rank Six alongside Gyuutarou? Infuriating!"

"She must have some use, or else it'd be too pathetic."

The four demons, whether in jest, sarcasm, or a sigh of lament, almost made Daki cry on the spot.

"Brother! Look at them!"

Pointing at the four demons, Daki actually snitched to Gyuutarou.

"There, there..."

Gyuutarou reached out his hand and gently touched Daki's head. His voice was somewhat hoarse, his eyes a bit crazed, but from his actions, one could tell he was still quite protective of his sister.

Gyuutarou and Daki, the twin demons, were both siblings and Upper Rank Six, but compared to Daki, Gyuutarou was obviously much stronger, by quite a lot.

The four clone demons only recognized Gyuutarou as Upper Rank and seemed to look down on his sister.

This undoubtedly infuriated Daki, but she also didn't want to pick a fight with "Sekido, Urogi, Aizetsu, Karaku" so carelessly.

It wasn't that she didn't dare to, but that it was pointless.

These four clone demons were just like the emotions they represented. Sekido was only capable of anger, Urogi was always happy, Aizetsu had a deflated will, and Karaku was foolishly cheerful every day. They wouldn't take anything seriously, and even if Daki caused trouble for them, their reactions would always be the same. In the end, it would only make Daki more and more frustrated and confused.

"That damned Hantengu, probably hiding by now, right?" Daki could only rage powerlessly, shouting irritably, "Where's Gyutaro? Where did that freak Gyutaro go?"

Urogi, who had been fluttering around in the air, responded to her question.

"Gyutaro seems to be in a bad way, huh?"

The half-bird demon flew down, carrying a pot with bird claws, and threw it on the ground.

Out of the pot, Gyutaro slowly emerged.

His appearance had changed; he was no longer bald and now bore scales all over his body. His upper body had taken on a human form, not only strong and burly but also with webbed hands. Only his lower body was snake-like, yet he managed to crawl out of the pot.

This form of Gyutaro was a stark contrast to the slick appearance from before, making it evident that in this state, he was much stronger than before.

Yet even so, at this moment, Gyutaro's scales were scorched black, and the wounds seemed unable to heal any time soon, continuously causing him pain.

"Be careful of that boy called Tsukiguni Yoriichi!"

Gyutaro said, sweating profusely as he shouted.

"There's something wrong with his sword, and his swordsmanship is also problematic. My scales are harder than diamond, but he sliced through them with one strike. The damage he caused can't regenerate. If I hadn't been able to instantly move to another pot, I would have died just now...!"

His words sent a chill through the other demons.

"Well done, Yoriichi!"

Rengoku Kyoujurou's eyes lit up, as though he saw a glimmer of hope for victory.

As he and Kochou Shinobu faced a complete defeat, Reiger managed to defeat an Upper Rank demon on his own, and it appeared rather effortlessly, which undeniably gave Rengoku Kyoujurou confidence.

Not only Rengoku Kyoujurou but even Kochou Shinobu, who lay dying on the ground, struggled to lift her eyelids and look toward Reiger.

In such a situation, Reiger remained calmer than anyone else.

"Upper Rank Four..."

"Upper Rank Five..."

"Upper Rank Six..."

All three Upper Ranks had joined the fray, huh?

Good.

"I was just thinking of having a proper talk with Kibutsuji Muzan."

Reiger said so.

"Let's deal with you first."
