Jujutsu Kaisen: I Have A Gardevoir

Chapter 188: Ch.188 The Chosen Child… Sure We Didn’t Stumble Into the Wrong Show?

A stunning cerulean figure leapt down, pausing before the cave.

The entrance wasn't spacious—wide enough for two abreast, but too low for Suicune to carry a rider.

Akira slid off its back, stepping in on foot.

Though submerged, the cave wasn't damp.

Faint patterns lined the walls and ceiling—not the Unown he'd seen outside, but something else. Too dark to make out details.

He turned, only to see Suicune lingering at the entrance, not following.

"You're not coming?"

Suicune shook its head. Under Akira's gaze, white light streamed from its body.

At its core, tiny, shifting letter-beings emerged.

The Unown, gone from the Wishing Pool.

Akira's hunch was spot-on—Unown were behind it all.

Suicune, and the later-arriving Entei and Raikou, were their creations. It fit Pokémon lore—Unown and the Sacred Beasts were tight.

Having delivered Akira, these enigma Pokémon seemed to finish their task, reverting to form. Three black torrents surged past him, embedding into the cave walls.

Simultaneously, the lightless cave flipped on like a master switch, illuminating from the edges inward.

Or like a starry path, guiding the visitor forward.

The last Unown stood out—pink, unlike its peers. Instead of merging with the walls, it circled Akira twice, waiting until his Pokémon entered before ascending.

Right before sinking into the ceiling, it shot him a final glance.

Three eyes met (well, Unown had one), and a voice seemed to echo.

"W·e· l·e·a·v·e· t·h·e· r·e·s·t· t·o· y·o·u·,· C·h·o·s·e·n· C·h·i·l·d."

Faint, broken, barely audible—yet it pierced his core.

Male, female, old, young, saintly, alien—all mashed together, yet not off-putting.

Just a deep, nostalgic ache.

Why this feeling? Unown's trick? Or something else?

And "Chosen Child"? Did I stumble into Digimon? Comprehension glitch? System-related, maybe?

Answers lay in this cryptic cave.

As he looked ahead, a rumble sounded behind.

The pool water, lofted by Fake-Suicune's Aqua Ring, crashed down—then vanished, entrance and all.

Behind Akira, only darkness remained, like a sorcerer's Veil locking him in.

"Wu~" Reliable Darkrai stepped up, claw testing the dark.

A crackle—black sparks flashed, repelling its claw.

Darkrai tried fog next, but Akira waved it off.

The Unown had shown no hostility—they wanted him to explore, likely at a steep cost.

As Darkrai moved, Akira touched the wall patterns. Just rough carvings—no Unown vibe or texture.

Like they'd been fuel, absorbed to kickstart the cave.

"Don't sweat it. I'd have gone in anyway—that's why I'm here."

Hey, system, if this ties to you, gimme a sign!

Not his first rodeo talking to it.

But as always—silence, unless specific triggers hit. No AI spark.

"Let's go."

With a soft sigh, Akira began his underwater cave trek.

No maze like Pokémon games—no forks, loops, or puzzle traps.

One straight path. Sure, doors or splits popped up, but signs marked them—too worn to read mostly. One clear one stumped him anyway.

Good thing he'd prepped for the long haul, fine with extra laps.

Per Gojo, Special Grade missions often dumped you in sealed, high-risk zones for days. Prep was key.

Gojo hauled a monster backpack—stuffing in everything.

Water, rations, smart chargers—old-school power banks or solar panels, now a Pignite-powered gizmo he'd had custom-built to juice devices.

Akira copied the vibe.

But with Darkrai (darkness bender) and Gardevoir (space twister), he traveled light.

No puzzles here either—dead ends were real, or doors opened when he stepped up.

The cave's whole deal: ancient meets modern, flipping back and forth.

Mystical and sci-fi in sync.

Sci-fi because Akira clocked tech not on our tree.

Like hyper-real 3D holograms.

Every room had them—some as decor, some as guides. Aging gear and language barriers kept Akira clueless, though.

Until he hit a room full of projections, catching a few clips.

Entei raging, sparking a volcano, humans fleeing.

Raikou summoning thunder, worshipped as a god.

Suicune gliding over water, saving a drowning girl, blessing her to play on the surface together.

The humans' garb? Familiar—Akira had seen it pre-climb: Ainu clan attire.

No sound, no extra intel, but from fabric and builds, these weren't modern folks—centuries, maybe millennia old.

So the Sacred Beasts linked with the Ainu way back?

Were the Ainu's gods the Beasts? Or Ho-Oh?
