Love in The Hallway

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Confronting Emily

As I walked to my next class, I couldn't shake off the feeling that Emily was still watching me. I turned around, but she was nowhere to be found.

I tried to focus on my schoolwork, but my mind kept wandering back to Emily and her strange behavior. Why was she so interested in Ethan and me?

At lunchtime, I decided to confront Emily. I found her sitting at a table in the cafeteria, eating a sandwich.

"Emily, can I talk to you?" I asked, trying to sound calm.

Emily looked up at me, a mixture of surprise and curiosity on her face. "What's up, Sophia?" she asked.

I sat down across from her, trying to gather my thoughts. "I want to know why you're so interested in Ethan and me," I said. "You're always watching us, and it's starting to freak me out."

Emily sighed, looking down at her sandwich. "I'm just trying to protect Ethan," she said. "He's a great guy, and I don't want to see him get hurt."

I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "Protect him from what?" I asked.

Emily looked up at me, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and warning. "From you, Sophia," she said. "You're not good enough for Ethan. You're going to hurt him, just like you hurt everyone else in your life."

I felt a surge of anger at her words, but I tried to remain calm. "That's not fair, Emily," I said. "I care about Ethan deeply, and I would never hurt him on purpose."

Emily shook her head, looking unconvinced. "We'll see about that," she said.

As I walked away from the table, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What was Emily planning, and how was I going to stop her?

I tried to shake off the feeling and focus on my schoolwork, but my mind kept wandering back to Emily and her strange behavior.

At the end of the school day, I decided to talk to Ethan about Emily's warning. I found him waiting for me by the lockers, a concerned expression on his face.

"Hey, Sophia, what's wrong?" he asked, noticing my worried look.

I took a deep breath before speaking. "It's Emily," I said. "She warned me to stay away from you, and I don't know what she's planning."

Ethan's expression turned dark. "I'll take care of it, Sophia," he said. "Don't worry about Emily."

But I was worried. I knew that Emily was not someone to be underestimated, and I had a feeling that she was going to do something drastic.

As we walked home from school, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What was Emily planning, and how was I going to protect Ethan and myself from her wrath?

When we arrived at my house, Ethan turned to me and said, "I'll pick you up at 7pm tonight, okay?"

I nodded, feeling a little better. "Okay, Ethan," I said. "But be careful, okay? I have a feeling that Emily is going to do something crazy."

Ethan smiled and kissed me on the cheek. "Don't worry, Sophia," he said. "I can take care of myself."

But as I watched him walk away, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. What was Emily planning, and how was I going to stop her?

As the hours ticked by, I found myself getting more and more anxious. I tried to distract myself by watching TV and doing my homework, but my mind kept wandering back to Emily and her warning.

Finally, at 7pm, Ethan arrived at my doorstep, looking handsome and charming as always.

"Hey, Sophia," he said, smiling. "Are you ready to go?"

I nodded, feeling a little better. "Yeah, Ethan," I said. "Let's go."

As we walked to the car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. What did Ethan have planned for tonight, and would we be able to avoid Emily's wrath?

But as we drove away from my house, I saw Emily standing on the sidewalk, watching us. Her eyes were filled with anger and hatred, and I felt a surge of fear.

What was Emily planning, and how was I going to protect Ethan and myself from her wrath?
