Sweeping his gaze across the crowd, Madara spoke coldly.
Just one sentence caused the entire street to fall silent. Everyone's expression quickly turned to fear as they all looked toward him.
Ace covered his face, inwardly panicking.
Sabaody Archipelago is the final stop on the first half of the Grand Line. At the same time, it's located near the Holy Land Mariejois, home of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons (Tenryuubito). Even worse, the Marine Headquarters, Marineford, is not far from here either.
Here, openly searching for the Celestial Dragons and provoking them… bluntly speaking, is equivalent to declaring war on the entire world!
"Master, this is too--!"
At this moment, Ace didn't even know how to describe this cold and ruthless master of his.
Up ahead, Madara's gaze remained indifferent. After asking his question and receiving no response from the crowd, his brow furrowed.
"No one knows? I am Uchiha Madara. Speak, where are the Celestial Dragons?" He spoke again, his voice echoing across the street.
That heavy and cold tone spread across the crowd, sending a chill through everyone and instantly filling the area with fear.
"This guy is too reckless!"
"How could he do that? He's going to bring disaster!"
"He's blatantly looking for the Celestial Dragons, does this guy have a death wish?"
The people on the street erupted into whispers of panic and dread. Those who were near him quickly stepped back several paces, putting distance between themselves and the danger.
Madara's gaze narrowed as his frown deepened. He began to realize that the mission Qin Yi had assigned him might not be so simple after all.
"Master, we can't search for the Celestial Dragons like this," Ace said in a low voice. "They're extremely important figures, and dangerous!"
His personality was different from Luffy's. Although impulsive, Ace was not reckless; he had enough sense to know that staying here was a bad idea.
"You fear the Celestial Dragons?" Madara suddenly turned and stared directly at Ace.
His serious and icy expression made Ace shudder. Then he replied, somewhat stunned, "I'm not afraid of them!"
"Then come search with me," Madara said coldly as he turned his head back.
Something inside Ace seemed to unlock in that moment. His eyes contracted slightly, and after a moment of silence, he stepped forward.
"Master, since you're in the mood, then today, I'll join you." After a pause, Ace smiled faintly. "Let's raise some hell."
Madara's expression remained indifferent, but he gave a faint nod.
Soon, the group of four continued moving, vanishing from sight under the stunned gazes of the bystanders, heading toward the next district.
Just after they left, a squad of Marines arrived at the spot where they had just stood. The officer in the lead wore a grave and gloomy expression.
"Who was just shouting and causing a scene about the Celestial Dragons?"
Immediately, someone stepped forward to report, pointing out the direction Madara's group had taken.
"After them! We must apprehend them before they get anywhere near the Celestial Dragons!" the Marine barked.
Whether it was just talk or an actual threat, the Marines couldn't allow this kind of situation to unfold. If it escalated, the consequences would be too great for them to bear.
They moved swiftly. Within five minutes, they had already caught sight of Madara's group.
"Stop right there!" the Marine captain yelled.
Madara's sharp senses picked up the voice the instant it rang out, and he came to a halt.
Ace and the other three turned around. The Qin Lin Three Generals weren't recognized by the Marines, but Ace was. The captain's face changed the moment he saw him.
"Fire Fist Ace!"
In an instant, the Marine captain's expression darkened. The Marines behind him immediately drew their weapons and pointed them at the group.
"Call for backup, don't act recklessly!"
Fire Fist Ace was among the newest generation of Supernovas. His strength was formidable, and on top of that, he possessed a Logia-type Devil Fruit, the Mera Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame Fruit). The captain knew full well, he was no match for this enemy.
Even so, the Marine Captain forced himself to stay calm, gritting his teeth and shouting loudly:
"Are you the ones looking for the Celestial Dragons?"
At the mention of the words "Celestial Dragons," Madara slowly turned his head, his cold eyes locking onto the man.
"You know where they are?"
"What do you want with the Celestial Dragons?" The Marine Captain couldn't help but tremble as the man at the front stared at him. The aura coming from this person… was simply terrifying.
"Tell me."
Madara took a step forward. At the sound of the wind, the Marine Captain realized Madara was suddenly right in front of him, and his entire body shuddered uncontrollably.
"So fast!"
"Dear God… You can't afford to offend the Celestial Dragons! Don't do anything reckless!" The Marine Captain's voice trembled as he spoke.
But Madara was already running out of patience. His pupils spun, instantly turning blood red as he locked eyes with the man.
The Marine Captain's whole body jolted, and in the next moment, his eyes went glassy and unfocused.
As the three tomoe in Madara's eyes rotated in circles, a faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. Without another word, he turned and walked away.
Ace and the other three were momentarily stunned, but quickly followed.
"Master, where are we going?"
"Where the Celestial Dragons are." Madara replied indifferently.
Using Genjutsu (Illusion Technique), it had taken him only a split second to extract the information he wanted from the Marine Captain's mind.
Behind him, Ace and the Three Generals of Qin Lin were surprised. None of them had expected Madara to get such precise intel so quickly.
Sabaody Archipelago, Area 24.
This area hosted the largest auction house on the entire island. At the moment, the grand hall's doors were tightly shut. Deep inside, on the main stage, a grand auction was underway.
In front of the stage sat rows upon rows of participants. In the front row, a few Celestial Dragons (Tenryuubito) sat, wearing their trademark transparent bubbles, expressions arrogant and indifferent.
Of course, there were only three or four Celestial Dragons present, but even that number was enough to suppress the atmosphere entirely. The venue was silent, no one dared act out.
As world nobles, the Celestial Dragons had the authority to summon Admirals. They held immense power, towering above everyone else, looking down on all below.
In their eyes, anyone who dared defy them was already a dead man.
"Next, we will unveil the most anticipated treasure of today's auction!"
On stage, the host wore a black suit. Sweat glistened on his forehead as he forced a smile, hiding his tension while shouting loudly.
With the Celestial Dragons sitting mere meters away, how could he possibly feel relaxed?
The moment his voice fell, the stage curtain was drawn back, and a female fishman, trapped in a glass tank, was pushed out.
As she appeared, the crowd instantly erupted in gasps of awe.
"A fishman, it's a mermaid!"
"So beautiful, my god! I didn't know such stunning women existed in the world!"
"Is this the grand finale of the auction? Worth every second!"
At this point, the only ones who remained calm were the Celestial Dragons in the front row.
"A bunch of bumpkins. It's just a lowly fishman."
"Hmph, mortals. No point in stooping to their level."
"Still… this fishman is far more beautiful than anything in my collection. I'm interested."
The Celestial Dragons began talking amongst themselves. When glancing at the other guests, their eyes were full of disdain. But when their eyes turned back to the mermaid on stage, there was a flash of desire and curiosity.
"Are you going to bid?"
"No. Let the others fight over it for now."
"When it ends… they'll all understand."
With a cruel grin at the corners of his lips, one Celestial Dragon sneered:
"When we Tenryuubito want something, no one dares take it!"
