Legend of Hogwarts (Harry Potter x League of Legends)

Chapter 11: The Journey Aboard the Hogwarts Express

To Allen's surprise, chatting with the Weasley twins turned out to be far more entertaining than he had anticipated. Even though much of what they said could be found in the series of books he'd read, he still found himself hanging on to every word. It was at that moment that Allen truly realized he wasn't living in some prewritten story anymore. He was stepping into a brand-new world, one he had only glimpsed before through a narrow window, the world of wizards.

Fortunately, the twins, under the influence of their father, also had a strong curiosity about Muggle culture, which made the conversation flow effortlessly.

Although, perhaps, things veered a little off-course when, without even realizing it, their discussion took a wild turn toward Muggle April Fool's traditions. In return, the twins excitedly shared tales of wizard pranks: acne-covered faces, vomiting slugs, biting books…

Just as Allen was introducing them to a legendary prank item from the mysterious East called "The Immortal's Robe Remover", a rumbling sound came from outside the compartment. Moments later, a soft knock was followed by the door sliding open to reveal a smiling witch with dimples and a warm expression.

"Anything from the trolley, dears?" she asked cheerily.

Though Allen's system was a stingy thing that only cared for money, that didn't mean he was broke. Compared to the outrageous costs his system demanded, a few treats were nothing. He happily grabbed a pile of his favorite sweets and paid one Galleon and three Sickles. The only disappointment was when he asked the witch if she had sunflower seeds, soft drinks, or bottled water, she just stared at him in utter confusion.

Wizarding sweets, Allen quickly realized, were nothing short of wildly imaginative. His haul included: Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, Chocolate Frogs, Pumpkin Pasties, Cauldron Cakes, Licorice Wands, and three bottles of Pumpkin Juice. Out of all of them, Allen had been longing to try Chocolate Frogs the most, they were legendary in the Harry Potter books! As a dedicated foodie, there was no way he'd miss out.

With a satisfying pop pop pop, he cracked open the Pumpkin Juice bottles and handed them to George and Fred.

"Come on, dig in! I'm starving over here!"

But the twins hesitated, cheeks slightly flushed. They didn't move to grab anything. Allen immediately understood, they were just like their younger brother. Probably didn't have much pocket money. And the kind of pride unique to kids their age made them reluctant to accept what they saw as charity.

Just as they quietly took out a couple of sandwiches, Allen snatched one, took a huge bite, and exaggeratedly exclaimed, "What?! You've been hiding food this good? George, that's so sneaky of you!"

"Wait, no, that's… my mum made those…" Fred tried to explain, looking a little flustered.

"Are you kidding me? I'm so jealous. Your mum's cooking is amazing!" Allen cut him off before he could finish, fully immersed in the sandwich already.

"Thank Merlin! I was just thinking snacks alone wouldn't do my stomach justice. Good thing you two had these sandwiches, or I'd be surviving on sweets today," Allen mumbled through his mouthful.

Kids operate on an unspoken rule of equal exchange. Once Allen had eaten part of their food, the twins no longer hesitated to help themselves to the snacks he brought.

And just like that, a feast of sugary chaos broke out in their small compartment. One moment worth noting: when they unwrapped a Chocolate Frog card and found a wizard Allen couldn't even pronounce, the twins nearly lost their minds. They stopped eating entirely and looked about ready to burst out the door just to brag to the other students.

Allen remained unmoved. Hmph, amateurs. Back in the day, I collected all 108 Outlaws of the Marsh, he thought smugly. You two are still too young. This is just a marketing ploy by the candy makers. Obvious. Although… that card was pretty well-made. Maybe he should consider collecting them?

In the end, Allen gave up that thought, mainly because the twins finally snapped out of brag mode… only to dive into curiosity mode.

The prank item from the East had totally captivated them. Despite Allen's best efforts to explain, they ended up interpreting "Immortal" as some kind of supreme wizard.

Allen gave up trying to correct them, his vocabulary just wasn't up to the task. But it wasn't hard to see why they were fascinated: an artifact that could affect even the most powerful of wizards? That sounded incredibly intriguing.

Unfortunately, the truth turned out to be a bit of a letdown.

Allen explained that the "Immortal's Robe Remover" was actually made from the tiny fuzzy hairs found on peaches. Once plucked off the fruit, the hairs were dried on paper and turned into a powder-like substance. When sprinkled on someone, the resulting itch was so unbearable that a person might scratch themselves raw.

Devastatingly effective, but the twins weren't impressed.

"That's way too easy to get rid of," George grumbled. "One Scouring Charm and it's gone."

"Exactly! And the delivery method is so outdated. You'd have to sneak it on somehow, way too much work," Fred added.

"But it does sound effective, doesn't it?"

"I've got an idea. What if we made it so the peach fuzz couldn't be removed by a simple cleaning charm?"

"Yes! It's basically like a mild hex, so anti-hex healing spells shouldn't work on it either."

"Brilliant. That makes it the perfect base material."

"As for the delivery system, we can figure that out later. This might be our greatest invention yet."

Allen was already sweating cold bullets. Oh no… I may have just triggered something terrible.

He silently offered a prayer for Percy. The twins' wild enthusiasm was clearly targeting the brother who tried to scare them earlier. If nothing went wrong, Percy would likely be their first unfortunate test subject.

May Merlin have mercy on you, Percy.

"Hey Allen, do you know what a car is? My family has one! We should go for a ride someday!" one of the twins suddenly said, bringing the conversation back around.

Wait, that car? The magical flying one with a major role later on? Allen perked up instantly, already diving headfirst into yet another lively discussion with the mischievous pair.
