Legendary FBI Detective

Chapter 563: Analyzing Clues, The Tracker

At one o'clock in the afternoon, Las Vegas, FBI branch, a temporarily borrowed office.

"Thank you all for your hard work."

Winslow, Michelle, and Reesi walked into the office one after the other. Chenier smiled as she served each of them a cup of coffee, and Luo An casually asked:

"How's the body?"

"It has been sent to the Trace Examination Department."

Reesi picked up the coffee and drank it in one gulp, wiped her mouth, and replied:

"The autopsy report and the ballistics test of the bullets found in the body will take some time to come out."

"Also, this is something a woman intercepted us on the road to give us."

After saying that, Winslow put down the large cardboard box he was carrying and said, slightly out of breath:

"That woman said she was the secretary of Rekasha O'Dell.

Inside here is the address of the first crime scene, photos, and information about the route taken by Councilman Shemor and President Lucille when they left the dinner hotel on the night of the incident."

Michelle followed up by raising the laptop in her arms, then took out a hard drive from the cardboard box in front of Winslow, and said:

"This is surveillance video from inside and outside that hotel on the night of the incident. I've retrieved them all."

"Good."

Luo An nodded his head and pointed to a pile of documents on his desk in front of him, saying:

"These are Councilman Shemor and President Lucille's work experiences, schedules, surveillance near the government buildings, surveillance near the company, and movements of their security personnel in the two months before their deaths.

Now, it's time to unravel the mess."

After a brief response, the agents returned to their seats to start eating some food that Luo An had ordered over the phone.

During the meal, Chenier briefly described the conversation between Rekasha O'Dell and Rister Krista that had taken place earlier.

After listening to Chenier's account, Reesi swallowed the chicken roll in her mouth and complained:

"So, for her own desires, Rekasha O'Dell hid the bodies that were found early on, causing the Nevada law enforcement to be unable to find them and leading us into the case.

Isn't her action an obstruction of justice?

Also, knowing full well that her brother and sister's bodies were hidden, Rister Krista still pretends to be unaware? He really is a good brother."

Michelle wiped her mouth and nodded seriously:

"From a legal point of view, Rekasha O'Dell's behavior is definitely an obstruction of justice!"

"But what she's obstructing is Nevada's law enforcement."

Winslow quickly finished off a Big Mac, spread his hands, and laughed:

"Didn't Chenier say that as soon as Rekasha O'Dell heard that Group Leader Luo An was leading us in this case's investigation, she immediately sent out the bodies?"

"Let Nevada's law enforcement worry about obstruction of justice."

Luo An finished the food on the table, washed his hands, and returned to his seat, saying:

"Shemor Krista, a State Legislator, and Lucille Krista, the president of a corporate group.

Two high profile individuals, along with their bodyguards, were murdered together. The mastermind behind this case is certainly not ordinary.

Though the bodies have been found, we still need to uncover the truth of this case and catch the mastermind behind it!"

"Understood!" x4

After the food, the agents briefly assigned each other information and began to search for and analyze clues carefully.

"The scene where the four disappeared is at a corner intersection one kilometer west of the dinner hotel."

Chenier put the vehicle progression video and other information on the whiteboard, saying:

"There were two cars, Councilman Shemor and his male bodyguard in one car, and President Lucille and her female bodyguard in another car.

There are no cameras at this corner intersection, and it's sparsely populated, so no one knows what happened when the four were abducted."

"To abduct four adults, the perpetrators can't be few in number, and they must also have left the scene by car."

Luo An rested his chin on his hand and pondered for a few seconds before sharing his thoughts, then asked:

"Michelle, among the nearby roads around this corner, did the surveillance catch any suspicious vehicles?"

"Not yet."

Michelle shook her head, explaining:

"The vehicles are all common sight cars, taxis, etc.

No vans, eight-seater MPVs, or anything like that were seen."

Winslow thought for a moment, then asked:

"What about school buses?"

"What?"

Michelle was taken aback for a moment, then after showing the surveillance video to everyone, shook her head again saying:

"No school buses, no trucks, not even garbage trucks."

"Hold on."

Just as Michelle finished speaking, Luo An, who had been watching the surveillance video, suddenly spoke up:

"Michelle, rewind the footage a bit."

"What happened?"

"What have you found?"

Hearing Luo An's words, Winslow, Reesi, and Chenier immediately gathered around and discovered on the computer a segment of surveillance footage from the entrance of the banquet hotel.

Michelle, following Luo An's instructions, rewinds the surveillance footage for a moment.

Suddenly, the group noticed that right before the banquet officially started, as Councilman Shemor and President Lucille's vehicle arrived at the hotel entrance, a suspicious black sedan followed along on the highway in the upper left corner of the surveillance footage.

"This car appears in another segment of surveillance as well."

Luo An narrowed his eyes slightly, picked up his computer from his seat, typed a few keystrokes, and called up a video clip, introducing:

"This is from a week ago, outside the parking lot of the Christa Family Group company."

Winslow's group quickly turned their eyes to Luo An's computer screen, and indeed, they spotted the same black sedan in the corner of the surveillance.

Reesi's eyes lit up with excitement, slapping her palm and saying:

"Someone is tracking Lucille Krista!"

Winslow immediately asked:

"Michelle, can you find out who is driving that car?"

"One moment."

Michelle quickly turned and began typing on the keyboard. After some time with no results, Chenier joined in the search.

Moments later, the two women's eyes brightened, and they spoke in unison:

"Found it!"

Luo An hurriedly asked:

"Name? Identity?"

"Priceley Henry, 44 years old, a former Las Vegas police officer."

Michelle introduced:

"Two years ago, he was dismissed from the Las Vegas Police Department for gambling, alcohol abuse, and maliciously assaulting colleagues.

Since then, he has had no record of employment and has never filed taxes.

Furthermore, several of his ex-girlfriends have filed restraining orders against him to prevent him from contacting them or coming too close."

Luo An chuckled and asked:

"Can you find out where he is living now?"

"Of course."

Michelle scrolled down the computer page and replied:

"In a community in Southern Las Vegas!"

"Good."

Luo An nodded in satisfaction, stood up from the chair and said:

"Winslow, Reesi, go get the gear, we'll go have a chat with this guy who likes to fight with colleagues."

"Understood!" x2

————

Half an hour later, in Southern Las Vegas.

A small but exquisite villa, a black SUV slowly parked on the roadside.

While checking and arranging their gear, Reesi, looking at the little villa diagonally across the way, raised an eyebrow:

"Wow, this doesn't look like the place for someone who has no money to pay taxes."

Clack—

"This is Las Vegas, where gambling brings countless possibilities."

Luo An pocketed his Glock 18 with a smile, saying:

"Maybe the money was won at the casino."

Winslow chuckled without a word, and after the equipment was ready, the three of them stepped out of the vehicle.

Knock knock knock—

Luo An and Reesi took their positions on either side of the front door, holding weapons, while Winslow raised his hand and knocked on the villa's door:

"Hello, is anyone home?"

As the words fell, the air was silent; there was no answer.

Winslow turned his head and put his ear against the door to listen, then his brow furrowed slightly:

"There's no sound inside, seems like no one's home."

"No, there's someone inside."

Luo An whispered, shaking his head, his "emotional perception" clearly detecting the presence of someone on the first floor of the villa, feeling very tense.

Waving his hand to signal Winslow to step back, Luo An lifted his foot and kicked forcefully at the villa's main door.

Bang—

With a loud noise, the villa's door fell open, and Luo An, brandishing his pistol, rushed inside:

"FBI! Open the door!"

Winslow and Reesi quickly followed behind, but suddenly, their pupils shrank, and they exclaimed in alarm:

"Luo An! Be careful!"
