Konata Doesn't Want To Be The Female Lead

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Unique New Transformation

"Next up is Konata-san."

After finishing his commentary on Bakugou Katsuki, All Might turned his gaze toward Konata, asking her in a probing tone:

"That was the true form of your quirk's fantasy¿?"

"There are plenty of weird quirks out there, right? I doubt I'm the only one with a transformation-type quirk."

Choosing her words carefully, Konata replied calmly.

"To be precise, that wasn't my true form—it's just one of my transformations."

There was no reason to hide that kind of detail. People would find out sooner or later, so she might as well say it confidently.

"One of them..."

All Might mulled it over for a moment before continuing.

"There must be some limitations. I heard from Aizawa that once you fully master your electricity, your combat ability would rival that of a pro hero. That form... you could fully control electricity in that form, right?"

"Correct."

Konata nodded, her expression serious.

"She stands at the top of Academy City's seven strongest espers, the ojou-sama of Tokiwadai Middle School, a Level 5 esper. Her name—Misaka Mikoto, the Railgun. I usually just call her 'Onee-sama'."

"..."

Listening to her deadpan introduction of the form's identity and backstory, everyone fell into collective silence.

After all, in this world, there was no such thing as Academy City or esper rankings. Every single person assumed this was just another case of delusional chuunibyou.

Transformation quirks weren't rare—but assigning names, backstories, and even personality traits to your forms? Only she would go that far.

With this realization, Konata confirmed something once again:

No one ever believes her when she's telling the truth.

The rest wasn't worth elaborating much. She personally believed that without her stepping in, Izuku Midoriya would've ended up in the nurse's office again. She'd asked Tokoyami about it, and he'd confirmed that Midoriya had laid out a full strategy for their mock battle.

Apparently, Midoriya had planned to stall Bakugou long enough for Tokoyami to engage her, during which he would bust through the building from the second floor and let Dark Shadow seize the bomb during the chaos. If she hadn't stepped in to "declare" Tokoyami out of the match with overwhelming force, the outcome could've gone either way.

Looking at Midoriya now—his eyes focused seriously on the ongoing battles—Konata couldn't help but sigh inwardly. If she hadn't been a "cheater," she might've actually lost.

Still, she did prevent his arm from getting wrecked again. He should thank her for that, right?

Maybe she could use that as leverage to mooch a meal off him later…

To be fair, this mock battle was surprisingly effective. Everyone was still new and unfamiliar with each other, but after the joint training, a lot of those barriers had disappeared.

Konata even made a few new friends. Like Yaoyorozu Momo, whose costume made even her blush a bit… Kaminari Denki—Pikachu blonde guy with electricity. And Hagakure Tooru, who was bubbly, energetic, and had a hero costume that practically screamed "safety hazard."

She also got to see tons of cool quirks.

The one that stood out the most though? No doubt it was Todoroki Shoto—the guy with half-red, half-white hair and a burn scar on his left eye.

His quirk? Half-Cold, Half-Hot. Left side froze, right side burned. He literally froze an entire building by himself and won effortlessly.

A walking cheat code.

That was Konata's honest first impression as she nearly got frostbite from the guy's stray cold air—all the way from the other side of campus.

Seriously, that was unfair.

He even had that whole icy "don't-talk-to-me" demeanor. Konata had merely glanced at him a few times out of curiosity, and his cold stare immediately shut down any desire she had to initiate conversation.

She had wanted to ask if he could use attacks like "Higanbana" or "Absolute Zero," and maybe offer him some creative ideas—but, well, never mind.

After about three hours, the mock combat finally concluded.

All Might dismissed the class with a hasty announcement, then practically vanished in a flash. Watching him dash away, Konata had a vague idea why.

"…Guess I should hurry up and unlock Miku. Onee-sama's a long-range AP mage. Silly-Nana is a melee flame warrior. Hatsune Miku… probably a healer, right? I wonder if she can fix All Might… I kinda like him."

She was clearly in a world of All Might stans.

Apparently, she was one now too.

Half-idly chatting with her new friends, she returned to class.

Once there, she reluctantly changed out of what was definitely the cutest outfit she'd worn since arriving in this world—her combat suit—and collapsed onto her desk.

Time to study her newly unlocked transformation.

And this one? It was… special.

Like, really special.

The most unique out of all her forms so far—so unique that no other transformation even came close.

Gazing at the new icon that had appeared on her screen, just beside Hatsune Miku's, Konata's face twisted with uncertainty.

"This one just screams trouble…"

Unlocking it wasn't even hard. If she focused on this path alone, she could probably get it in about a week.

But…

"I really don't think this is the right world to be using this form in… Maybe I should go for Miku first?"

She sat there, caught in the ultimate indecisiveness spiral—
