Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Six Eyes.
"Let me think… how about this? You all come at me one by one and show me your full strength. And I mean full strength!"
On the training ground, Gojo Satoru rolled up his sleeves and casually addressed the five students standing before him. His usual lazy tone somehow still managed to sound smug.
Maki stepped forward, her gaze sharp. "I'll go first."
Gojo shifted his stance, hands in his pockets. Maki tightened her grip on her wooden staff, cleared her mind, and shot forward.
She reached Gojo in an instant, pivoting as her staff sliced through the air toward his upper body with a sharp whistle.
But the blur of her strike halted abruptly—her weapon caught effortlessly by a single well-defined hand.
Gojo smirked. "Maki, did you use up all your strength during the last round? I said full strength."
He pushed his sunglasses down slightly, his gaze now serious.
"Sure, this is to prep for the exchange event, but more importantly… I want you to learn something that'll keep you alive out there."
His usual grin returned. "So, treat me like a real enemy. Because I'm not holding back. After all—"
He raised a finger. "I'm invincible."
Maki charged again.
But the moment her staff swept in, Gojo bent backward with impossible speed, narrowly dodging the strike. He dropped to the ground, swept her feet with a leg kick, and fluidly rose back up, countering with a flurry of open palm strikes and jabs.
Maki was instantly pushed on the defensive. It felt like she was fighting three people at once.
But her frustration only pushed her further. She fought with raw instinct, expertly wielding her staff—but Gojo's movements were like flickers of light. She could see his starting point and where he ended up, but not how he got there.
Even if he stood still and let her hit him, his Limitless Technique would've nullified the blow anyway.
He dismantled her offense, casually pointing out her openings mid-fight like a coach giving notes. Every lazy-looking counterattack carried weight. This wasn't training—it was a lesson.
Still, Maki didn't relent. Training injuries were normal. She welcomed them.
After dozens of exchanges, Gojo tapped her forehead with a clean palm strike, sending her sprawling.
"Next!" he called.
Off to the side, Hajime sighed. "He's actually using his Technique… how are we supposed to keep up?"
Panda stretched, clapped his paws together. "Sounds perfect! I'm up!"
Panda charged in and immediately activated Gorilla Mode.
But a few seconds later, Hajime watched him go flying, crashing upside down into the grass. Gojo hadn't even moved much—just casually warming up.
As a unique Cursed Corpse, Panda had three cores—his balanced self, his power-focused Gorilla form, and a speed-based "older sister" personality rarely seen. His Vibration Palm was especially dangerous—designed to bypass armor and defenses.
None of it worked.
"Alright~ Next student!" Gojo smiled cheerfully, eyes now fixed on Hajime.
Sighing, Hajime picked up a wooden sword and stepped forward. "Gojo-sensei, isn't this just a one-sided beatdown? I can't bypass Limitless yet."
Gojo waved him on. "Don't say that, Hajime. I want to see how far you've come—"
Bang!
A sudden gust of wind cracked the air. Hajime's figure blurred forward, stopping just short of Gojo—but he was already flying backward, his sword shattered into splinters.
In midair, Hajime vanished again—reappearing on the path he'd been struck. He rubbed his wrist and grumbled, "You're seriously going all out?"
Gojo tilted his head, intrigued. "That was your Reversed Technique, right? You've refined it this far already?"
Hajime chuckled. "How about a deal, sensei? Let's go hand-to-hand. I won't use my Technique to accelerate, and you don't use yours to push me away."
Gojo gave him a look. Then smirked. "No way... would the invincible Gojo-sensei back out of a fair fight?"
With a laugh, he agreed. "Alright."
Hajime's expression turned calm. He walked forward with measured steps, blade in hand. Even without his Technique enhancing his speed, his Cursed Energy control alone made him fast.
Maki, Panda, Yuta, and Inumaki watched intently. Hajime's earlier blitz had been so fast they couldn't even follow it.
Now, he exchanged blows with Gojo using pure martial skill.
Hajime focused, adjusting his rhythm. He was trying to feel the Black Flash again. Without his speed-enhancing Technique, every move had to count.
He dodged, blocked, and countered awkwardly—but every strike was filled with intent.
Gojo played along, not using his full speed, allowing Hajime to press forward.
"Hajime—" Gojo teased, "—you've got something up your sleeve. Don't tell me you'll go down before pulling it off?"
Hajime smirked, parrying Gojo's strike and throwing a heavy punch.
"This feeling… it's coming—!"
Black Flash!
Maki gasped. "That's the same Black Flash he used during that mission!"
Yuta blinked. "What's a Black Flash? That black glow... it looked intense."
As Maki explained it, Hajime's Black Flash collided with Gojo's palm—its energy completely absorbed.
Then Gojo countered with a clean punch to Hajime's gut.
"Careful when you're airborne!" Gojo called out, chasing after Hajime like a blur.
As Hajime flew back, he smiled.
Perfect.
"This is it. If I tried to use my Technique directly on Gojo-sensei, I'd have to overcome Limitless, Six Eyes, his Cursed Energy output—it'd fail."
"But this… this is the real plan."
Hajime activated his Technique midair.
Technique Reversal: Time Wheel - Reverse.
The world rewound for an instant. Instead of Gojo rushing toward him, Hajime was now standing in his original position. In front of him, Gojo's back was wide open.
Now!
He turned and struck.
Another Black Flash erupted—this one more precise, perfectly anchored. Hajime had reversed time to land it right at the critical moment.
Pseudo Black Flash Double Strike.
But just before impact—Gojo turned with a smile.
He caught the strike in his hand.
Then punched Hajime in the stomach again, this time dropping him completely.
"Ugh… ngh…"
Hajime slumped to the ground, gasping.
He looked up. "Gojo-sensei… how…?"
Gojo whistled. "Hajime's Technique—Time Wheel. Pretty useful. But didn't you just show me how your reversal works? And have you forgotten?"
He pulled down his sunglasses, revealing glowing blue eyes.
"My Six Eyes don't have blind spots."
Hajime groaned, pounding the grass.
"Cheater! You've got map hacks!"
