Chapter 2: Chapter 1: The Incident
Life? Yes, life is something we live through every single day, from morning until night. But… for Catte, every day is just the same as yesterday, the past week, and even the past year…
Hell…
One fateful day, an incident took place at a construction site. Without realizing it, Catte had killed a manager using a knife. He saw something he never wanted to see… Blood.
For the first time, Catte had taken a life with a weapon, with no reason as to why he did it. The only words that escaped his lips were:
"What… have I done all this time…?!"
He asked himself, his mind clouded with confusion. Without hesitation, he bolted from the scene, taking his little sister, Ruby, to the place he had longed for—one he had dreamed of for years.
After taking a taxi, Catte and Ruby headed toward the destination Catte had long wished for—the beach.
Every day, Catte would admire the beauty of the ocean, the place where his mother's final wish remained… but that wish could never be fulfilled.
In the end, Catte made a decision—to take his own life by drowning himself in the sea.
But just as he took a step forward, Ruby clung to his pants, refusing to let him go.
Catte could only think to himself…
"Why did I bring my little sister…?"
Without wasting any more time, he lifted Ruby into his arms and continued toward the ocean.
He had already killed an innocent child once. What difference did it make now? He no longer cared—he just wanted freedom from this world.
Catte stepped into the water, walking slowly. His little sister held onto his shoulders as tightly as she could.
"Shhh… Everything will be okay… Big brother just wants to take you somewhere safe…"
With each step, the water grew deeper. The waves became stronger, pushing him back, but he didn't stop. He was determined to return to hell.
Then—just as he rushed forward—someone grabbed his shirt from behind.
"Gotcha!" a voice called out, filled with amusement, as if he had just received a long-awaited paycheck.
Caught off guard, Catte turned around and yelled,
"Hey… Hey…! What the hell are you doing?! Let me go!"
The person who had stopped him was none other than Colin Valerian—a well-known mafia figure within his syndicate. With a smirk, Colin dragged Catte out of the water and pulled him back to shore.
As soon as they reached land, one of Colin's assistants approached, offering him a towel. Meanwhile, the others just stood there, watching Catte—who now looked like a drenched cat.
Colin glanced at him with an unsettling smile and said,
"Looks like I've found a new toy to play with today."
Then, without hesitation, he snatched Ruby from Catte's arms.
"You really had no hope left, huh? So much so that you were willing to kill an innocent little girl?"
"No..! Give Ruby back!" Catte shouted, his voice desperate.
But before Colin could say anything else—Ruby fought back.
She punched him right in the face.
Colin barely reacted to the hit, but his eyes gleamed with intrigue. This little girl could fight.
Amused, he handed Ruby back to Catte and smirked. Catte remained silent, unable to do anything but follow Colin's orders.
After receiving Colin's orders, Catte silently boarded his vehicle, holding Ruby close as she clung to him for comfort. The atmosphere inside was tense, and the only sound was the low hum of the engine.
Breaking the silence, Colin suddenly asked:
"Are you a virgin? You look like a woman trapped in a man's body."
Catte froze, his thoughts racing.
"An Alpha…"
The term echoed in his mind—a man who was naturally drawn to an Omega, a male who possessed a more feminine allure.
But he said nothing. He simply shrunk into the corner, refusing to respond. Meanwhile, Colin only smirked, watching Catte's silence with amusement.
When they finally arrived at their destination, Colin's associate, Caleb, stepped forward and took Ruby from Catte's arms.
"Hey! Let g—"
Before Catte could finish, Colin blocked him with his arm.
With a knowing smirk, Colin whispered,
"Men need to have their own conversations."
Catte clenched his jaw but said nothing. He had no choice but to follow Colin's lead.
