Chapter 4: The Blue mountains
at the gates of the blue mountains there arrived Gandalf and Dilan Dismounting their horses as they walked through the gates of the blue mountains
As Gandalf and Dilan walked side by side through the crowded streets of the dwarven lands, Dilan Glance around captivated by the dwarves craftsmanship the smell of metal lingers in the air all weapons and armor displayed at the market, "Wow" his head tilted doing a twist and turn surveying the towns economic development
"Amazing isn't it" Gandalf spoke as he made a small chuckle "the craftsmanship of these dwarves are quite remarkable the best of the best if you may ask"
"indeed" Dilan thought if he would've wanted to buy something from them he'd have no problem with currency as he can just conjure a chest filled with gold coins with a snap of his fingers
SYSTEM:
(New skills unlocked, Rare)
Dilan looked at the screen his inner self shaking thrilled at the newly unlocked skill and even better it's categorized as Rare.
though Dilan notice that the skill he gets from the system is given at random just the like the chaos magic itself it has no set's of rule's filled with unpredictable surprises
"Awesome and it's categorized as rare," he giggled silently however he put it aside for now as he and Gandalf still need to seek out Thorin
"Oh Dilan. I've found us a stable" Gandalf called out to Dilan pointing to the right side of the road "why don't we leave our horses there for a while"
and so, they walked through the dwarven lands asking for the whereabouts of Thorin
one Dwarf pointen at the direction of the large and tall Smelting area, gandalf thanked the dwarf and had proceeded walking towards the place he was directed to with Dilan following behind him
before they could even enter the tall Smelting area a gust of hot wind came out the Building along with the smell of iron.
they stepped in only to find Thorin oakenshield shirtless as he repeatedly hammered the hot and burning weapon,
though originally Dilan thoroughly recalled that in the original tale of middle-earth Gandalf was supposed to meet Thorin in bree at prancing pony.
perhaps his presence somehow change the course of the story Dilan pondered for a moment then he turned his attention to Gandalf who is now approaching Thorin
"Greetings Thorin oakenshield son of
Thrain ll. I'm Gandalf, Gandalf the Grey
and right beside me is my acquaintance Dilan Emerson, a wizard like i"
Clang Clang Clang
the sound of Thorin's hammer rang inside the building intently with sheer force then he paused momentarily shifting his attention to
Gandalf
"i know who you are" he respond in a Deep Cold voice, setting his hammer aside "tell me to what do i owe the pleasure of this visit"
"i ask that you take up arms, rally the seven armies and reclaim Erebor and defeat the dragon Smaug" he announced trying to persuade Thorin to take on the quest.
Thorin chuckled "and what makes you think we can defeat the dragon." He
scoffed the sound a bitter dismissal of a foolhardy notion.
"I understand your doubt, but the plight of your people demands action. it is vital for your people's lives and reclaim your Homeland" Gandalf exclaimed, brimming with confidence making a stand
Thorin stepped closer to Gandalf looking up showing an intense gaze "in case you haven't known yet, smaug has the jewel that can influence unity upon the seven armies" He argued at Gandalf's statement.
gandalf however grinned "what if i help you reclaim it"
Thorin turned around placing his hand on the wooden table, as he contemplate on
Gandalf's word's uncertain of the possible outcomes of this quest, the room fell silent for a moment,
"Very well" after a few contemplation Thorin agreed to go on a quest to reclaim his kingdom "However i still Doubt that you would actually help without something in return. what is it that you want, name your price" a grim determination set upon Thorin's features, his jaw tight as he nodded. While his words spoke of agreement, a shadow of doubt lingered in the depths of his eyes, hinting at the price he expected Gandalf to pay.
Gandalf gave a soft and playful laugh, his face slowly turning serious with reassurance "My price, Thorin, is not something I can easily name in gold or jewels. It is the future of this land, the safety of its people, and the defeat of a darkness that threatens us all. that is what i desire"
"and your friend?" Thorin gaze shifting towards Dilan his eyes Peirce him with an intimidating gaze
"now that you mentioned it," Gandalf's gaze also shifted at Dilan's direction with a grin
Dilan slightly Distracted turned his attention to Thorin and Gandalf as he stood silently slightly confused at the sudden stare, as he realized what the sudden gazes is about
"We'll Dilan, what say you?."
Gandalf stood gazing at Dilan with a smile overflowing with expectant
Dilan Smiled his hand's clenched thumping his chest with overflowing confidence "Count me in! This sounds amazing!"
Gandalf showed a bright smile full of Delight at Dilan's response "Excellent. But remember, even the smallest details can hold great import."
then Gandalf turned around his robe gracefully swayed, he turned his haid slightly towards Thorin "Let us meet at the shire in a few month's time
Dilan and Gandalf exited the building
and went to the stables to retrieve their Mount's
as Gandalf was about to mount his steed Dilan Called out to him "Gandalf, wait"
Gandalf stood in confused of Dilan's sudden call " is there something the matter Dilan?"
Dilan Grinned "why don't we use a shortcut it'll save us the long journey"
Gandalf paused for a moment then recalled of Dilan's ability of teleportation a smile begin a smile flickered across his face "well then, what are we standing here for" Gandalf placed his hand on Dilan as they vanished into thin air. of course Dilan came back for the Mount's as well.
