Chapter 597: The Special Service Bureau Suddenly Appears, Seizing the Scene and the Suspect
"Are you guys in charge of what happens next?!"
Upon hearing this, Mona immediately sensed that something was amiss and quickly approached.
Luo An's expression remained unchanged, he ignored the hand extended towards him from the other side and chuckled as he asked:
"Both of you, please identify yourselves."
The man in the suit to the left, seeing that Luo An had no intention of shaking hands, wasn't embarrassed and acted as if nothing had happened, naturally retracting his hand and smiling:
"We are from the USSS (Special Service Bureau)."
Mona's expression changed slightly, the man in the suit finished speaking and then put his hand in his pocket, preparing to take out his credentials.
In the next second, Luo An's gaze shifted slightly and he suddenly lunged forward. Before the man in the suit on the left could react, Luo An punched him in the stomach.
Bang—
Following that, Luo An delivered a hook punch, and the man in the suit on the left rolled his eyes and fainted on the ground.
"You..."
Seeing this, the man in the suit on the right's face changed dramatically, he immediately pulled out a handgun from his pocket. Luo An swiftly moved in front of him, grabbed the muzzle and lifted it upwards, dodging the other man's leg whip, and threw another punch.
Bang—
The fierce punch caused the pupils of the man on the right to contract, but Luo An was too fast for him to avoid, and ultimately, like his partner, he too rolled his eyes and fainted on the ground.
It took Luo An less than eight seconds to take down both men. It was only when they fell to the ground that the people around them realized what had happened. Just as they were about to come over, Luo An quickly grabbed Mona, and they together with the unconscious truck driver and Francisco, threw them into the ambulance.
After driving the driver and nurse out of the ambulance, Luo An immediately drove away from the area.
In the back of the ambulance, Mona looked at Luo An, who was driving, with furrowed eyebrows:
"Luo An, you just attacked people from the Special Service Bureau, could it be..."
"Who can prove they were from the Special Service Bureau?"
Luo An waved his hand to interrupt Mona, indicating that the two men had just claimed to be from the Special Service Bureau without showing any credentials to prove their identity.
Mona looked puzzled and asked:
"Didn't that person on the left put his hand in his pocket?"
Luo An nodded and immediately added:
"This is federal territory, I am an FBI agent.
The other party suddenly put his hand in his pocket while speaking; I suspected he was about to draw a gun to attack.
The person on the right immediately drew a gun, which proved my suspicion was correct."
Luo An's reasoning was simple; you say you are from the Special Service Bureau, how do you prove it? After all, empty claims hold no weight.
As for knocking the two men down just now, Luo An was mainly worried that they might draw a gun and attack him unawares.
Of course, Luo An's thought process wasn't hard to discern, preemptively taking them down before they could produce any concrete credentials to prove their identity, preventing Francisco from being taken away by them.
Though it was discerned, Luo An's reasoning was sound, and the opposite party couldn't prove his real intentions.
As long as Francisco was in hand, Luo An could maintain the upper hand. With Mr. Clement behind him, things would definitely not escalate too much; at worst, they could just apologize later.
Mona understood the implication in Luo An's words, and so did Francisco beside her, who raised an eyebrow and asked:
"Group Leader Luo An, where are we heading?"
"Definitely not to the hospital."
Luo An grinned, glanced at Francisco through the rearview mirror, and said:
"Mr. Francisco, you are indeed quite a prominent figure, with so many wanting to take you away."
Because the SUV had just been flipped, Francisco's forehead was bruised, his face and the back of his head were covered in blood, his right arm was fractured, and there were many bruises and abrasions on his arms, legs, front, and back. He looked extremely disheveled.
Hearing Luo An's words, Francisco showed an ugly smile, then he quickly addressed an issue:
"Not going to the hospital? Where are we going then? I need treatment for my injuries!"
"Too many people want you dead, going to the hospital isn't to treat wounds, that's seeking death."
Luo An gripped the steering wheel of the ambulance, letting Mona take the driver's seat to continue driving forward as they switched positions. Luo An whispered something in Mona's ear, she nodded and commenced driving the ambulance forward.
Moving to the rear compartment, Luo An searched under the seat and pulled out an emergency medical kit, took out a bottle of iodine and some bandages, and looked up at Francisco with a bright, sunny smile:
"Your injuries aren't severe, you won't die in the short term.
Bear with it and don't scream."
"..."
Francisco's pupils dilated, and before he could refuse, Luo An stuffed a piece of unidentifiable rag into his mouth and then poured the iodine on his wounds.
"!!!!!!"
Several minutes later, Francisco's wounds were wrapped with several layers of bandages, and Luo An made a makeshift splint for his fractured right arm using dismantled seat parts.
"OK."
After tying the splint with bandages behind Francisco's neck, Luo An sat back and said with a smile:
"Don't forget to pay my medical bill later."
Francisco's thighs, forearms, and muscles all over his body twitched involuntarily from time to time, his eyes were expressionless, and he had no intention of responding.
Just then, Mona's cellphone suddenly rang, and she pulled it out and handed it to Luo An:
"It's Reesi."
Luo An took the phone and pressed the answer button, and immediately, Reesi's voice, filled with anger, burst through:
"Group Leader, Chenier and I have led the SWAT team to successfully destroy the 'organization's' manor.
Now, several agents from the USSS (Special Service Bureau) have appeared, saying that they will take over the responsibility for what follows."
Luo An remained composed and said calmly:
"I know, leave the scene to them, and you and Chenier immediately lead the team back."
"What?"
Reesi was quite surprised, just about to inquire when she suddenly realized something, and said sternly:
"I understand."
The call ended, Luo An didn't immediately give the phone back to Mona, but instead found the messaging page and sent a quick text.
Meanwhile, in a certain manor, Reesi looked angry after hanging up the phone.
Suddenly, her phone vibrated, she looked down at the message, a glint flashed in her eyes, and without any outward reaction, she deleted the message and walked over to Chenier who was not far away.
In front of Chenier stood seven white men in suits, and Reesi approached as she was confronting this group.
Seeing Reesi return, Chenier immediately asked:
"What did they say?"
"Leave the scene to them."
Reesi snorted coldly, threw a glaring look at the few white men, and said as she pulled Chenier away:
"You've won."
The tone was full of dissatisfaction.
Chenier was about to speak, but Reesi suddenly pinched her hand, Chenier quickly understood, spat on the ground towards the white men, and snorted coldly before turning to leave.
The two women, along leading the SWAT team, left, and the expressions on the suited men turned slightly smug.
But the leader, a man with a buzz cut and a prominent hawk nose, showed no change in expression; he gestured to his men to handle the scene and stepped aside, pulling out his phone to make a call.
The first call rang for a moment without answer, the hawk-nosed man's brow furrowed slightly as he made a second call.
After another brief ring, the call was answered, and the hawk-nosed man immediately asked:
"What about the target?"
"…Sorry, Captain."
On the other end of the phone, was one of the two suited men previously knocked down by Luo An Greenwood, who was rubbing his sore cheek and spoke in a low voice:
"He was taken away by Luo An Greenwood."
The hawk-nosed man's face darkened, but he didn't scold him, instead he asked:
"What happened?"
The suited man briefly described the situation, and the hawk-nosed man's face grew more ominous:
"You and Bob are the best fighters in our team, and you couldn't overcome Luo An Greenwood?"
"That guy was too fast and strong, far beyond our expectations."
The suited man's face looked grim; he and Bob had encountered many agile enemies and arrested many notorious criminals over the years.
Both were confident in their skills, which is why the hawk-nosed man had assigned them for this operation aligning Luo An.
But they had never anticipated that they wouldn't even have time to react before being downed by Luo An...
As the suited man and Bob recovered, they felt furious, partly because of Luo An knocking them down and partly because of Luo An's affiliation:
Why would a skilled individual like you stay in the FBI?
Special Service Bureau, CIA, which wouldn't utilize your abilities better and contribute more to the federacy?!
After the suited man finished recounting, the hawk-nosed man appeared stoic, refrained from criticizing comments, and immediately instructed his subordinates to track down the ambulance.
Before long, his men located the ambulance, and the hawk-nosed man personally led a team to the scene.
However, when they arrived, they discovered that the ambulance was empty.
