"Protect the ship!" Sanji roared at Luffy, who was too busy fooling around after witnessing a ship plummet from the sky.

It hadn't even been a full day since they left Alabasta, yet here they were, facing something as absurd as a ship nearly crashing down on them.

The crew scrambled in a frenzy, each trying to keep the ship steady and avoid disaster. Meanwhile, inside one of the ship's rooms, Kong was tossed around like a rag doll by the violent waves. Yet, despite the chaos, he remained fast asleep—completely unbothered by the world shaking around him.

"Oh no, the Log Pose is broken! It's pointing straight up!" Nami cried out, staring in disbelief at the compass wrapped around her wrist.

This wasn't just any compass—it was a Log Pose, designed to lock onto the magnetic field of an island and guide them straight to it. But now, instead of pointing toward the horizon, it was fixed directly at the sky… But there was no way an island could exist up there, right?

"It's not broken," Nico Robin, the newest member of the Straw Hats, said calmly as she gazed toward the heavens. "If it's pointing straight up, that means there's a Sky Island."

Her words sent a wave of shock and confusion through the crew. An island… in the sky?

But then, Luffy remembered the paper that had slapped him across the face earlier. It had come from the falling ship—almost like fate itself was telling him where to go.

Instantly, everyone gathered around him, peering at the paper in his hands. Their eyes widened in shock as they realized what it was—a map of a Sky Island.

"Skypiea? Could there really be an island in the sky?" Usopp asked in amazement, while Nami took the map, studying it closely.

Excitement quickly took over as Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper started chanting, their voices growing louder by the second.

And that was what finally woke Kong up—Luffy's obnoxious voice mixing with two others.

"Damn it, Luffy, can't you go a single day without being so loud?" Kong groaned as he opened the door, his face full of irritation.

The moment he stepped out, all eyes turned to him. Chopper's jaw nearly hit the floor as he stared in shock—not just because Kong was up and moving, but because his missing arm had somehow regrown.

BOOM

Before Kong could process anything else, he was slammed into the side of the ship, breaking part of it as Luffy tackled him with a tight hug.

"You should really take better care of your ship," Kong muttered, completely ignoring the fact that Luffy was clinging to him like a koala and instead focusing on the damage Luffy had just carelessly inflicted.

Luffy was about to speak, but suddenly, the world went dark. It was as if night had fallen in an instant—something that made no sense. A heavy silence filled the air as everyone instinctively turned toward where the sun had been, only for their breath to catch in their throats.

Towering in the distance, a colossal shadow loomed over them. But this wasn't just one giant.

They were in the middle of the sea, yet the knees of these massive beings rose above the water's surface, their enormous forms stretching far into the clouds. Five of them stood in formation, their figures partially obscured by mist, each gripping massive weapons in their hands—all pointed directly at the ship.

Cracks slowly spread across the ship's structure, the wood groaning under an unseen pressure. Though it was difficult, everyone managed to tear their eyes away from the towering giants and turned toward Kong.

He stood there, gripping a simple Marine sword, his Conqueror's Haki spilling out uncontrollably. Even though he wasn't intentionally releasing it, the sheer force of his will was too much for the ship to handle.

"Full speed ahead! I want them to join my pirate crew!" Kong declared, his eyes gleaming with excitement. His words snapped Luffy out of his stunned state.

"What?! No way! They're gonna join my crew!" Luffy shot back, stepping in front of Kong and stretching his arms, ready to fight for the towering figures in the distance.

"I called dibs! Besides, you already have a crew—I don't, so it's only fair they join me," Kong snorted, crossing his arms.

Before either brother could argue further, the ship suddenly veered away from the giants at full speed, much to their displeasure.

"Hey! What are you doing? Turn us back!" Luffy shouted, flailing his arms.

"Yeah! We haven't even tried recruiting them yet!" Kong added.

But Nami and the others ignored them entirely, fully focused on escaping. Their survival instincts took priority over whatever reckless plan the brothers had in mind.

Soon, they emerged from the eerie darkness, the oppressive shadows fading behind them as they reached a nearby island—Jaya.

"They must have been shadows," Kong mused, his brow furrowed as he recalled the massive figures looming in the distance.

"What do you mean?" Robin asked, her curiosity piqued.

"After the initial shock wore off, I realized something," Kong said, tapping his chin. "They had no aura. No presence. They were probably illusions or shadows. If they were shadows, the source would have to be up in the sky to cast them down. But then again, they had wings… so maybe they were angels or something." He shrugged, as if the idea of sky-dwelling beings wasn't all that far-fetched.

Then, he paused, turning to look at Robin more closely. "Wait a minute… You're Nico Robin, aren't you?" His lips curled into a grin. "You were actually one of my top picks for my pirate crew."

Robin raised an eyebrow at that, but before she could respond, Kong straightened up and gave a small, polite nod. "Oh, I'm being rude. I'm Monkey D. Kong, Luffy's twin brother. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

"I'm Nami, the ship's navigator," Nami said with a small nod toward Kong, who returned the gesture.

"I'm Usopp, the strongest warrior on board the ship!" Usopp declared proudly, puffing out his chest.

Kong raised an eyebrow, giving Usopp a once-over. "At first, I thought you were a sniper, given how sharp your eyesight is and, well… how little muscle you have," Kong said, smirking. "But it looks like I was wrong. Were you the one who defeated the Warlord? I'd love to have a spar."

Usopp stiffened, his confident facade crumbling as sweat began to bead on his forehead.

"Don't bother with him, he's the ship's sniper. I'm Sanji the ship chief." Sanji said casually, gesturing toward Usopp before pointing behind him.

"Mosshead over there is the ship's personal cleaner. If you ever need something scrubbed, he's your guy," Sanji added with a smirk, earning an irritated glare from Zoro. "And this here is Tony Tony Chopper. He's our doctor and the one who treated your injuries."

Kong turned his gaze toward Chopper, his expression one of genuine amazement. "A raccoon dog that's a doctor? Now I've seen it all."

"I'm a reindeer!" Chopper cried out, nearly in tears.

Kong quickly apologized, realizing his mistake. In his defense, he had never seen a reindeer before—at least, not in this world. Maybe this really was just how they looked.

His attention then shifted to Sanji and Zoro, who had begun bickering and throwing jabs at each other. The rest of the crew paid them no mind, so Kong figured this must be a normal occurrence aboard the ship. Noticing that neither of them seemed particularly serious about it, he decided to ignore them as well.

"By the way, I heard you guys chanting something about sky pie… I've never heard of that flavor before," Kong said, genuinely intrigued.

"No, it's Skypiea, an island in the sky," Nami corrected him with a sigh. "The Log Pose is pointing straight up toward it." She showed Kong the map, and his eyebrow shot up in confusion.

"That looks like regular land… how are clouds supposed to hold something that heavy? First, Reverse Mountain, and now an island floating on clouds… I have to see this for myself," Kong said, baffled.

"So, you're joining my crew?" Luffy asked, grinning.

Kong rolled his eyes. "I'm stronger than you. Shouldn't you be asking to join my crew instead? I can't imagine the kind of hell they've been through with you as their captain. Honestly, I'm shocked you all haven't been swallowed by a whale or something."

"We have," Usopp, Sanji, Nami, and Zoro all deadpanned in unison. Kong blinked, turning to Luffy with pure disapproval.
