JOJO: Madness of Multiverse

Chapter 131: Chapter 132: Star Platinum’s Haki Form

"Ora ora ora ora ora ora…"

Star Platinum's burly figure stood in front of Jotaro, like a mountain that could not be shaken.

The rapidly swinging fists stirred up wave after wave of sharp gales.

Any incoming heatwave or shrapnel, as long as it touched them, would be completely deflected, or even shattered!

The increase in time-stop duration meant that Star Platinum's own power was also increasing.

With his current strength and speed, even if Jotaro were in the center of the explosion, Star Platinum could still protect Jotaro completely.

Just protecting him alone, this level of power and speed was already enough.

But behind Jotaro, there was still an entire squad.

Protecting so many people at the same time, even for Star Platinum, was troublesome.

"Ora ora ora!"

Smashing away the deadly shrapnel, Star Platinum, under Jotaro's conscious control, immediately changed direction.

However, trying to protect the lives of so many people in just a few seconds was extremely difficult.

"Yare yare… I can only try that move."

Jotaro raised his hand, golden ripple energy quickly spread from his body, also carrying dark-purple haki.

Gold and purple intertwined, and in the blink of an eye, they had already covered Jotaro's entire body. Radiant light burst forth, it looked incomparably holy.

Yet at that moment, no one appreciated the sight, because the light lasted for only an instant.

Fast. It was just too fast!

Star Platinum's already extremely fast punches suddenly surged again.

Armament haki could enhance both the user's defense and attack power. The power of haki needed to be exerted through the user's main body.

Stands were the projection of power relying on life force and spiritual strength. After the user's life and spirit were improved, the stand's power would also be enhanced.

Unfortunately, Star Platinum, as this type of stand, could not produce or carry haki.

Maybe only those whose body was the stand could easily achieve that.

After Jotaro's physical constitution improved, Star Platinum's strength and speed indeed increased, but just like the time-stop duration increase, the boost wasn't tremendous.

After all, haki was not a power native to this world. Jotaro's training was incredibly difficult, slow progress was normal.

But without a doubt, with Jotaro's world-class learning talent, even though this world limited the factors affecting haki, he still made astonishing progress in a very short time.

His training speed, even Luffy's haki teacher, the Dark King Rayleigh, would drop his jaw if he saw it.

Luffy used up a full year and a half to learn all the basics of armament haki.

Jotaro only used half a month. And he reached this stage while training casually.

It was indeed very difficult to further enhance haki's power in this world, so Jotaro naturally came up with another solution to improve his strength.

If it weren't him, but a stand like Star Platinum using haki, then the result would no doubt be terrifying.

Star Platinum's strength alone was already extraordinarily powerful, if it were supported by haki as well, that would surely cause a qualitative leap.

With this idea, he immediately tried to channel haki into Star Platinum.

The result was obvious: it failed.

The moment Star Platinum's hand touched haki, Jotaro's corresponding hand instantly became full of cracks, a large amount of blood gushed out.

He was wounded by his own haki.

Jotaro had self-learned the technique of flowing external release of haki, but haki and ripple energy were not the same.

After leaving the body, haki could only destroy, whereas ripple still remained connected to the user.

Solely using external haki flow was not enough to let Star Platinum be wrapped in haki.

So, Jotaro used ripple as a medium to transmit haki, combining two completely different energies. The difficulty of this can be imagined.

He not only had to constantly maintain the balance between the two, but also control them after leaving his body.

Strong mental power and precision, both were absolutely necessary.

The golden ripple, like a gently flowing stream, slowly covered Star Platinum's entire body, while the dark-purple haki was like an oil film floating on the water's surface.

Except, this oil film was much thicker than the water.

Ripple was just a thin layer, but the haki above it surged and churned violently.

Over the flashing gold, the dark-purple glow continuously flickered, and Star Platinum's figure also became clearly visible in that moment.

In less than a second, it unleashed countless punches.

The loud roar of the explosion slowly faded, and Shinohara's entire squad safely landed on the rooftop of the opposite building.

Although each person suffered various degrees of injury, not a single one lost their life.

To save them from that kind of situation, in the whole world, only Jotaro could have done it.

"What exactly happened!"

Coming back to his senses, Shinohara realized that they had left their original position and arrived on a different building.

Could the blast's shockwave have sent them flying here?

He quickly shook his head and threw away that thought.

In that situation, they would've already been roasted, even if blown away, they would have died.

Akira struggled to get up from the ground, also finding it strange to suddenly appear on another rooftop.

She looked around, but did not see that figure. In an instant, her expression turned panicked. She couldn't care about anything else, immediately started searching.

Panting, she stopped in front of Shinohara.

"Special-Class Shinohara? Why isn't First-Class Kujo here?"

Shinohara was counting heads at that moment. Finding everyone present, he secretly sighed in relief.

After hearing Akira's question, only then did Shinohara realize Jotaro had vanished.

He remembered the trajectory of the missile, the point of impact was exactly where Jotaro had been.

'Could it be that he already…'

"Impossible!" Akira refused to accept that reality.

"At the time we weren't far from him. Why are we fine?"

Shinohara's face darkened. He patted Akira on the shoulder to comfort her, "Maybe it was fate. I'm not entirely sure what happened the moment the explosion occurred."

He noticed the damaged billboard to the side and speculated, "Something must have helped block the heatwave, so we could safely land here."

"If he's not here, that means… he wasn't so… lucky…"

He'd already put it very tactfully.

He remembered clearly, Jotaro's position had been the very center of the explosion. Even an SSS-class ghoul likely had no chance of survival there.

"Impossible… impossible…"

Akira just blankly repeated those three words,

not even noticing the tears running down her cheeks.

Suddenly, she covered her mouth, feeling spasms in her stomach, convulsing, wanting to vomit.

"Akira, are you alright?"

Watching Akira kneel on the ground, Shinohara looked deeply worried.

Akira seemed to have lost all perception of the outside world, immersed in inexplicable sorrow.

Shinohara sighed, he could understand her feelings.

Though Kujo had killed Director Washuu and was a criminal to the CCG, in Akira's eyes, he was probably still an outstanding superior.

People might just be like this, different positions, different things they see.

He didn't continue to comfort Akira. Having experienced this himself, he knew, only time could ease this kind of loss and grief.

"Let's go back! This battle is officially over!" Shinohara announced loudly.

Suddenly, Akira froze. She noticed a new fist mark on her chest, before, there had been no such injury on her body.

Her skin was slightly indented, yet there wasn't much pain.

The feeling of being punched, she hadn't experienced it much, but it felt strangely familiar.

'No mistake, the one who hit me, was Jotaro. But when did he throw that punch?'
