Jujutsu Kaisen the origin

Chapter 3: Jujutsu Kaisen the origin 3

In this chapter: Kaito further explored his abilities, discovering that he could manipulate, strengthen, and restore curses, as well as store items in his special dimension. With his growing control over cursed energy, he began to remove curses in his territory without a trace, attracting the attention of the Jujutsu sorcerers. Gojo Satoru and his students were sent to investigate the disappearance of curses in Tokyo, and after analyzing the crime scene, they concluded that the person responsible had extraordinary power. While surveying the city, they noticed Kaito's presence and decided to follow him. When they finally met, Gojo attempted to confront him, but Kaito refused to answer his questions, claiming that he still had unfinished business. However, he agreed to speak with them later. With this, the clash between Kaito and the Jujutsu sorcerers seemed inevitable.

At the moment.

Gojo watched Kaito walk away calmly, maintaining his amused smile. Nobara crossed her arms in annoyance.

"That's it? Are we really going to wait?" he snorted. "I wanted to see what that guy is capable of."

Fushiguro glanced at her.

—It's not a bad decision. If he's really as strong as he seems, fighting here would be dangerous.

Itadori sighed and plopped down on a nearby bench.

—I guess we have no choice but to wait… although I'm curious, how strong will it be?

Gojo, with his hands in his pockets, looked at the building for a few seconds before speaking.

—Well, then let's relax until the afternoon. If you want, we can go get something to eat.

"Are you kidding me?" Nobara looked at him incredulously. "We're going to follow a suspicious guy and all you think about is eating?"

"Of course!" Gojo laughed . "Doing research on an empty stomach is bad for your health."

Fushiguro sighed and shook his head in resignation.

—Do what you want…

As they spoke, Kaito entered the building, closely followed by the executives, while the guards remained outside, watching the entrance closely.

Inside the building, Kaito walked steadily through the corridors, his presence imposing silence on those accompanying him. The executives followed behind him, not daring to interrupt their walk.

From beside Kaito, Ayaka watched him curiously. It wasn't the first time she had seen important people come and go, but Kaito had a different air. Not only because of his appearance, but because of the tension that had been felt in the atmosphere when he had spoken to the blindfolded man.

"Tanaka-san ," she dared to ask when he passed by her desk, "is everything okay?"

Kaito glanced at her, his expression unchanging, before calmly replying:

—Nothing to worry about. Just a minor inconvenience.

Without further explanation, he continued on his way to the elevator, leaving the young secretary even more intrigued.

Meanwhile, outside, Gojo and his students were moving away from the building, but keeping it in sight.

Time passed seemingly calmly. Gojo and his students made the most of the day, killing time without straying too far from the building where Kaito was.

Sitting on the terrace of a small café nearby, the three students tried to relax, although they found the wait tedious.

"I can't believe we're wasting our time like this," Nobara complained, stirring her coffee in annoyance. "If we knew it was going to take so long, we could have done something more interesting."

"At least we're resting," Itadori said with a smile, taking a big bite of his dessert. "The food here is amazing!"

Fushiguro, arms crossed, looked into the distance with a thoughtful expression.

—Don't let your guard down. That guy... his presence isn't normal. If he really is the one who removed all those curses, we're dealing with someone very dangerous.

Gojo, sitting calmly, smiled amusedly.

—Don't be so tense, Megumi . We're just waiting, not in the middle of a fight. Besides, I'm curious to see what kind of abilities our new white-haired friend has.

"Friend?" Nobara repeated in disbelief. "We don't even know if he's an ally or an enemy!"

Gojo just shrugged, enjoying his tea.

—That's what's exciting.

Meanwhile, inside the building, Kaito continued with his workday. He spent hours reviewing documents, attending meetings, and making sure everything was in order. He showed no sign of concern, as if the encounter with the sorcerers hadn't altered his routine at all.

When the day was over, Kaito turned off his computer, stood up and grabbed his coat. He walked calmly to the elevator, pressing the button. The doors closed and he descended into the lobby.

As she reached the ground floor, the doors opened with a mechanical sound. She stepped out of the elevator and began walking towards the building's exit. At the entrance, Ayaka was standing, as if she was waiting for someone.

When he saw Kaito approaching, he bowed slightly and spoke somewhat nervously:

—Tanaka-san, I'd like to talk to you. Can we have some coffee?

Kaito walked past him without stopping and replied in a calm voice:

—That will be for another day. Now I have things to do.

He walked through the doors of the company and down the stairs at the entrance. Ayaka, determined, followed a few steps behind him.

—It's something very important… —he insisted.

Kaito continued walking without looking at her.

—That will be for later. I don't have time right now.

Ayaka did not give up and quickened her pace to catch up with him.

—Please give me a moment. It won't take long.

Kaito reached the bottom of the stairs and paused for a moment. He glanced at Ayaka before replying firmly:

—I'm sorry, but I won't be able to this time.

Ayaka, her head slightly bowed, walked all the way down the stairs and, on impulse, reached out to grab the hem of her coat. Her voice was barely a whisper when she spoke:

—Please… just a moment of your time. There is a cafe nearby. They sell delicious food… Can you come with me?

Kaito stopped. He looked down and noticed Ayaka's hand clinging to his coat. Then, he glanced at her and replied firmly:

—I'm sorry, but I won't be able to do it this time. It will be another time.

Ayaka slowly let go of the fabric of her coat and looked away. Her steps took her in the opposite direction, walking with her head down. Kaito noticed a tear slip down her cheek before she could hide it.

He looked at her for a moment in silence and then spoke in a calmer voice:

—Rest easy, Fujimura-san. We'll see each other tomorrow.

Without waiting for a response, he turned around and continued on his way to his car, where one of his guards had already opened the door for him.

However, just before entering the vehicle, a carefree voice echoed from the side:

—If you keep acting like this, you'll never be popular with women.

Kaito turned his face and saw Gojo standing a few meters away, with his three students behind him. At that moment, the lights of the city began to turn on, marking the arrival of night.

Gojo smiled in amusement, putting his hands in his pockets.

—It's time for you to answer my questions.

Kaito watched him for a moment, his expression calm and unfazed.

—I thought they were gone, but apparently they're pretty persistent.

Gojo shrugged.

—We're just doing our job. So I hope you'll cooperate.

Kaito exhaled slowly, as if analyzing the situation.

—If you want to talk that much, that's fine. I have some questions too.

Gojo widened his smile.

—That sounds promising.

Kaito glanced around and then spoke calmly:

—We'll talk somewhere else. You can get in your cars or follow us if you have one.

Gojo nonchalantly turned to his students and snapped his fingers.

—Well, then we follow you. Lead the way.

Kaito didn't answer and simply got into his car. One of his bodyguards closed the door behind him, silently wondering what was going on. The other bodyguards also got into their vehicles, preparing to leave.

Meanwhile, Gojo walked calmly towards another car that was parked further back: Ijichi's. During the ride, a conversation started between his students.

Itadori glanced at Kaito and commented:

—He doesn't seem like a bad person.

Nobara crossed her arms, frowning.

—I wonder what he's planning... Is he setting a trap for us?

Fushiguro, with a serious expression, added:

—Don't let your guard down. He's a special-category cursed energy user. We can't be too confident.

Gojo, still smiling, opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

—Ijichi-san, it's time for you to work a little harder. You'll have to follow those cars.

Ijichi, sighing in resignation, adjusted his glasses before replying:

—Of course, Gojo-san… Will you ever give me a simple assignment?

Gojo laughed in amusement.

—And take all the excitement out of life? Never.

Ijichi started the engine, and the car pulled away behind Kaito's caravan.

Cars drove through the brightly lit streets of Tokyo. Kaito looked out the window with a thoughtful expression.

"It seems like this is going to get complicated... Those sorcerers are going to be a pain. I should eliminate them, but first I need more information about the sorcery of this era and how it works. Hmm ... I'll play along for the time being as far as I can. Then, I'll have to take action."

Meanwhile, in the car driven by Ijichi, the conversation continued.

"Ijichi-san, have you found out any information about who this person is?" Gojo asked, resting his head on his hand in a nonchalant manner.

Ijichi nodded and began reading his report.

—The suspect is named Shiro Tanaka. From a young age, he was a child prodigy, excelling at whatever he did. His parents, according to records, were good people and raised him with love, but they died in an accident when he was still in high school. After that, his butler, Masayuki Ayanokoji , took care of him. However, his family lost all of their fortune after his parents' death.

"And how did you go from losing everything to becoming a millionaire?" Itadori asked, leaning forward in curiosity.

Ijichi continued:

—With his intelligence and talent, he was able to rebuild his wealth. Over time, he created and expanded several companies, becoming an international tycoon. Today, he owns businesses in real estate, construction, and even video game development.

—Wooow ! So he's filthy rich… —Itadori commented, impressed—. I wonder what he does with all that money.

"It doesn't matter what he does with his fortune," Fushiguro interrupted seriously. "Ijichi-san, is there any clue about his cursed technique?"

Ijichi shook his head.

—Apparently, her technique has only recently awakened, so we have no previous records of her.

Gojo narrowed his eyes in interest.

—Was your hair always white?

Ijichi looked at his file again.

— Hmm … No. In the previous photos her hair was black.

—So it changed because of his cursed technique… —Fushiguro muttered—. Since when did it become white?

—There are no exact records, but it seems that only a few weeks have passed since the change.

Gojo smiled in amusement.

—This is getting more and more interesting. His body is changing… And his energy is strange. I don't know how to describe it, but it feels more like a curse than a human.

Everyone was shocked, and Itadori was the first to react.

—Could it be that a curse has taken over his body? Like what happened with me and Sukuna…

Gojo crossed his arms and nodded.

—It's a possibility.

Nobara clicked her tongue and tapped the seat impatiently.

—Bah, it doesn't matter. If it's a curse, we just have to exorcise it and that's it.

"You talk as if it were so simple…" Fushiguro said, sighing.

"Because he is!" Nobara insisted, with a confident smile. "If he is cursed, we just have to give him what he deserves!"

Gojo laughed amusedly and looked out the window.

—Maybe… but first we have to see what's really going on. I don't want to fight if it's not necessary.

Ijichi gulped and muttered nervously:

—You say that as if you're not excited about fighting...

Gojo didn't answer. He just smiled.

—Tell me, do you have any close relatives?

Ijichi sighed and continued his report:

—He has relatives, but they abandoned him. In fact, according to records, they were the ones who took away the fortune that was due to him when his parents died.

Nobara crossed her arms and clicked her tongue in disgust.

— Tch … It seems that your family wasn't exactly good people.

"I wonder if he's okay with that…" Itadori muttered. "Well, if he has a curse inside him, then he must be fighting against it, right?"

"I hope so," Fushiguro said seriously. "If he still has control, we can stop him before he becomes a problem."

Nobara shrugged and smiled confidently.

—We're worrying too much. We're with Professor Gojo, so no matter what happens, he'll be able to help him… or finish him off. Isn't that right, Gojo-sensei?

Gojo, with his characteristic carefree smile, adjusted his sunglasses and calmly replied:

—There's no need to worry so much. If things get complicated… I'll take care of him.

After a while, they arrived at the building where Kaito lived. At that moment, cars stopped at the entrance and one of the guards opened the door for Kaito to get out.

Ijichi, who had followed the cars, parked behind them. Gojo and his students also got out of their vehicle. Gojo looked at Ijichi and said seriously:

—You'd better evacuate this area as a precaution.

Ijichi looked at him with concern.

—Is it so dangerous?

Gojo nodded with a smile.

—It has a considerable amount of cursed energy. We'd better make sure there are no civilians nearby.

Ijichi nodded and started the car to take care of the evacuation.

The students looked at Gojo.

"So this is going to get dangerous…" Itadori said in a tense tone.

"We'll try to talk to him first," Gojo replied calmly.

Fushiguro stared at Kaito, who had just gotten out of the car. His expression hardened as a chill ran down his spine.

—His energy is strange… —he thought, feeling a vibration run down his spine—. It's unlike any other he's felt before… and dangerous.

Kaito looked at the sorcerers for a moment and then looked back at Ijichi's car. Noticing Kaito's gaze on him, Ijichi felt a chill run through his body. Suddenly, his muscles tensed, and a feeling of pressure paralyzed him. His breathing became heavy and he broke out in a cold sweat.

"Shit... Who the hell is this guy?" he thought in panic before reacting. Without wasting any more time, he started the car and left the place in a hurry.

Meanwhile, Gojo walked towards Kaito with a relaxed smile, followed by his students.

"So what do we do?" Gojo asked in a carefree tone.

Kaito watched them for a moment before calmly answering:

—Follow me. We'll talk in my apartment.

With that, he began walking towards the building, with the four sorcerers following closely behind him.

As they entered the lobby of the apartments, Itadori and Nobara couldn't help but look around in awe. The place was luxurious, with a modern and elegant design that reflected Kaito's high standard of living.

At that moment, an elderly man with a refined bearing approached Kaito and bowed slightly before speaking in a calm and respectful voice:

—Welcome back, Shiro-sama.

Kaito nodded slightly.

—I'll take these people with me. I need to talk to them.

The butler turned his gaze to the sorcerers, assessing them for a moment before bowing again with impeccable courtesy.

—Welcome, gentlemen. Would you like something to drink while you chat?

Itadori and Nobara, impressed by the man's refined demeanor, bowed and responded enthusiastically:

-It's a pleasure!

Fushiguro, more serious, simply tilted his head slightly and said in a neutral voice:

-I'm wondering the same.

Gojo, with his characteristic carefree smile, put a hand to the back of his neck and spoke in a relaxed tone:

—If it's not bothersome, I could use something to drink.

The other three also made their requests, to which the butler responded with a nod.

—I'll take him to the apartment when everything is ready.

With that, Kaito resumed his march, leading them towards the elevator. The mages followed him, while Itadori and Nobara bowed in gratitude again and said in unison:

-Thank you!

Fushiguro, as was his custom, only bowed his head slightly before following them without further words.

As everyone boarded the elevator, Kaito stood at the front while the mages stayed behind him. Without saying a word, he pressed the button and they began to ascend to the top floor.

When the doors opened, Kaito walked out first and spoke calmly:

—You can wait in the living room.

The sorcerers stepped out of the elevator, and as soon as they saw the apartment, their expressions changed. Itadori and Nobara opened their eyes in wonder, observing every corner with fascination.

"This is incredible!" Itadori exclaimed in wonder.

Unable to contain his curiosity, he and Nobara began to move around the apartment, inspecting every detail of the luxurious residence, packed with cutting-edge technology. Even Fushiguro, who normally remained more serious, joined in on the exploration.

"There's even a swimming pool!" Itadori shouted from one of the rooms.

Nobara, impressed, nodded enthusiastically.

Meanwhile, Gojo plopped down on the couch in complete relaxation, and Kaito did the same, sitting across from him on another armchair.

"It seems your companions are quite excited about this kind of place," Kaito commented in a neutral tone.

Gojo smiled in amusement.

—They've never seen anything so luxurious, so don't pay too much attention to them.

Kaito leaned back on the couch without answering. Gojo didn't say anything else either. The silence between them filled the atmosphere with tension.

Meanwhile, his students continued to walk around the apartment, enjoying the experience of inspecting every corner.

A few moments later, the butler appeared with the drinks and placed them on the table between Kaito and Gojo. Then, with a refined gesture, he notified the others.

—Drinks are served.

Everyone was sitting in the living room. Kaito was on one side, while the wizards occupied the other.

Kaito was the first to break the silence.

—Wizards… what do you want?

Gojo smiled with his usual carefree air.

—We want to ask you a few questions. I hope you will cooperate.

Kaito looked at him suspiciously.

— Hmm … I guess I'll answer. Right?

Gojo rested an elbow on the arm of the couch and tilted his head in amusement.

—We just want to know what you've been up to these past few days. Nothing complicated.

Kaito kept his expression serious.

—As you can see, I've been working normally.

Gojo let out an exaggerated sigh.

—We mean, have you been hunting curses around here… and why?

Kaito clicked his tongue.

—So that's why you came… If I answer, will you leave?

Gojo didn't answer immediately, he just watched him with a mysterious smile.

"Yeah, I've been hunting curses these past few days," Kaito admitted.

"And could you tell us why?" Gojo asked, still keeping his relaxed tone.

—I was just testing my skills. That's all.

Gojo nodded slightly, as if he was satisfied with the answer.

-I see…

Kaito stood up calmly and spoke firmly.

—If that's all, you'd better leave.

Gojo watched him for a moment and then smiled.

-Who are you?

Kaito glanced at him.

—I'm Shiro Tanaka.

Gojo slowly removed his blindfold, revealing his glare.

—I'm not talking about the body you possess… but about the curse within you. Who are you really?

Kaito sighed and, after a few seconds of hesitation, sat back down. He crossed his arms and looked at Gojo with an inscrutable expression.

—What exactly is it that you want to know, sorcerer?

Gojo narrowed his eyes, but his confident smile remained.

—Our duty as wizards is to defeat curses and protect others. So tell me… who are you?

Kaito looked away.

—I have no reason to tell you anything. Why should I?

Gojo rested an arm on the back of the sofa and gave him an amused look.

—You brought us here. I guess you had something planned… or maybe you're the one who wants to know something.

Kaito was silent for a moment, then sighed in resignation.

"Let's make a deal," he said finally. "If you give me information, I'll tell you whatever you want to know. What do you say?"

Gojo laughed softly and snapped his fingers.

—Sounds fun. Why not?

Kaito rested his elbows on his knees and interlaced his fingers.

—To start, I want to know the basics of sorcery in this era. How are ranks defined and how does cursed energy work nowadays?

Gojo settled back onto the couch, resting one arm on the back of the couch and adopting his typical relaxed expression.

"Well, let's start with the basics," he said, looking at Kaito. "Currently, mages are classified by rank, from grade four to grade one, with the latter being the highest. Then there are special grade mages, who are exceptions outside of the usual classification… like me."

Itadori looked at him with a frown.

—It sounds like you're bragging, Gojo-sensei.

Gojo winked at him in amusement.

—It's not my fault that he's the strongest.

Fushiguro sighed and decided to continue with the explanation.

—Curses also have similar degrees. The higher the degree, the stronger the curse. Cursed energy is what allows mages and curses to use techniques. While curses are born from the negative energy emitted by humans, mages learn to control and manipulate it.

Kaito nodded with interest.

—I see… Then what determines the strength of a sorcerer compared to a curse?

Gojo smiled.

—The amount of cursed energy, the efficiency with which it is used, and above all, each user's innate cursed technique. Some techniques can make the difference in a fight, even if the user has less energy than their opponent.

Kaito narrowed his eyes.

—Cursed innate technique…

Gojo tilted his head with an amused smile.

—That's right, although some also call them cursed rituals.

Kaito muttered to himself thoughtfully:

—I see… Things haven't changed much from this era to the past. Only the names are different. Cursed techniques, cursed energy… hmm , interesting.

Gojo watched him with interest.

—"it was from the past," you say… As if you had seen other times.

Kaito didn't answer immediately. A light smile appeared on his face before he spoke calmly:

—I guess I have to keep my end of the deal now, don't I?

Gojo narrowed his eyes, his expression now more serious.

—Yes… tell us, who are you really?

Kaito closed his eyes for a moment and, with a slow movement, took off his glasses. He carefully placed them on the table before slowly opening his eyes.

As soon as he did so, Gojo's students felt a suffocating pressure in the air, as if something invisible was crushing them. A chill ran down Fushiguro's spine, while Nobara frowned and clenched her fists. Even Itadori felt his body tense instinctively.

Gojo, for his part, watched carefully, his expression becoming more analytical.

— Hmm … those eyes weren't like that before. —He looked away at the glasses on the table and smiled slightly—. I see… a cursed object to hide your gaze, huh?

Kaito held Gojo's gaze coldly.

—In the past, I thought I had eliminated the sorcerers… but I didn't. And now, the clans I swore to destroy still exist. It was my mistake not to have wiped them all out in that era.

Silence fell over the place. The students exchanged glances, not fully understanding his words.

Gojo leaned an elbow on the back of the sofa and smiled, but his eyes remained sharp.

—You know, it's rude to make cryptic statements without explaining yourself. Don't you think it's time to tell us who you are?

Kaito stared at him before answering in a firm voice:

—My name is Kagyo Kaito. I belonged to the Kagyo clan… until it was destroyed by other sorcerers.

Gojo stopped smiling.

—What era do you come from? How old are you?

Kaito exhaled slowly and looked away.

—I don't know exactly. But if what they say is true, more than 2,000 years have passed since my time.

Fushiguro, who had remained silent, spoke seriously:

—Who brought you to this time?

Kaito leaned his back against the couch and crossed his arms.

—A long time ago, I sealed my soul inside a cursed ring. Its function was to replace the soul of whoever wore it with my own. Years passed, several people wore it… until, finally, I took control of this body.

Itadori frowned.

—So, the person whose body you took… is dead.

Kaito didn't look away.

—His soul was destroyed. That's what the spell on the ring dictated.

Itadori gritted his teeth. Fushiguro, keeping his cool, pressed harder.

—Who were the people who brought you to this era?

Kaito closed his eyes for a moment, remembering.

—The ones who placed the ring on this body… were five people. Hmm … although, now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure.

Gojo tilted his head curiously.

—Do you remember their names or what they looked like?

Kaito settled on the sofa and calmly replied:

—There were four curses… I guess they were of a special grade. And there was also a special grade sorcerer. Although, to be honest, they didn't seem very strong.

Gojo's students exchanged glances as Kaito continued:

—One had a volcano head. Another was a white creature with branches. The third looked like an octopus. And the last… an idiot with cuts all over his body.

Itadori's face tightened.

—What did you do with them? Are they your allies?

Kaito let out a light laugh.

—Allies… no, we are nothing. They just brought me back to ask me questions. But since they gave me this body, I decided to let them live.

Gojo rested an arm on the back of the sofa and smiled slightly.

—I see… so it was that way.

Inside, however, he analyzed the information more seriously. A sorcerer working with curses… and a special grade at that. Who could it be?

—Tell me, can you describe the sorcerer? Or remember his name?

Kaito put a hand to his chin, thoughtful.

—He was wearing monk's clothes, he had long black hair... About his name, he gave me two: Kenjaku and Geto.

Gojo opened his eyes in surprise.

—… Are you sure of what you say?

Kaito watched him carefully and nodded.

"Yes. That's what that sorcerer called himself." He narrowed his eyes as he noticed the change in Gojo's expression. "Seeing your face… it seems like you know him."

Gojo muttered, almost to himself:

—How is it possible that he is still alive?

Gojo's students looked at him worriedly.

"Are you okay, Gojo-sensei?" Itadori asked cautiously.

Gojo sighed and relaxed a little.

—Yes, I'm fine. Let's continue with the questions.

But in his mind, he made a decision: When this is over, I will talk to Shoko . Geto… are you still alive or…

Nobara leaned towards Fushiguro and whispered:

—Hey, what's going on? Why did Gojo-sensei become like that?

Fushiguro glanced at his master before answering in a low voice:

—That guy… was someone close to Gojo-sensei.

Nobara raised an eyebrow.

—So you really have close friends?

Gojo ignored the comment and turned his attention to Kaito.

"All the information you gave us is useful, but there is something you have not yet answered." She stared at him. "Who are you really? You said you were in a war in the past… and I can feel it in your energy: you are a curse. I just want to know if I should consider you a threat or an ally."

Kaito sighed and rested an arm on the armrest of the sofa.

—I've been wondering the same thing… I want to know what this era thinks of me. But of course, no one knows who I am.

Gojo crossed his arms and smiled wryly.

—You talk too much in circles. Why don't you just tell us who you are? It would save us a lot of trouble.

With a calm gesture, Gojo took his blindfold and placed it back over his eyes.

Kaito closed his eyes and sighed, running a hand over his face as his thoughts swirled like a storm inside his mind.

—Why should I tell you who I am?

His gaze was lost for a moment on the ceiling, before slowly descending towards his own hands.

—It doesn't make sense. I don't need anyone to understand who I am. I never have.

He clenched his fists, feeling the energy swirling inside his body.

—From the moment I opened my eyes in this time, I simply moved forward, as I always have. I destroyed what needed to be destroyed, I took what needed to be taken. I didn't stop to think about what it meant to continue existing… until now.

He looked up and saw the sorcerers in front of him.

-Because?

—Why am I still here?

—My purpose ended long ago. My vengeance was fulfilled, my hatred consumed to the last breath of those who took everything from me. But now…

—Now I'm here, talking to these sorcerers, answering questions that don't matter to me, observing humanity as if it had some meaning to me.

-Because?

—I chose this path from the moment I killed my sister. She walked away from our family, chose another destiny… And I decided that was unforgivable. There was no redemption for those who forgot what they were. I didn't kill her out of hatred, I killed her because I believed it was the right thing to do. Because back then, my worldview was absolute.

—But now…

—What does right mean to someone like me?

—Kaito Kagyo, the curse, the avenger, the sorcerer-slayer… All that was what I was. But what am I at this moment?

—Sorcerers protect, curses destroy, the weak survive… but I've done it all. I've destroyed everything I needed to destroy. I've killed everything I needed to kill. What's left for someone like me?

—Ever since I woke up in this era, I have wandered aimlessly. I convinced myself that I wanted to observe humanity. But…

—Do I really want that?

—I don't understand. I don't understand what keeps me here, what I want, what I'm looking for.

—My death must have come when the last person I hated disappeared from this world. Why am I still alive?

—Kaito…

—What will you do now?

Gojo and the others looked at Kaito curiously, waiting for his answer. However, he simply watched them for a moment before speaking:

—Tell me… why are you sorcerers? Do you do it for others or for yourselves? No… that is not the real reason. Deep down, what is it that you really want to achieve in this life?

There was a brief silence before Itadori was the first to respond.

"I don't know why you ask," he said with a slight smile, "but I see from your face that you are seeking an answer about our purpose."

Kaito looked at him with interest, allowing him to continue.

"My grandfather died…" Itadori lowered his gaze for a moment, but then looked up again with determination. "On his deathbed, he told me to save as many people as I could… That when the end came, I wouldn't be alone."

The mood became more serious as his words echoed through the room.

—In the end, I just want to protect others from those who seek to harm them. That is my wish… and I hope to fulfill it before I die.

Kaito watched him silently, evaluating his words. Then, he turned his gaze to the others, waiting for their responses.

Fushiguro crossed his arms and sighed before speaking.

—I don't have a purpose as noble as Itadori's. But I do have one thing clear: there are people who deserve to be saved and others who don't. I don't want to be a hero or someone who seeks recognition, I will only do what is necessary to protect those who I believe deserve it.

Nobara smiled confidently and leaned against the back of the sofa.

—I came to Tokyo because I wanted to live my life my way. Being a sorceress is my way of proving that I can be strong without depending on anyone. It's not just for others, it's also for me. I don't want a mediocre life or for anyone to decide my destiny.

Kaito nodded slowly, processing each of her answers. Finally, he turned his gaze to Gojo, who was smiling in amusement.

—And you? —Kaito asked.

Gojo rested his elbow on the arm of the sofa and replied in a carefree tone:

—Well, my motives are simple. I am the strongest, and that means I have the responsibility to change this world.

The students looked at him in surprise, not used to hearing him speak with such sincerity.

—The sorcerers of old cling to an outdated system, to rules imposed by those who fear change. But I… —Gojo smiled confidently—, I want to break those chains. I want a world where the strong are not the only ones with the right to decide.

Kaito watched with interest, feeling that for the first time in a long time, someone was speaking with conviction about the future.

"I see..." Kaito murmured, leaning forward and lowering his head.

The air in the room became thicker. Now it was his turn to speak.

Kaito remained silent for a moment. His eyes drifted to the city spread out before him, a sea of flickering lights lost in the darkness of the night. Without saying a word, he stood up and walked to the large window, looking down at the world from above.

For the first time in a long time, his mind found clarity.

"Now I understand…" he murmured, his reflection in the glass barely perceptible among the immensity of the city.

His mind took him back to forgotten times. He remembered the laughter of his family, the training in the clan, the voices of those who once walked beside him. He remembered the pride in the eyes of his ancestors, the determination with which they defended their lineage… and the way it all fell apart.

He remembered the blood.

He remembered the betrayal.

He remembered the emptiness that remained after having consummated his revenge.

He had believed that his purpose had ended that day, that his existence no longer had direction. But now, after hearing the answers of those sorcerers, after seeing how the world continued to turn without him, an idea began to take shape.

Slowly, he placed a hand on the glass and spoke with conviction.

—I will restore my clan.

His voice rang out firmly, without hesitation. It was not a promise to the wind, but an unbreakable oath.

He closed his eyes for a moment and exhaled.

—But this time… —he opened his eyes again, his gaze sharp as a blade—, this land will not be enough.

He clenched his fists.

—We will not live in the shadows again. We will not be forgotten again.

He looked up, as if he could see beyond the horizon, beyond the limitations imposed by time.

—This time, the world will know us.

Her energy stirred, almost as if responding to his words, and for an instant, the pressure in the room increased.

He was no longer a man without direction. He now had a new purpose.

The Kagyo bloodline would be reborn… and this time, no one could stop it.

Kaito closed his eyes, letting his thoughts envelop him in a whirlwind of memories and certainties.

"Father… you used to say that each person had their own path, that our clan existed to protect, not to start wars. That we should be the shadow that protected others, without needing to taint ourselves with ambition or conflict."

But those words…

Those words did not stand the test of time.

"In the end, that proved not to be possible. Because there will always be someone who wants to destroy what you built, just because their own worldview doesn't allow it. Because the existence of the strong will always be a threat to those who can't reach them."

Kaito exhaled slowly.

"Before, in every battle against the sorcerers, I felt something I could never ignore… Each confrontation ignited something inside me, a primal emotion, an absolute certainty that my body and soul were made for war."

He clenched his fists, his thoughts becoming increasingly clear.

"So this time, the clan will not exist to protect… It will exist to battle."

He opened his eyes, his gaze shining with unwavering determination.

"This time, your purpose will be to fight. And I will use the whole world as my war board."

The cursed energy vibrated around him, as if responding to his resolve. Kaito smiled calmly. His fate was already decided.

Gojo, noticing the change in her expression, spoke in his characteristic carefree tone:

—So you found something in what we told you. Does that mean you're really going to tell us who you really are now?

Kaito slowly turned around and walked back to the couch. He sat down calmly and crossed his arms.

—Now I understand what I must do.

The wizards looked at him intently, waiting for what he would say next.

—They asked me who I am… Now I know. I am Kagyo Kaito, the leader of the Kagyo clan.

He paused briefly before continuing.

—But I guess that's not what you really want to know. So, I'll tell you my story… and it's up to you to decide whether I'm an enemy or an ally.

A dense silence settled in the room.

—In the past, the sorcerers and clans that feared me gave me two names. Over time, I adopted them. The first was… the "Cursed God." And the second… —Kaito looked up, his golden eyes flashing brightly— "The First Curse."

Those present opened their eyes in astonishment. But they were not the only ones to react.

Inside Itadori's soul, a deep, mocking voice resounded with a dangerous tone:

"What did he just say...? The First Curse?"

Gojo narrowed his eyes and rested an elbow on the armrest of the sofa.

—That changes a lot of things… You know the origin of curses, right?

Kaito stared at him silently for a few seconds before answering:

—I'll tell you my story first.

He settled back in his seat and exhaled calmly before continuing.

—Our clan was never a battle clan… or rather, they didn't like to participate in other people's conflicts. They always preferred to stay isolated from the world, away from the politics of the sorcerers.

He paused briefly, remembering his family's teachings.

—However… when I was born, there were only six people left with the blood of the Kagyo Clan. The wars between sorcerers had reduced our numbers drastically. The casualties we suffered left us on the brink of extinction.

Fushiguro frowned, taking in the information.

—If they weren't a battle clan, why were they feared?

Kaito looked at him out of the corner of his eye and said.

—Because our cursed technique was not based on fighting… but on devouring.

Silence fell over the room.

—Despite our neutrality, the Kagyo Clan was feared by the Sorcerer's Association. And rightly so. Our cursed technique allowed us to absorb the energy around us, condensing it within us to form a sphere of pure energy. With that energy, we were able to invoke cursed rituals of a higher level, more advanced and powerful than those of any other clan.

The tension in the air increased. Gojo narrowed his eyes, analyzing every word.

—So they didn't fight… but their very existence made them a threat.

Kaito nodded calmly.

-Exactly.

The sorcerers exchanged glances. Kaito's story had only just begun… and it already felt like they were about to discover something that would change everything they knew about sorcery.

Kaito spoke coldly, his voice firm.

—And that… was the beginning of the end.

Everyone was even more surprised, but Kaito continued speaking calmly:

—If you're wondering where sorcerers come from, I guess you could say they're the natural evolution of humanity through countless generations. According to my clan's history, the first sorcerer could only see cursed energy. The second managed to sense and move it. The third figured out how to use it to strengthen his body… and so, over time, sorcery evolved into what you know today.

Gojo, leaning an elbow on the sofa and smiling in amusement, commented:

—So that's the origin of sorcery… Something that no one has managed to discover in centuries, and we just happen to be hearing it here, in this room. Boy, this is getting interesting.

Kaito just kept talking, not caring much about the comment.

—I'll continue with my story… I got a little off topic.

His voice was cold and controlled.

"The Sorcerer's Association decided to exterminate my clan. We had no way out. As a last resort, we retreated from where we lived and moved to a nearby town, one with a large population. We thought that if we took refuge among the people, the sorcerers wouldn't dare attack with all their might, and we could buy time until a solution was found. After all, our clan had always been peaceful… we always helped those in need."

He paused, the calmness in his tone contrasting with the rawness of his words.

—But we were betrayed.

The sorcerers fell silent, feeling the burden of their story.

—The villagers, those we helped, poisoned us. Then, they sealed our abilities. The next day, they made us kneel in the central square, surrounded by all the townspeople. And that was when the most powerful clans of the time made their appearance.

Kaito glanced at Gojo out of the corner of his eye.

—The Gojo Clan… and the Zenit Clan.

The words echoed loudly in the room.

—It was they who killed my father… my brother… and finally, my sister.

A chill ran through Gojo's students, but Kaito continued, unfazed.

—Not only that. They also kidnapped my other sister. The Gojo Clan took her away.

Kaito looked at the table like that and grabbed his glasses and put them on, crossing his arms before continuing.

—The only ones left were my mother and I. We were locked up like prisoners, but not in just any cell. The village leader visited us and, with a smile on his face, told us the truth… It was they who alerted the Sorcerer's Association about us. It was they who gave them the perfect excuse to attack us.

Fushiguro's fists clenched tightly.

—My mother, even when she was full of rage, only tried to protect me… but nothing she did could have changed our destiny.

Years passed in that cell. One day, the sorcerers made my mother a proposition: if she agreed to be used as a "breeding machine" to bear children with the blood of the Kagyo Clan, they would set her free along with me.

Nobara felt a lump in her throat.

Kaito spoke as calmly as ever.

—She agreed. She was raped over and over again. She gave birth to several children. But in the end, they never kept their end of the deal. They changed the terms again and again… until one day, right before my eyes, they decided they didn't need her anymore.

The silence in the room became suffocating.

—My mother got pregnant one last time… and then one day, she looked at me with a tired smile and said goodbye.

He took his life in front of me.

Itadori felt his own heart tremble.

—I was chained, unable to do anything. I could only watch as the life drained from his body… as the blood soaked the ground.

Gojo didn't say anything.

—His body was dumped like garbage.

The students' breathing was irregular.

—Years later, when I was no longer useful to them, they took me out of my cell and took me to a cliff. They threw me off like any other piece of trash.

Kaito looked at the city like this.

—But I didn't want to die.

The air became heavy.

—Before hitting the rocks, I wished to continue living… and that wish, along with all the hatred and despair I harbored inside me, cursed me.

Gojo just continued to listen to his story with a bit of understanding.

—When I woke up at the bottom of the ravine… I was no longer human.

Fushiguro felt a chill run down his spine.

—I lived in that darkness for years, fueled only by hatred, by the thirst for revenge. But something happened there. It was strange… I could feel it. The cursed energy of humans.

Kaito paused, then looked at the sorcerers.

—The seal that blocked my cursed ritual was broken before the fall… and then I discovered the forbidden. What my clan had declared impure.

Gojo's students said nothing, waiting for his next word.

—I absorbed the cursed energy in its purest state… the negativity of humanity.

Gojo frowned.

—That's… impossible.

"It was," Kaito corrected. "But I did it."

The seconds seemed eternal.

—I experimented with that energy, molded it, transformed it into something else. Into curses. But they weren't enough... they were weak, inadequate.

Kaito leaned back further in his chair, as if what he said was no longer so important.

—More years passed. Finally, I left that place… and with my cursed ritual, I asked for a more advanced ritual, one capable of giving me enough power to end it all.

Nobara gulped.

The atmosphere became stifling.

—I created an army of curses.

—With them, I destroyed the village. My revenge was swift, but not enough. Then, more villages. Then, the Sorcerers' Association.

The air seemed to be cut off.

—One by one, I annihilated the clans that once took everything from me. But even then, it wasn't enough. I spread curses everywhere, destroying everything in my path, burning cities, and erasing from the world those who had betrayed me, including the Gojo Clan.

The students couldn't believe what they were hearing.

Gojo just stayed silent.

—My sister remained there as the wife of the man who murdered our father.

Nobara felt a chill run down her spine.

—I killed her.

Fushiguro felt the blood rush to his feet.

—For abandoning our family. For betraying our blood, she moved on with her life while we were forgotten as just a stain in the history of sorcery.

The silence was sharp.

—To all her descendants, and to all the children my mother had.

Kaito just continued speaking in his usual tone.

—I eradicated my own bloodline.

The students were pale.

—I didn't want the Kagyo Clan's blood to continue to exist in this world, and thus earn my sister's hatred.

Gojo, for the first time in a long time, was speechless.

—But it wasn't enough.

The city lights flickered through the large window.

—At the end of my life… I cursed this land.

The wind seemed to stop.

—And thus the origin of curses was born.

The silence that followed was absolute.

Everyone looked at each other, not knowing what to say. The weight of Kaito's words still hung in the room like a shadow impossible to ignore.

Then a mocking laugh broke the silence.

— Hahahaha … what a sad story.

Itadori flinched as he felt the mouth appear on the side of his cheek.

"So that's where curses come from," the voice continued mockingly. "How touching."

Itadori gritted his teeth and tried to cover his mouth with his hand, but the voice simply moved, appearing above his palm with a macabre smile.

"Do you really think your story is tragic?" Sukuna scoffed. "Depends on how you tell it. You must have slaughtered so many people that you can't even remember. And yet you still expect us to feel sorry for you? Hahahaha … what a hypocrite!"

Sukuna's laughter echoed through the room.

Kaito looked away at Itadori, staring at him coldly.

—A being living inside another… You are a curse.

He leaned forward slightly and spoke calmly.

—Tell me… what is your name?

The mouth on Itadori's hand smiled even wider.

—Ryomen Sukuna.

Gojo and the others watched the exchange tensely.

Kaito narrowed his eyes.

—I see… So you answered.

Sukuna smirked, his voice echoing with a playful and challenging tone:

—So tell me… what do you plan to do now, eh, "God Damn"? Hahahaha !

Kaito, unfazed, replied coldly:

—Your mockery is meaningless. After all… your existence depends on me.

Sukuna's mouth curved into an even wider smile, his tone dripping with contempt.

—You think so, "First Curse"? Hahaha ! Someone like you... doesn't know what sorcery really is.

Kaito was silent for a moment, watching him calmly before speaking:

— I see… So that's how it is. Did you create yourself or were you born as a curse? You are strange. I suppose your origin is similar to mine… but, unlike me, you wished for it, right?

She looked at him calmly, analyzing each of his reactions.

—You speak of sorcery, but I suppose we will never know who understands its nature better… until we fight. Just like you, who remain trapped in that vessel created to contain you.

Sukuna let out a cocky laugh.

—We'll see when it comes out… who the real curse is. Hahahaha … It'll be fun.

The mouth on Itadori's hand disappeared

Gojo, without taking his eyes off Kaito, smiled with interest.

—So you can see a lot of things with those eyes… I see that they are very special.

Kaito looked at him, indifferent.

—They're not very different from yours. But what does that matter?

He looked at the sorcerers calmly before speaking:

—So… what do you wizards plan to do?

Silence fell over the room. Everyone was left thinking about that moment.
