Chapter 3: Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College
In a hospital corridor, a blindfolded white-haired man leaned against the wall, his posture relaxed. Beside him sat a dark-haired youth, his features taut with unease, his eyes darting anxiously as he fidgeted with his hands.
"They say both Maki and the kids will be fine," the white-haired man remarked.
"Thank goodness," the young man replied with a visible sense of relief, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly.
"You don't look very satisfied,"
"I managed to call Rika-chan out myself for the first time," the young man admitted.
"Really? That's a step forward."
But the young man remained silent, lost in his own thoughts.
"Hmmm? What's wrong?"
"Nothing... Just remembering something," the young man replied.
"I don't think Rika-chan cursed me... I think I might have cursed Rika-chan," His word were filled with guilt.
The white-haired man had yet to reply, his expression thoughtful. "This is my personal theory, but there's no curse more twisted than love,"
"Sensei," the young man spoke up, his gaze filled with determination.
"While I'm at Jujutsu High, I'll break Rika-chan's curse," he declared.
BOOM!
"!" "!"
The sudden explosion jolted both of them.
"Sensei! That was..." his voice laced with concern.
"Yeah, it's a curse," the white-haired man confirmed
Without hesitation, they both sprinted towards the source of the noise.
Outside, they witnessed a young woman was locked in a fierce battle against a powerful cursed spirit. The cursed spirit was tightening his grip on the woman, he threw her towards the building with full force.
"Gojo-sensei!"
"Yeah, I know"
'I didn't feel any cursed energy emanating from her body at all...how could she last that long against a grade 1 cursed spirit for this long and still be alive? is she like maki?'
"Huh?" Gojo was shocked, he had planned to kill the curse, assuming the woman was already dead after being thrown with all its might.
Unexpectedly, the woman emerged from the rubble and sprinted towards the curse with full speed, wielding a scalpel.
With skillful agility, she dodged the curse's attack and swiftly slashed, severing both of its legs with a single stroke.
"Hmmm, impressive," Gojo mused.
'With a little refinement, she could match Maki's prowess. To think she manage to fight a first-grade cursed spirit on her own' Gojo thought silently, his keen eyes locked on the scene unfolding below.
In a blur of motion, she effortlessly dismantled the creature, she sliced the cursed spirit's body into several pieces just like cutting a paper, each slice and dice was executed with a fluidity
It was an incredible display of physical strength, especially considering that she didn't use any cursed energy at all. even Yuta, found himself awestruck by the girl's incredible feat.
"Let's go, Okkotsu"
As the cursed spirit crumbled into dust, its presence disappeared into the air. Gojo and Yuta closed the distance to Shiki.
Following the battle, the injuries on Shiki's body was evident. They could see the lingering effects of the battle etched upon her features, displaying signs of exhaustion and strain, bruises and traces of blood decorated her body. As they approached, Shiki became aware of their presence and turned to face them, her gaze locking onto theirs.
When Gojo looked into Shiki's eyes, he felt an odd sensation creep up his spine, giving him a shiver. It was her eye—a strange mystical blue hue that seemed to glow from within, casting an otherworldly aura.
'That eye is not normal.' Gojo thought to himself, his curiosity was instantly piqued "Hmm, interesting," he muttered quietly
"Hey girl, that was impressive" Her performance in the skirmish had been nothing short of remarkable, and it left me genuinely impressed. "How did you manage to defeat a first-grade curse without using any curse energy?" I asked, my curiosity sparked as I turned to Shiki.
"Gojo-sensei! it's not the time for that!" Yuta interjected urgently, his voice tinged with concern.
".... Who are you?"
With a friendly demeanor, I introduced myself and Yuta. "I'm Gojo Satoru, and this is Okkotsu Yuta-kun," I replied, offering a reassuring smile. "We're here to lend a hand, but it seems you've already done the job and smashed that cursed! You're seriously amazing! Mind sharing your name with us"
"...Ryougi Shiki" She responded
"Then, what do you say? Wanna become a sorcerer?"
"..."
The girl just stared at me, her expression unreadable, before slowly collapsing.
Alarmed, I reached out to steady her, my earlier playful demeanor replaced with genuine concern. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked, as I knelt beside her, hoping for some sign of response. She remained unconscious, her body limp and vulnerable, evidence of the toll the earlier fight had taken on her.
"Sensei! Is she alright?" Yuta's voice beside me was filled with worry,
"It's alright, Yuta," I reassured him "It seems she's just unconscious. The fight earlier probably took a toll on her body. I mean, she didn't even use any cursed energy, you know?"
"Really!? That's amazing" Replied yuta with amazement
"Gojo!" In the distance, a young woman with a tall athletic build and dark green eyes came running toward us, her voice laced with urgency.
"What the hell happened here? And who is that girl!?" she demanded, her gaze sweeping over the scene.
Recognizing her as one of our fellow sorcerers, Mai, I turned to face her. "Maki, calm down," I said, trying to reassure her as I gestured towards the unconsious Shiki. "This is Ryougi Shiki. She just took down a cursed spirit single-handedly, and without any cursed energy to add. She's probably just like you."
Mai's eyes widened in disbelief, her expression shifting from confusion to astonishment. "Seriously?" she exclaimed; her disbelief visble.
"Seriously," I affirmed. "I should probably take her to Shouko; her injuries are pretty bad. Do you want to tag along Yuta?"
"You can go ahead, Sensei. I want to talk with Maki-san for a moment," Yuta replied
I nodded in understanding, acknowledging Yuta's decision. "Alright then, I'll see you later," I said before turning to head towards Shouko's location, leaving Yuta to his conversation with Maki.
============
The room spacious, with tall white walls covered in tons of little square patterns that went on forever. The floor looked like a checkerboard. In the middle of the room, there were two metal beds bolted to the floor. They looked really cold and clean, like they'd just been scrubbed down.
In front of me stood a tall woman with long brown hair cascading past her shoulders. She was dressed in a white lab coat, the fabric crisp against her frame, layered over a cozy blue turtleneck sweater. Her attire was completed by darker navy-blue pants that reached just above her ankles, giving her a professional appearance.
Her soft brown eyes met mine, with a hint of weariness evident in the dark lines beneath them. "What do you want?" she asked with a very laid-back and nonchalant attitude
"Hey hey, don't you miss your old-time friend?" Gojo responded, trying to lighten the mood.
A faint smile tugged at the corners of her lips, but her said otherwise. "If you are just playing, I'm kicking you out. I'm quite a busy person, you know?"
"Don't be like that, on a serious note though, can you heal her?" I asked, pointing at Shiki in the corridor where Gojo had indicated.
She sighed, flicker of annoyance crossing her features before she relented. "Bring her in, I'll see what I can do."
Gojo gently carried Shiki inside the room. Placing her on the bed in the center of the room, I stepped back, allowing the healer to work her magic.
Shoko Ieiri is invaluable asset to the Jujutsu world. In combat situations, Shoko doesn't possess traditional combat abilities like other sorcerers. Instead, she is an expert user of reverse cursed technique, an ability to harness positive energy, a capability that is exceedingly rare among sorcerers that allows her to effectively heal and rejuvenate injured comrades. The fact that Shoko can utilize positive energy on others, not just herself, speaks volumes about her exceptional talent in using reversed cursed technique.
As Shoko worked on healing Shiki, she turned to Gojo with a curious expression. "She had broken ribs and some shattered bones punctured her internal organs. It's surprising she's still alive. What on earth did she do?" she inquired.
Gojo leaned against the nearby wall, recounting the event with casual ease. "Well, she basically took down a first-grade cursed spirit single-handedly, without even using into any cursed energy." he explained.
"Without any cursed energy huh... is she similar to Maki and that guy?" Shoko asked casually.
"Probably," replied Gojo with a nonchalant shrug, he knew exactly who Shoko was talking about.
"So, what's the plan now?" Shoko asked, her attention briefly shifting from her healing to the conversation.
"Tsk, those meddlesome old geezers have called me," Gojo grumbled, irritation clear in his voice. "They've likely caught wind of the Okkotsu and Rika incident. Sigh, I really don't want to go."
With a sigh of resignation, Gojo conveyed his reluctance to deal with the upcoming meeting knowing it would likely involve lots tedious and useless discussion discussions.
"Well then, I'll leave her in your hands," he said, giving a quick glance toward Shoko before heading for the door.
And with that, Gojo stepped through the doorway, vanishing into the dimly lit corridor. His footsteps echoed softly as he journeyed toward his next destination, leaving Shoko to carry on with her work in the healing room.

In the dimly lit room, the air was heavy with tension as Gojo Satoru stood before the higher-ups of the jujutsu world, their identities concealed behind closed doors. The flickering candlelight cast eerie shadows across the chamber.
The higher-ups of Jujutsu Headquarters wield significant authority within the jujutsu world, responsible for regulating the activities of jujutsu sorcerers and ensuring adherence to established laws and regulations. Working in collaboration with influential entities such as the Big Three Sorcerer Families and the government, they play a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of jujutsu society.
With a casual demeanor, Gojo faced the higher-ups, appearing outwardly composed. Once again, he found himself summoned before them, compelled to partake in the facade of diplomacy with what Gojo often dubbed as "those old geezers" in private.
Deep down, the very idea of addressing the higher ups filled him with frustration. To him, they were relics of a bygone era, holding onto outdated customs and authority while hindering progress.
"The special-grade cursed apparition, Orimoto Rika, was fully manifested for 422 seconds," one of the higher-ups stated, their voice echoing through the room.
"We entrusted you with Okkotsu precisely to prevent this sort of thing," another voice chimed in.
"There's no room for excuses, Gojo Satoru," a third voice added.
Gojo remained composed, his expression unreadable as he listened to their accusations. "Well, I never planned on making any excuses." he responded calmly.
"How can you joke about this?! If Orimoto Rika had remained out of control, she could have wiped out an entire town!" frustration evident in his tone.
"I would have risked my life to stop her."
The room fell into a tense silence.
Letting out a weary sigh, Gojo continued, "Listen, there's only one thing we can say about that curse:
"I don't understand."
"Why did a little girl who wasn't from any line of jujutsu sorcerers become such an immense curse? We can't control something we don't understand," Gojo reiterated. "So, it'll take trial and error. Just leave it alone for a while."
After dealing with Okkotsu Yuta and the Orimoto Rika incident, the higher-ups shifted their focus to another oddball, Ryougi Shiki.
"What's the deal with that child?" another inquired, his gaze fixed on Gojo Satoru, who stood before them with a composed expression. "She killed a first-grade cursed spirit without using an ounce of cursed energy,"
They had already delved into Shiki's background. Born into an ordinary family with no lineage of jujutsu sorcerers, she became a victim of a rogue cursed Spirit Attack, resulting in the brutal murder of her parents in a gruesome manner.
Shiki's achievement of defeating a first-grade cursed spirit without employing any cursed energy raised concerns among the council. Her skill reminded them of a particular individual, sparking fears that Shiki's abilities could potentially pose a similar threat.
"It reminds me Zenin Toji...We can't afford another one with the same capabilities."
The council fell into a tense silence.
"I suggest we eliminate her before she becomes a threat."
In response to their apprehensions, some members of the council suggested that Gojo eliminate Shiki, viewing her as a potential liability to be eradicated before she could pose a danger to the Jujutsu world.
But Gojo's response came swiftly. "You can't be serious... I refuse," he retorted, frustration evident in his voice.
The council erupted into a chorus of protests, arguing vehemently against Gojo's refusal.
"Ugh... this is exactly why dealing with you old-timers is such a headache," Gojo muttered under his breath, shaking his head in exasperation as he turned to leave.
Frustrated by the council's stubbornness, Gojo exited the room, leaving behind an atmosphere charged with tension and unresolved conflicts.
As he walked away, one of the higher-ups reminded him, "Don't forget, Okkotsu's secret execution was only suspended. The same could happen to that Ryougi girl if we deem it necessary."
"And don't you forget that if it comes to that, I'll side with Ryougi and Okkotsu," Gojo declared firmly.
After leaving the meeting room, Gojo Satoru found himself walked along a peaceful mountain path, amidst the tree. As he walked, Gojo couldn't help but frustrated at the stubbornness of the "geezers" and their narrow mindedness.
"Christ, damn rude geezers. I don't ever want to become like them, I'll have to be careful too."
"Besides, no one's allowed to take youth away from young people, Isnt' that right? Ryougi Shiki-kun."
A figure emerged from the shadows beneath a nearby tree, clad in a dark blue kimono. It was Shiki, standing silently and staring at gojo.
"..."
"How are your injuries?" Gojo asked Shiki in a casual tone.
"Where are we?" Shiki asked, choosing to focus on their surroundings rather than immediately addressing his inquiry about her injuries.
"Welcome to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School or you can just call it Tokyo Jujutsu High, a dedicated school in fostering the next generation of jujutsu sorcerers." Gojo announced with high enthusiasm.
