Jujutsu Kaisen: Imagination into Reality

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Father...

The sky was filled with gray and black clouds, making it look gloomy and giving people a depressed feeling.

Ren Takashi stood alone in the cemetery, silently contemplating the gravestone in front of him.

It was the second time he had visited his late father.

In the center of the tombstone, "Tomb of Xia Changqing" was written, and a picture of Xia Changqing was attached.

Ren Takashi looked at his father's tombstone, feeling sad, confused, lonely, lost... all kinds of emotions came over him.

In theory, he was another soul, and he shouldn't worry too much about his father's death.

He thought so himself.

In the hospital, he kept thinking about his suddenly awakened technique, and did not think about his late "father". After being discharged, he devoted himself to spreading mayhem in networks for the spirit of the imaginary curse and never thought about his "father".

Until... he held a funeral for Xia Changqing.

Every instant he had spent with his father for the past ten years became a flood of memories that welled up in that instant.

A sudden deep sadness swept over him like a tidal wave, making him cry.

"What a strange feeling... Logically, we are 'strangers'! But this body... I can't help but feel sad," Ren Takashi said quietly as he touched his father's gravestone.

He muttered, "Are you reminding me that I am that 'Ren Takashi'?".

"Father...", called Ren Takashi, Xia Changqing in the photo, and fully recognized his identity in this world.

Before she called out to him, it was difficult for her to say it, but when she said it, it came naturally to her.

"Thank you for protecting me, from now on, I'll take care of myself!"

Ren Takashi stood in front of the tombstone and talked nonstop, as if he wanted to tell Xia Changqing everything he hadn't told her in over ten years.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Ren Takashi finally stopped, said goodbye to Xia Changqing and slowly left the cemetery.

It began to drizzle and fine drops fell on him, soaking his clothes. Darkness Ball emerged from his shadow and transformed into a large black umbrella, leaning over his head, blocking the rain.

Ren Takashi, stunned, looked at the large black umbrella that appeared beside him, and two large eyes suddenly opened from the umbrella and stared at him motionless.

"Master Ren Takashi, you're going to catch a cold!" said Darkness Ball's muffled voice.

After materializing Darkness Ball, Ren Takashi let him hide under his shadow to protect him without having to summon him at critical moments.

Thunderball did not receive this treatment; after all, he was far less secretive than Darkball.

As for Darkball's ability to speak, it was because Ren Takashi had given Darkball and Thunderball wisdom comparable to that of humans during their imagination, and they could even communicate with them through language.

This also required them to consume more legendary points.

Incidentally, the legendary points required to evolve the imaginary curse spirit to the perfect form are determined by the set upper limit of curse power, magical abilities, spiritual wisdom and physicality.

Let's take Darkness Ball and Thunderball as examples: their upper limit of curse power is 20500.

The legendary points needed to condense the curse power are one hundred times their upper limit, i.e. 205w legendary points.

Magical abilities are roughly divided into three levels. The most common ones require at least 100w legendary points, the medium level ones require at least 200w legendary points and the higher level ones start from 500w.

The Ball of Darkness's fleeting light requires 210w of legendary points and the Thunderball's lightning requires 205w of legendary points.

If you want the cursed spirit to have wisdom and communication skills, you need at least 500w of legendary points.

Finally, Ball of Darkness needs 540w of legendary points to materialize into a perfect form, and Thunderball needs 468w of legendary points.

Had it not been for Xia Yujie's Night Parade of the Hundred Demons, Ren Takashi would never have imagined cursed spirits like Darkness Ball and Thunderball, because imagining them would be useless, and he simply could not gather such a large amount of legendary points.

An ordinary person can provide a maximum of 100 legendary points for an imagined cursed spirit, but most of the time, they only provide 1 or 5 legendary points for an imagined cursed spirit.

It is a gradual process for ordinary people to provide legendary points for imaginary cursed spirits: familiar (1 point/person) - half believer (5 points/person) - gradually believing (10 points/person) - very confident (20/person) - inner awe (50).

Darkness Ball and Thunder Ball imagined by Ren Takashi together require 9 million legendary points. From an optimistic point of view, at least 4.5 million people must have heard of the existence of Darkness Ball and Thunderball at the same time.

If this happened in normal times, this would be something we dare not even think about.

But now, with the favorable wind from the Shinjuku riots, the theory that Ren Takashi spread was accepted by more and more people, and Ren Takashi also fully manifested Darkness Ball and Thunderball.

Ren Takashi shook his head and said, "Thank you for your concern, Darkness Ball! But I'm still not that fragile!"

Having said that, Ren Takashi was still holding the handle of the umbrella that Darkness Ball had transformed into.

If other people saw this scene, they would probably find it extremely strange, because in the eyes of others, Ren Takashi was holding nothing in his hand, but was blocking the rain falling from the sky.

Fortunately, not many people walked down the street on rainy days. Occasionally, a few cars would pass by, and it was unclear whether Ren Takashi was wet from the rain. They would just consider him a high school student with strange behavior.

Ren Takashi held the black umbrella that Darkball had transformed into, returned to his old house, and unlocked the door with the key.

The broken walls and windows had been completely repaired, the house clean and dust-free.

Everything was still the same. But... now there was only him left.

Ren Takashi sat quietly on the couch, stunned for a while, and then came back to reality.

It had been more than ten days since the Shinjuku Hundred Devils Night Parade. Those who had survived by chance suppressed panic and began to gradually return to normal.

The destroyed buildings were also being rebuilt at an accelerated pace. Since Ren Takashi's house was not seriously damaged, it took the hired workers only two or three days to clean everything up.

The salary was deducted from his father's insurance.

After Xia Changqing's accidental death, the insurance company found him and awarded him a compensation of 35 million yen.

Together with his father's savings, Ren Takashi now has almost 50 million yen. This huge sum allows him not to worry about the money he will need for his future.

But Ren Takashi would rather not want that huge sum of money, and he would also wish for his father's return, but he knows that wish will not come true.

Ren Takashi opened the window and raindrops fell on his face in the breeze. The cold brush gave him a sense of tranquility.

"Darkness Ball." Ren Takashi called out to Darkness Ball, intending to chat about something to ease his inner loneliness.

"My lord, I am here!" Darkness Ball stepped out of the shadow behind him and stood behind Ren Takashi respectfully.

"What am I to you?" said Ren Takashi calmly.

"You are the sole creator and our supreme master!" Dark Ball's gaze became fanatical and his voice, high-pitched.

Ren Takashi had a strange look on his face. He really didn't expect Darkball to say that about himself. Hearing this almost flattering comment at first made him feel a little embarrassed. Even his previous feelings were diluted.

"Ahem... No need to say that!" Ren Takashi coughed slightly to hide the embarrassment, turned to Darkness Ball and asked, "Have you ever thought of leaving me?"

"Absolutely impossible!" Darkness Ball looked at Ren Takashi in shock, "For us, you have great kindness to us, and serving you is our only hope! Neither I nor Thunderball can entertain the idea of betraying you!"

"I'm just casually asking." Ren Takashi was a little surprised by Darkness Ball's attitude, but he felt relieved in his heart.

"Please don't say such things again!" Darkness Ball knelt down on one knee and solemnly said to Ren Takashi, "Your will is the truth we stand for! No matter what, we won't part with you!"
