"START!" Ah, I had missed Present Mic's introduction, I had been so wrapped up in my thoughts about what to expect from Tanya that I had blocked out the background noise.

Tanya reacted to Present Mic's voice, raising her rifle and firing without hesitation. I barely flinched as I mowed down every bullet that came my way. I could hear her clicking her tongue.

His rifle lit up slightly and fired a bullet that exploded upon contact with my sword, creating a cloud of dust. I swung my sword sharply, creating a gust of wind that pushed all the dust out of sight. My vision turned to the front where Tanya was.

Tanya was running to the side with the rifle in her hand, she suddenly stopped, her gun glowing brighter -he ? That wasn't Tanya. I couldn't sense anything with my haki from that 'Tanya', a hologram, so I ignored her and narrowed my eyes. Tanya wasn't in the ring.

My body moved before I could register what had happened. Burning Bones , Summer Sun , I made several circular movements in front of me, just in time to receive what could be the largest explosion yet. My defensive movement protected me from the worst of the explosion, and my aura from the rest. But that didn't matter when I felt the ring crumbling beneath my feet.

I immediately jumped into the air and started using Geppo, in the air. I waved my sword again to blow away the dust and looked at the ring. It was completely destroyed, totally destroyed, nothing was left. The explosion had been huge. If it hadn't been me, anyone else would have been destroyed.

I looked up to where Tanya stood with a cold, calm, and calculating expression, flying with her rifle in her hands as she aimed at me, her rifle still glowing brightly.

"THE RING HAS BEEN DESTROYED!!! THIS IS BECOMING AN AIR BATTLE PEOPLE!!! HOW EXCITING!! I ignored Present Mic's scream and continued jumping in the sky.

"That was dangerous. Someone could get hurt." I said with a smile as I looked at Tanya.

"And yet you don't have any injuries," Tanya replied, smiling widely at her.

"I don't know, I need a replacement for my suit." I pointed at my clothes. I hadn't really been hurt in any way, but the explosion had ripped my shirt and pants in several places. Especially my shirt, which had a huge cut across my abdomen leaving it almost completely exposed.

"I'd apologize, but… you don't seem to mind." Tanya said as she narrowed her eyes. I shrugged.

"Not really." I said simply and looked her straight in the eyes. "Now… why don't we start this fight off properly?" I hadn't even finished speaking when Tanya's finger pulled the trigger.

I kicked the air hard and disappeared from where I was, being in the air limited my speed to a certain extent, but I was still fast. In the blink of an eye I was behind Tanya with Yubashiri unsheathed. Clear Blue Sky , I turned 360° in the air.

Tanya turned violently dodging my attack by blow, adjusted her weapon and quickly aimed at me, the barrel of her rifle was just a few centimeters from my face. And she fired. Fake Rainbow , the bullet pierced my afterimage as I appeared next to Tanya.

The sword was not suitable, but, Serpent Breathing: Third Form: Coil Choke , My sword undulated like a snake and cut Tanya's rifle into pieces before trying to cut her.

To my slight surprise, a translucent shield collided with my sword, stopping it slightly. Tanya spun in the air and tried to kick me in the ribs, using the tip of Yubashiri's hilt to stop the blow. Still, Tanya took advantage of the moment to shoot into the sky.

A strong kick in the air and I quickly reached her. She spun in the air and pulled out a knife and a gun, she met my attack with her knife, or did what she could since her defense was rejected by my attack leaving her completely exposed. Tanya barely flinched as she used her gun to shoot me at point-blank range.

My hand moved quickly, too close to use Yubashiri to cut the bullets, so I infused one of my hands with Haki and caught the bullets, I could see a disbelieving look on Tanya's face that lasted only a few moments before her gun lit up once more. Her quirk again.

Yubashiri moved much faster than before and vertically slashed at Tanya's gun who was holding it all in her hands.

"Wha-?" Tanya's incredulous voice escaped as her weapon was cut in two. Taking advantage of her carelessness, Water Breathing: Eighth Form: Waterfall Basin , she could barely react as my downward vertical strike collided with her barely formed shield. Her barrier shattered effortlessly and Yubashiri slammed into Tanya's body.

Tanya let out a groan of pain as she was thrown down hard. I barely managed to catch myself as she got her bearings and began to fly just a few inches above the ground. I landed on her shoulder as I dropped all my weight on her. She hit the ground.

"ah" Tanya blurted out stupidly before sighing.

"AND THE WINNER IS MIYAMURA!!! PARTICIPANT DEGURECHAFF TOUCHED THE GROUND SO SHE WAS IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED! AMAZING FIGHT!!

"Well played, your first attack was the first hit I received in the entire competition, well done" I congratulated Tanya as I got off her shoulder, Tanya nodded.

"I had hopes, however small, that they would finish you off," she said neutrally, and I nodded.

"Maybe if I couldn't jump in the air." I said amused, Tanya sighed as she nodded.

"Yeah, really unfair." She said simply, I smiled at her mockingly.

"She who can fly speaks," she shrugged, but a small smile formed on her lips. I rolled my eyes. "We have to go so the ring can be repaired. Again, good play." I waved goodbye to Tanya as I walked out of the fighting area.

Once I got back to the waiting room and got a replacement for my torn outfit, I walked back to the stands, only seeing Taylor and Ruby sitting together, although Ruby quickly moved leaving an empty space between them, I sat down without hesitation.

"Congratulations Izumi" Taylor congratulated with a small smile.

"Yes! Congratulations Izumi! "You made it to the semi-finals! " Ruby said with a big smile. " Azula went off to prepare for her fight, but she also sends you her congratulations! " I smiled at her and nodded in her direction.

"Thank you both," I smiled at them.

"The fight between Midoriya and Todoroki is about to start! Who are you betting on? " Ruby asked excitedly, Taylor snorted amusedly.

"Oh, rather, who do you want to fight? Whoever wins will advance to the semi-finals and fight you." Taylor said amusedly, ah, she knew me so well. My gaze turned to the ring which was now repaired once again, really, having Cementoss was cheating.

"Neither of you" I said simply, that stopped them both and they looked at me in disbelief.

" Tay-Tay ! Izumi is sick ! We have to take her to see Recovery Girl ! To Akari "Shimizu ! " Ruby said, panicking.

"Are you okay Izumi, do you feel something wrong? Any ailments or other abnormalities besides delusions? " Taylor asked worriedly.

"Oh, screw you." I snorted annoyedly, that stopped both of them from acting up, they looked at each other for a few moments before bursting out laughing, a smile grew on my face but I still rolled my eyes. "But seriously, I don't want to fight either of you, not… like you are right now." I said once they both calmed down from their laughter, they both looked at me curiously. "Todoroki is limiting her strength for some reason, she only uses her ice side when she could use fire as well, while Midoriya has to limit his strength because he can't handle all the output volume he has. Both options don't seem appealing" I said honestly

" Eehh , I guess that makes sense" Ruby said as she looked at both participants entering the ring.

The fight was almost exactly the same as canon, except for fewer broken bones on Midoriya's side. He ultimately lost in the final clash between the two. This time, no one intervened, instead they collided head-on. Midoriya was pushed out of the ring almost completely unharmed, his aura was still above half full and he had taken the brunt of the clash. While Todoroki had a little over a third of his aura left.

"Well... so she used her fire, are you excited now?" Taylor asked, I hummed lightly.

"I don't think he'll use it again," I said honestly, "whatever her reason is for avoiding her fire side, it's close to a mental trauma, that she was able to overcome it momentarily is no indication that she's overcome it, she's on the way, but... she still has a long way to go." I said simply, Ruby wrinkled her nose.

"Everything is so complicated" Ruby said while pouting, I smiled bitterly, but nodded.

"Yes, it is." I agreed. Taylor did too, with that, she stood up, waved goodbye, and left to prepare for the next duel while Azula and Yunyun entered the ring.

The fight was… again pretty quick.

Yunyun grew nervous at the thought of fighting Azula, who was once part of her team. Azula didn't. Yunyun panicked as Azula quickly approached her personal area. Azula took advantage of this, dodging the attack Yunyun threw at her in panic and using her chi blocking to leave her completely limp on the ground.

Now she felt sorry for Yunyun and her shyness. Azula seemed to feel sorry for her too because she stayed talking to her for a few seconds before walking away leaving Yunyun with a small smile.

Now, it was time for the last fight of the second round. Bakugou vs Taylor.

They both got into the ring.

"Did I miss anything?" Azula asked as she sat down next to me.

"Not yet, Present Mic is still doing the introductions." I said amusedly. Azula snorted.

"You have too much imagination, I'll admit it. I'm sure I'll have the epithet 'Exiled Princess' or one of the variants that I shout, for the rest of my stay in Japan." Azula snorted as she crossed her arms, snorting amusedly.

"I like them!" Ruby said suddenly before pouting "I wish I could have gotten to dueling, I want a cool nickname too" Ruby said plaintively "but Izumi's title is already trending! You're among the top most talked about things on the internet! #SwordPrince is already trending!!" I turned around suddenly to look at Ruby.

"Wait what!? Seriously?! " I exclaimed in disbelief, Ruby smiled widely as she pulled out her phone and showed it to me. It took me two seconds to look at the phone before I groaned loudly.

"I hate Present Mic" I groaned in pain "do you think I could get away with this if I cut to the booth she's in?" I asked reluctantly as I scrolled through the internet, there were also pictures of me in abundance.

"Hey, I didn't think you'd care about me being internet famous." Azula said amused, I let out a loud snort.

"That doesn't bother me, it's that stupid nickname that bothers me." I said reluctantly as I moved the phone out of my sight and handed it back to Ruby.

"oh, it's not that bad" Ruby said lightly "there's one for Taylor too! #BugQueen!"

"I'm sure she'll love it," I said dryly, though I meant it, Taylor would love the title. "The fight's about to start." I said simply, which made the pair next to me look at the ring immediately.

The fight had begun.
