Journey to the West: Life Simulation of Sun Wukong

Chapter 55 The Natural Saint

Three Lives Academy.

Hai Feng and three other students were placed together in the same dormitory room at the academy.

The dormitory wasn't very large, but it was sufficiently spacious, with four beds symmetrically arranged, desks underneath them, and wooden bunks on top. After arranging their bedding and such, they introduced themselves to each other.

Among the three students, two were human, and the other was a demon, specifically a spotted deer. However, it had already completely transformed, save for the two small antlers on its head, its black nose, and a short tail behind it, making it nearly indistinguishable from a human.

Moreover, those antlers gave the spotted deer demon a rather imposing appearance.

"My name is Mei Jun. You can call me Mei or Jun, either is fine," Mei Jun, the deer demon, was the first to introduce himself, then took out an oil-paper bag containing seven or eight fist-sized black and white spherical objects.

Those were black and white bean curd cakes.

"This is the most famous delicacy from Ao Lai, bean curd cake, I heard it's from Huaguo Mountain, very expensive," said the burlier young man with surprise.

"If you want to eat them, just take one, but only one per person," Mei Jun said.

Another young man took a piece, took a bite, and commented, "The taste is indeed good; it contains spiritual energy. By the way, my name is Su Yonglin, from Qi Country in the Nanshan Continent."

"My name is Wu Ming, styled Xi Jin. You can call me Wu Ming, or Wu Xi Jin," the strapping young man said while also grabbing a bean curd cake to introduce himself.

Finally, it was Hai Feng's turn.

He wasn't fond of lively scenes, let alone the fact that Mei Jun was a spotted deer demon.

He had no positive feelings towards non-human demons.

"My name is Hai Feng."

Just that, coldly put, and then he said no more.

"It seems our last roommate is a bit shy," chuckled Su Yonglin, not minding it.

"Do you want some bean curd cake? It's really tasty," Mei Jun offered, reaching the paper bag out to Hai Feng, but Hai Feng did not take it, simply saying, "I don't accept unwarranted rewards."

This deer demon must have placed some mind-controlling drug in the cakes!

These two heedlessly put it in their mouths; eventually, they would surely become puppets under the deer demon's control. He could not be deceived.

This deer before him surely had ulterior motives!

"Oh."

Mei Jun set the bean curd cakes on the table by his bed, then suggested, "Classes begin tomorrow. Why don't I show you around the academy today?"

"No problem," replied Wu Ming. "I've only recently arrived at Huaguo Mountain; it would be great to have you, the deer spirit, as our guide."

"I've spent some time at Huaguo Mountain, mostly settling at the seaside port. As for the interior, I've only heard about the seventy-two citadels. I've never been to the Three Lives Academy before," Su Yonglin added, looking expectantly at Mei Jun.

Mei Jun smiled and said, "In that case, come with me."

The three set out together, and just as they stepped out of the dormitory, Mei Jun suddenly noticed one person was missing. Seeing Hai Feng still sitting on his bed, he asked, "Hai Feng, aren't you coming along?"

"No, I prefer some quiet time alone," Hai Feng replied.

"Oh."

Mei Jun nodded, understanding that Hai Feng didn't seem to like talking or lively scenarios, so he didn't press any further and left the dormitory with Su Yonglin and Wu Ming.

In the dormitory, Hai Feng clenched his fists tightly: "This academy, to actually arrange for humans and demons to live together, is truly insidious! I really want to slay that heart-bewitching demon."

But he knew he couldn't do that, otherwise, he would have no place to stand in Huaguo Mountain.

He had to change his nature, learn to adapt to the rules of Huaguo Mountain, and then make plans slowly.

"Master, what should I do?"

"Be still."

The remnant soul of Devil Luo appeared, floating in front of Hai Feng with a relaxed face, "Since you've infiltrated this place, then study well. The spells here are quite rich. Your choice of cultivating immortality coincides with utilizing the resources here to improve yourself—as long as you do not lose your initial resolve."

As long as this child did not lose his indifferent heart towards life, he would never be swayed by the teachings of Huaguo Mountain.

That hatred for demons would eventually turn into a demonic heart.

"That's a good idea," Hai Feng nodded. "It's just that my professor is an old fox... Letting a crafty creature like a fox teach humans to cultivate immortality, this Huaguo Mountain is truly nefarious."

"Master, is there a way to eliminate that old fox without anyone noticing?"

"Just thinking about that old fox teaching the cultivation of immortality to humans gives me the creeps."

Devil Luo's remnant soul: "..."

This child was beyond salvation...

But for him, he was an excellent pawn.

Yet to be honest, whether to help this unworthy disciple with this matter was a difficult decision. The risk was considerable.

If the ruler of Huaguo Mountain, Sun Wukong, or that bastard Sakyamuni discovered him, this shred of his soul could very well be exposed, ruining his last chance.

Moreover, there are others who can be pawns in Huaguo Mountain, which has traces of the Six-Eared Macaque.

Compared to humans, the Six-Eared Macaque, one of the four chaotic monkeys, would be more suited to be his underling, though at present, he could only faintly sense its presence—the exact situation of the Six-Eared Macaque would need to be investigated.

If he couldn't start with the Six-Eared Macaque, he might have to bide his time with Hai Feng.

And this Huaguo Mountain seemed to have other demon kings filled with murderous aura, but their energy felt somewhat feeble?

That was something to be confirmed as well.

If they could be utilized, he would need Hai Feng to make contact.

"Knock knock knock!"

At the dormitory door, a monkey that looked just like a human knocked and asked, "Are you student Hai Feng?"

"Yes." YoursupportatMV^LEMP^YRkeepstheseriesgoing.

Suppressing the revulsion inside, Hai Feng still managed a slight smile because in Huaguo Mountain, the king of ten thousand demons was a monkey. Based on past experience, monkey demons were absolutely not to be provoked on Huaguo Mountain.

"Come with me, there has been a small error with the dormitory assigned to you, and it needs to be rearranged," the monkey said expressionlessly.

"Is that so, that's great."

Hai Feng breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that if possible, all three of his roommates would be human.

Following the monkey out of the dormitory, Hai Feng noticed something was amiss.

Not a soul in this corridor!

Too quiet.

It was so quiet that he could only hear the tapping of footsteps, and even the thumping of his heart was clearly audible.

This is not normal!

"This monkey is off, I didn't even notice when he appeared at the door; you need to be careful," the remnant soul of Mo Luo warned.

Suddenly, Hai Feng stopped in his tracks and demanded, "Who exactly are you?"

"Found out, have you?"

The monkey chuckled lightly and changed into another figure—it was Sun Wukong.

Hai Feng shuddered.

He had never seen Sun Wukong, but in Huaguo Mountain, the only being who could create a silent, empty space like this was none other than Sun Wukong.

But he doesn't understand, why would Sun Wukong seek him out?

Could it be that after seeing his potential for cultivation, Wukong wanted to devour him, and then have a demon ape wear his skin, pretending to be him?

As expected!

Demons are still demons!

"You think too much," said Sun Wukong, his arms crossed as he scrutinized Hai Feng with a melancholic tone, "Won't the Mo Luo hiding inside this young man come out and meet me?"

The figure of Mo Luo's remnant soul appeared, sighing, "Truly deserving of a sacred being birthed from the Immortal Stone since the dawn of creation, such a young age to achieve the Great Divine Power, it is truly inconceivable."

"Logically, even if one is born sacred and omniscient, it should not happen so quickly. To attain the Great Divine Power, one normally must go through various trials and tribulations, to truly understand one's essence."

"After all, among the red dust, it is easiest for humans to forget their true nature, oblivious to how many have chased fame and fortune after becoming immortals."

"But you seem different."

"Can you tell me why?"

Sun Wukong remained impassive and slowly said, "Because I am born a Saint."

Mo Luo's remnant soul: "..."

Can you have a normal conversation?

A few compliments, and you really soar high into the sky?

So nonchalant about a demon from Buddha.

"You need not think about escaping."

With a stomp of Sun Wukong's right foot, the surrounding walls shattered like glass, revealing a vast expanse of nothingness.

"Your mastery of the way of space isn't bad," Mo Luo's remnant soul sighed. "It seems you have come for me, but can you tell me how you found me?"

He believed his casual glance previously couldn't have been that powerful, and even if sensed by Sun Wukong, he shouldn't have been found so quickly.

Even though he was merely a strand of Primordial Spirit, it was still of the Mixed Origin level.

It shouldn't be so quick for Sun Wukong...

He had wanted to find some people in Huaguo Mountain to test Sun Wukong and the Heavenly Court.

But now, those thoughts had been cut off.

"I can." Sun Wukong was willing to chat with the strand of Mixed Origin level Primordial Spirit before him.

"I would love to hear the details."

Mo Luo's remnant soul listened earnestly.

"Master, how can you fraternize with this demon?!" Seeing his own master chatting more and more animatedly with Sun Wukong, Hai Feng got upset; he didn't want Mo Luo to turn from the light to darkness.

The look on Mo Luo's remnant soul darkened.

This foolish boy, stirring up the very topic he should avoid.

Can't he see that he's just stalling for time?

He's just a strand of Primordial Spirit, while the other is a complete being of the Great Divine Power level; if they really started fighting, him lasting three moves would be considered good.

Although he could condense Demonic Qi, giving someone immense Divine Skills and vast Mana in an instant,

Such a hastily created enforcer could overpower any Heavenly Immortal or those below who had not attained the Great Divine Power, but against those who had, they were too easily defeated.

"It seems you have fooled this young man quite miserably," Sun Wukong said with amusement.

"You have no right to talk about Master like that!"

Hai Feng glared furiously at Sun Wukong, "Where were you celestial beings when I was suffering? Master saved me!"

"I, Old Sun, don't know what you've endured in your youth, nor do I want to know, but if you're going to generalize, then Old Sun has ways of waking you up," Sun Wukong said and with cold golden eyes stared down Mo Luo, "Now, to answer your question again."

"Because."

"I am born a Saint."

Mo Luo: "..."

Are you playing with me!?
