Harley and Raven arrived, their faces glowing with excitement. Harley bounced around like an overjoyed child, her blonde pigtails swinging wildly.

"Nux! Puddin'! MY LOVE AND HEART!" she squealed, throwing her arms up. "Look what we brought!"

Behind her, Raven casually waved her hand, summoning a swirling portal of dark energy. From it, three battered and bruised scientists tumbled onto the floor, their lab coats torn and stained with blood. They coughed and groaned, their wrists and ankles bound by Raven's magic, their eyes filled with terror.

Raven stepped forward, her violet eyes glowing faintly. "Lord Nux," she said smoothly, "these fine gentlemen are scientists from Ivo's lab. They work closely with him and have access to the deepest levels of Cadmus Labs." She smirked darkly, glancing at their trembling forms. "We can interrogate them for more info. And if they don't answer…" She turned to them, her smirk widening into something downright wicked.

"…I'll have fun breaking them."

Nuxsus grinned. Without hesitation, he pulled Raven into a deep, dominating kiss. The sorceress' eyes widened in shock before slowly closing as she melted into it. When he finally pulled away, Raven was left breathless, her face slightly red.

Before she could recover, Nuxsus flickered to Harley, grabbing her by the waist and planting another deep kiss on her lips. Harley squealed in delight, her arms wrapping around his neck.

"Ahhh~!" Harley moaned, licking her lips. "Thank ya, Nux! I needed that!"

She suddenly perked up. "Oh! By the way—somethin' weird happened earlier! I feel stronger! Like I just got a major power boost!"

Raven, still catching her breath, nodded. "Me too… I felt an increase in magical knowledge. Was that you, Lord Nuxsus?"

Nuxsus smirked, crossing his arms. "Quite the observant one, aren't you, Raven?" He nodded. "Yes, that was me. I used some of my new powers and gifted you abilities to make you stronger."

His smirk darkened.

"You were both kinda useless last time."

Harley blinked, while Raven narrowed her eyes, but neither objected. They knew Nuxsus had a point.

Satisfied, Nuxsus finally turned his attention to the scientists.

"Now then…" he said, stepping closer, his crimson gaze locking onto them like a predator eyeing prey. "Shall we have some fun?"

The three men whimpered, their eyes darting around, looking for any possible escape. Raven flicked her wrist, and the dark tendrils binding their mouths disappeared, allowing them to speak.

Instantly, they started screaming.

"P-Please! We'll tell you everything!"

"W-We don't know much! Please don't—"

One of them, trembling violently, sobbed, "I-I have a family—!"

SHNK!

Nuxsus ripped his throat out in one swift motion. Blood gushed like a fountain, splattering onto the remaining two. The dying scientist clutched his shredded throat, gargling, before collapsing lifelessly.

The other two screamed in horror.

Nuxsus wiped the blood off his hand, completely unfazed. "I did say," he reminded them casually, "if I didn't like what you said… you'd die." His glowing red eyes bore into them.

"So if either of you say anything unnecessary, you'll join him. Now… talk."

The two remaining scientists were frozen in terror, sweat dripping from their faces. One swallowed hard before speaking.

"C-Cadmus is trying to recreate Superman's DNA," he stammered. "We—we acquired samples with help from Lex Luthor, but—but we haven't been able to perfect the cloning process! Dr. Ivo is leading the research!"

Silence.

Then—

Nuxsus grinned.

"See? That's how you answer."

Then, without warning—

SHNK!

Nuxsus stabbed his hand through the second scientist's chest, killing him instantly. The remaining scientist let out a choked scream, nearly pissing himself.

Nuxsus turned to him with a smile.

"Well, I like you," he said smoothly. "So I've got a couple more questions. Answer them… and you walk away."

The scientist nodded frantically, too afraid to do anything but obey.

....

After extracting all the necessary information from the last scientist, Nuxsus, Harley, and Raven tied him up, blindfolded him, and dumped him in an abandoned alleyway.

Harley tilted her head, pouting. "Nuxy, why didn't ya just kill him? Woulda been way easier."

Nuxsus smirked. "More chaos."

Harley blinked, then grinned wildly. "Ohhh~ I like the way ya think, Puddin'!"

Using the scientist's ID cards and disguising their appearances, the trio infiltrated Cadmus Labs. Nuxsus had it easy—his Bronze-tier shapeshifting skill allowed him to seamlessly take on the form of the scientist. Raven, however, had to use her magic to alter both her and Harley's appearances.

The disguise worked flawlessly.

"Lead Scientist Alfred, sir! Welcome back," one of the guards greeted as he scanned Nuxsus' stolen ID, granting them access.

The elevator doors slid open, and they stepped inside. As the doors closed, the lift descended past floor 0… then past floor -10… then -20… until finally, it stopped at -25.

With a soft ding, the doors opened.

What greeted them was a horrific sight.

The underground laboratory was far more advanced than they expected. The stench of chemicals and sterilized metal filled the air, mixing with an underlying foulness that suggested something was rotting.

Harley and Raven's eyes widened at the scene before them.

Monkey-like robots scurried around, welding and assembling machines. Rows of massive tubes lined the walls, each filled with a strange, viscous liquid.

Inside the tubes were… people.

Or at least, they used to be people.

Their bodies were twisted and disfigured, some with extra limbs, some with elongated skulls, and others barely recognizable as human. Their grotesque forms twitched inside the containment fluids, their faces frozen in expressions of pain and horror.

Nuxsus remained calm, but Harley and Raven were visibly disturbed.

Then, they saw it.

A clone of Superman.

Or at least, that's what it looked like.

A young man—almost identical to Superman—floated inside a high-tech containment tube, his body submerged in a glowing blue fluid. His chest rose and fell steadily, his eyes closed in artificial sleep.

"…Interesting…" Nuxsus murmured, stepping closer.

Before he could inspect further, a voice called out.

"Alfred! You're here!"

A scientist rushed over, excitement evident in his expression. "Come with me! We've made a breakthrough on the other subject. I think you're gonna love this!"

Nuxsus raised an eyebrow, suppressing his grin.

"Of course!" he said, matching the scientist's enthusiasm. "Please, show me."
