Lord: Sequence Master

Chapter 294: Territory Evolution and the Sunken Doomsday Ark

Rosen did not leave the Old Continent through the Old Day Camp but instead returned to Brilliant King's City via Data Transmission. Before leaving, he even destroyed the Hope Torch's projection.

Too many eyes were watching the Old Day Camp, and the fact that Old Day Game could ignore the Ash Veil was enough to alarm the True Gods. If he left through the Old Day Camp, there was a high chance that the waiting True Gods would see through his Disguise Ability.

After resting in Brilliant King's City for a few days, Rosen began preparing for his advancement in the Noble Sequence.

In the royal palace's grand hall, Rosen sat on the Brilliant Throne, took out the Brilliant Map, summoned the Miracle Embers, and began channeling the civilization fortune of Brilliant Kingdom to surround himself. The Brilliant Kingdom was the ideal environment for his advancement.

At the moment his Divine Perception connected with the Noble Sequence Tree, Rosen's Divine Consciousness descended into the Spirit Realm.

Two golden leaves fell from the Noble Sequence Tree, and at the same time, in his Divine Territory, the Yinglong Avatar activated the Ancient God Sacrificial Rite, offering the Sequence 2 Wolf Totem as a sacrifice. This fusion granted his Divine Territory two new territory traits: Devouring and Twilight of the Gods.

This became the final push for his Noble Sequence's transformation, instantly driving his Transcendent Essence into evolution.

Rosen looked up at the two golden leaves falling from the sky and carefully merged them into his Transcendent Essence.

At that moment, he heard whispers of madness.

However, mere whispers no longer held mystery for him.

Since fusing the Ancient God's Holy Bell into his Miracle Sequence, he had already mastered the Ancient God's Divine Voice, allowing him to understand all languages.

So now, he could comprehend these whispers—they were curses, uttered in ancient spiritual tongues by numerous Foreign True Gods, aimed at the Noble Sequence.

Yet all the curse damage was completely blocked by the civilization's Divine Fire of the Brilliant Kingdom.

With no resistance, Rosen smoothly advanced to Sequence 2, elevating his Divine Essence to 93 points in the process.

Sensing his Transcendent Essence, Rosen saw his Sequence 2 Noble Authority.

[Divine Authority Bestowed by Kings – Noble Sequence 2 Class Authority]

[Effect: You have obtained the power to bestow divine offices.]

"Divine Authority Bestowed by Kings?"

Rosen was puzzled.

In the Main World, he had only ever heard of Divine Right of Kings, never Divine Authority Bestowed by Kings.

After all, in the Main World, True Gods held absolute power.

Upon carefully studying this Class Authority, Rosen realized that Divine Authority Bestowed by Kings was somewhat similar to a True God granting Subordinate Deities, except he didn't require Saints to bestow divine offices.

He could convert any Rule Authority integrated into his Divine Territory into a corresponding divine office and grant it to his territorial citizens.

As long as they remained within his Divine Territory, even the weakest of those who received divine offices would gain at least Sequence 3-level power.

Currently, his Divine Territory contained 59 Rule Authorities and one Law Authority.

There was no way he could study and master all of them individually.

Most of these Rule Authorities were simply supporting elements for his control over the World Authority.

Although these Rule Authorities were merely supporting elements, leaving them unexplored would be a waste. This was likely the reason for the birth of this Class Authority—in the future, the territorial citizens who received divine offices could replace him in mastering and deepening their control over Rule Authorities. In a sense, this was also a unique kind of Transcendent Sequence.

Rosen was in no rush to bestow divine offices—he needed time to carefully select candidates.

He took out the Sequence 2 Golden Mummy Troop Nest and bound it to his Transcendent Essence, turning it into a new troop nest.

His current territory troops were already well-balanced—Slimes specialized in pure defense, Ash Bees excelled at countering high-defense enemies, Angels and Demons were suited for direct warfare, and Undead Insect Swarms were the most versatile.

Along with Dragonblood Naga and other special units, his Divine Territory seemingly had no urgent need for new troops.

However, after studying the Golden Mummies, Rosen immediately changed his mind.

Golden Mummies wielded both Holy and Death powers simultaneously.

While the Undead Insect Swarm was formidable, it was naturally countered by Holy Power and similar forces of purification. This was a major weakness that had long prevented the Undead Race from achieving large-scale dominance.

With the Golden Mummies' support, the Undead Insect Swarm would no longer have this fatal weakness.

[Mummy Pyramid: Divine Troop Structure]

[Rank: Sequence 2]

[Effect: Once per year, it consumes resources to produce up to three Golden Mummies.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Golden Sand Desert: Can transform the territory environment into a Golden Sand Desert.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Golden Pyramid: Golden Mummies can construct the Extraordinary Structure – Golden Pyramid.]

Rosen accessed his Scavenger Warehouse, retrieving various resources, a massive amount of Divine Crystal Fragments, the corpses of three Sequence 2 humanoid Transcendent beings, and an abundance of Holy and Death-attribute materials. Only after gathering everything did he finally meet the production requirements.

Although Sequence 2 troops were powerful, the cost of production was immense.

The summoning process required time, and based on his calculations, it would take three days to complete.

Currently, thanks to the Ancient God Sacrificial Rite merging with the Möbius Loop, his Divine Territory had acquired the Dimensional Fusion Trait. Combined with Dimensional Painting, his Divine Territory had expanded into a Nine-Layered World.

After careful consideration, Rosen decided to restructure the Nine-Layered World.

The Ninth Layer, the deepest, would house Ash Fortress and other standard Extraordinary structures.

The Fourth to Eighth Layers would be assigned specific troop nests—Slime Nest, Ash Bee Hive, Mummy Pyramid, Angel Rebirth Pool, and Demon Nest.

The First to Third Layers, the outermost regions, were already strong enough to handle battles below True God level.

At Sequence 3, Rosen's Divine Territory was already on par with a Demi-God's Divine Kingdom.

Now that he had reached Sequence 2, his Divine Territory was indistinguishable from a Sequence 0 Divine Kingdom, apart from its smaller size.

Unless a war between True Gods erupted within his Divine Territory, nothing could threaten its foundation.

In the Fourth Layer, Rosen relocated the Mummy Pyramid and activated the Divine Authority Trait – Golden Sand Desert.

Within a 930 miles radius, the territory space gradually transformed—ordinary sand and soil turned into golden sands imbued with both Holy and Death Spiritual Essence.

His Scavenger Warehouse's material reserves dropped by nearly ten percent, and it took several days to completely convert this entire space into a Golden Sand Desert.

At this moment, three Golden Mummies had already been born—a Sequence 2 Golden Mummy Warrior, a Golden Mummy Mage, and a Golden Mummy Pharaoh. The Warrior and Mage specialized in slaughter and destruction, while the Golden Mummy Pharaoh focused on summoning and construction.

The Golden Mummy Pharaoh waved its Pharaoh's Scepter, instantly summoning a vast swarm of Golden Scarabs.

These Golden Scarabs began devouring the golden sand, refining it further while also shaping it into bricks of varying sizes, each embedded with spiritual runes. These Golden Scarabs were, by nature, elite miners of the highest caliber.

After summoning enough Golden Scarabs, the Golden Mummy Pharaoh proceeded to summon ordinary Golden Mummies.

As long as there were Sequence 4 corpses, they could be used within the Golden Sand Desert to summon Sequence 4 Golden Mummies.

Rosen's Scavenger Space was overflowing with the corpses of Sequence 4 humanoid Ash Beings, piled high like mountains.

The Golden Mummy Pharaoh summoned hundreds of Golden Mummies in one go before finally reaching its limit. Given time, it could summon a few hundred more—the total summonable number depended on ten times its spiritual strength, which amounted to 880 Golden Mummies in total.

Under the Golden Mummy Pharaoh's command, hundreds of Golden Mummies began carrying gold bricks to construct Golden Pyramids.

These Golden Pyramids had no limit on quantity. They could gather holy power for offense and defense, provide a resting place for Golden Mummies, allowing them to enter hibernation to reduce consumption, and even aid undead and other death-aligned creatures in harnessing Holy Power.

However, the construction progressed slowly. Rosen moved to the Fifth Layer of his Territory and placed the Angel Rebirth Pool.

Then, he took out a Sequence 2 Soul Gem and upgraded the Angel Rebirth Pool to Sequence 2.

[Angel Rebirth Pool: Divine Troop Structure]

[Rank: Sequence 2]

[Effect: Consumes Holy Materials to convert believers into Angelic Troops, with a maximum rank of Sequence 2.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Resurrection: All Angelic Troops can be revived in the Angel Rebirth Pool unless their Divine Essence is destroyed.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Celestial Mountain: Angels can construct the Extraordinary Structure – Celestial Mountain.]

"Celestial Mountain?"

Rosen retrieved his stockpile of Holy Materials and began directing the Angelic Troops to construct Celestial Mountain.

The fundamental purpose of Celestial Mountain was to serve as a habitat.

All Angels residing in Celestial Mountain could not only recover their depleted Divine Power faster, but also infuse their Divine Power into Celestial Mountain, gradually tempering its defenses and nurturing various Holy Transcendent Resources over time.

Celestial Mountain's construction was a long-term process.

Rosen then moved to the Sixth Layer of his Territory and placed the Demon Nest.

Using another Soul Gem, he upgraded the Demon Nest to Sequence 2.

[Demon Nest: Divine Troop Structure]

[Rank: Sequence 2]

[Effect: Once per year, consumes resources to produce up to three Abyssal Demons.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Abyssal World: Abyssal Demons can corrupt a region, transforming it into an Abyssal World.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Abyssal Blood River: The Abyssal World can devour life to form an Abyssal Blood River.]

With a single thought, Rosen summoned all the Abyssal Demons in his Divine Territory and transferred them into the Demon Nest.

All the Abyssal Demons instinctively burrowed into the Demon Nest.

Since the majority of his Abyssal Demons were Abyssal Shadowfiends, an endless wave of darkness spread from the Demon Nest, gradually devouring the entire territorial layer.

Eventually, the entire realm transformed into an Abyssal Shadow World, illuminated only by faint, eerie lights.

Rosen continued retrieving countless corpses from the Scavenger Space—these were all non-humanoid Ash Being corpses below Sequence 3.

The Abyssal Shadow World absorbed an immense amount of flesh and blood, gradually giving birth to a massive Abyssal Blood River that ran through the center of the entire realm.

Within the Abyssal Blood River, one could already see the emergence of Abyssal Worms wriggling in the depths.

Once these Abyssal Worms hatched, they would spawn various types of Sequence 9 Abyssal Demons. These Abyssal Demons, as long as they engaged in continuous slaughter around the Abyssal Blood River, could rapidly grow to Sequence 6, with a troop production rate even surpassing that of the Undead Broodmother.

After producing three Sequence 2 Abyssal Shadowfiends, Rosen casually placed the remaining troop nests in their respective locations.

By now, he had realized that every Sequence 2 troop nest seemed to alter the surrounding environment upon activation.

Moreover, nearly all of them came with secondary structures, making them more than just troop production buildings. They had started generating the very Extraordinary resources necessary for sustaining their own troops.

If these troop nests continued growing and evolving to Sequence 1, it was entirely possible that they could achieve complete self-sufficiency.

Rosen didn't rush to further enhance his troop nests since he had only one Sequence 2 Soul Gem left.

And this last one was, of course, reserved for Ash Fortress.

...

In the Ninth Layer of the Divine Territory, Ash Fortress, just like the troop nests, began undergoing a unique transformation.

[Ash Fortress: Divine Structure]

[Rank: Sequence 2]

[Attached Structures: Castle Hall, Towers, Spirit Realm Watchtower, Steam Power Tower, Elemental Barrier Tower, Dungeon…]

[Divine Authority Trait – Machine Spirit Life: Can integrate with Sequence Trees to acquire high-level Machine Spirit intelligence.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Hearthfire Ash: Can consume and destroy civilizations, harvesting Hearthfire Ash to enhance Ash Fortress.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Civilization Structure: Serves as the core building of a civilization.]

[Divine Authority Trait – Ash Guardians: Any invader slain within the Divine Territory will be converted into a Machine Spirit Puppet Ash Guardian.]

Aside from its fundamental defensive capabilities and an overall attribute boost, Ash Fortress did not generate secondary structures like the troop nests did.

Rosen extracted a Sequence 4 Draconic Beast from the Void God Prison.

At that moment, a beam of divine light from the Brilliant Lighthouse pierced through its skull, killing it instantly.

Almost immediately, Ash began seeping into its corpse, fully permeating the Draconic Beast's lifeless body.

Moments later, the once-dead creature suddenly reanimated, now transformed into an Ash Guardian.

At a glance, Ash Guardians were virtually identical to Ash Beings.

The greatest advantage of Ash Guardians was their ease of creation. If, during wartime, countless invaders perished within his Divine Territory, then for every enemy that died, an equally powerful guardian would be added to his ranks. The strategic value of Ash Guardians in large-scale warfare was immeasurable.

However, they were not without flaws—creating Ash Guardians consumed Ash, and they could not leave the Divine Territory.

It seemed he would have to travel frequently, gathering and stockpiling enough civilization embers to sustain his war efforts.

Once the Divine Territory was properly reorganized, Rosen retrieved the Sequence 2 Miracle Artifact: Spatial Clay Jars.

This artifact came as a pair, allowing instant teleportation between the two jars.

According to historian Suade, it was precisely because he carried this artifact that he dared to enter the mysterious wooden cabin.

Unfortunately, he hadn't anticipated that the dimensional blockade of the World Recycling Station would be strong enough to nullify the Spatial Clay Jars entirely.

As recorded in the Eternal Chronicles, Suade had left the second jar hidden in his secret base.

There was a chance that some of Suade's legacy remained inside—or it could just as easily be a trap.

Rosen carefully activated the Spatial Clay Jar, and a swirling dimensional vortex appeared inside it.

Reaching into the jar, he was instantly pulled in, only to be ejected from the other jar moments later.

Using Hunter's Divine Eye, he surveyed his surroundings. Even in complete darkness, he could see everything clearly.

The space was small, only about ten meters across, with bookshelves lining the walls and a desk in the center.

Rosen formed a spherical divine bullet imbued with holy authority, suspending it in the air to illuminate the room.

The bookshelves were filled with copies of history books written by Suade.

These copies weren't particularly valuable—the original manuscripts were all stored within Suade's portable History Museum.

Rosen searched the desk for a while but was disappointed to find nothing that caught his eye.

The rarest item was only a Sequence 3 Extraordinary Fountain Pen, infused with Novelist Sequence Essence.

Could the real treasure be outside this study?

After taking everything inside the study, Rosen began searching for an exit.

To his surprise, none of the four walls had any doors.

When he tried to break through, he found that the walls remained completely unscathed.

With his current strength, even a True God would be injured if they tried to take his attack head-on.

At that moment, Rosen realized—this room itself was likely Suade's true hidden treasure.

Activating History Mirror, he attempted to trace the room's historical information.

As he examined the visions, his expression grew increasingly strange.

This was not just a room—it was an Extraordinary Artifact, and a True God-level one at that.

Since it was currently unclaimed, his Divine Perception easily analyzed its properties.

This artifact was called Doomsday Ark Ticket, and its true form was a small, cube-shaped box.

Its attributes and traits were almost entirely focused on stealth and defense.

Even a True God would struggle to destroy this sealed cubic space.

The only non-defensive trait of the Doomsday Ark Ticket was that it granted its holder a place aboard the real Doomsday Ark.

Moreover, the ticket was numbered, implying that many such tickets existed.

Since each ticket was already at the True God level, the actual Doomsday Ark was likely a Miracle Artifact at the Great True God level.

The Doomsday Ark's purpose was almost certainly to serve as an escape vessel, built to flee the Main World when the Ancient God fully awakened.

Rosen quickly refined the ticket, and—perhaps due to its unique nature—it was remarkably easy to refine.

Then, he made a terrifying discovery—

His ticket was already aboard the Ark.

That explained why Suade hadn't kept the ticket on him and why he had needed the Spatial Clay Jars to move in and out.

Rosen extended his Divine Perception beyond the ticket's internal space and realized that he was likely inside one of the Ark's cabins.

The cabin was massive, yet there were only three tickets inside.

He sent out his Yinglong Clone, pushing open the cabin door and stepping outside.

The entire Doomsday Ark was in a dilapidated state—a single-masted warship no longer than a hundred meters.

The mast was broken, and the deck lay battered and decayed.

Beyond the ship, there was only an endless expanse of pitch-black ocean.

Rosen attempted to refine the Doomsday Ark itself, but—unsurprisingly—he failed.

However, he did discover something new—

The Doomsday Ark wasn't an Extraordinary Artifact.

It was a Great True God-level Miracle Artifact.

Though visibly damaged, the Ark was constantly absorbing the surrounding ocean, slowly repairing itself.

Using Hunter's Divine Eye, Rosen pinpointed his location and confirmed that he was inside the Spirit Realm's Deep Sea.

At that moment, he understood why the other ticket holders had abandoned the Doomsday Ark.

Because the Spirit Realm's Deep Sea was, in essence, the Ancient God's soul.

If the Ark had only sunk into the shallow waters, some external influence could still reach it.

But now?

It was buried at the bottom of the Spirit Realm's Deep Sea—so deep that even a Great True God would struggle to reach it.

That explained why True Gods had left it untouched.

Even though True Gods could technically enter the Spirit Realm's Deep Sea, doing so risked disturbing the Ancient God's slumber.

Thus, they had chosen to leave the Doomsday Ark where it was.

As for whether other factors were at play, perhaps the Golden Pharaoh knew something.
