Chapter 110 Trouble
Xavier dashed forward with breathtaking speed and began tearing the undead apart from behind while the rest of the group focused on killing the rest of them and soon the last one was blasted by a spell and fell to the ground.
All of them were breathing heavily, not because they were tired but because it was just a normal reaction; all of them were still in peak physical state, which was strange except Xavier of course, who looked like he could fall to the ground at any given time.
"Is the human alright, and what happened to his plain sword it looks...wait, what is happening to his hands?" Dragonborn spoke, and the rest of them stared at Xavier, whose hand was now joining with the sword.
His hand was becoming a part of the sword.
"Hey human, what's wrong with that?" One of the demons asked, and Xavier raised his head; they could all see it in his eyes.
"I don't think he's alright, he going to attack, he's going to attack!!" Dragonborn shouted and the rest of them quickly took their stance as Xavier dashed forward.
Xavier collided with a barrier before he could reach them, and before he could make a move, he was blasted by a lightning spell and sent flying across the room.
"Why is the human attacking us, should we kill him?" Tiger spoke.
"I think it's the sword not him, I think it's cursed" the dwarf spoke, "We have to separate him from the sword and he'll be okay"
"Separate him, you don't mean cut his hand off right?" The pirate spoke.
"How else would you separate him, do you have any bright ideas?" The dwarf asked.
"If you cut his hand off, I can heal him though we'll then have to stay here for hours so I can recover my Mana" the elf spoke
"Alright then, we cut his hand off"
Xavier stood up and looked at all nine of them; the harpy was still in the air, which Xavier couldn't reach; at least, that was what she thought until Xavier took a single step forward and hurled his sword towards her.
It was unexpected; she was quick and tried to dodge, but not quick enough as the sword tore through one of her wings.
"Argh..." She screamed as she lost control and fell to the ground, but she was caught by one of the demons.
"The sword isn't in his hands, this is the chance to..." Dragonborn stopped as the sword appeared back in Xavier's hand.
"What the heck is this? Enough of this; let's knock him out and then think of something to do," Tiger spoke as he walked forward.
"That's the plan then"
Five of them stepped forward while the other four stayed back as the elf healed the Harpy's wings.
"Kill them all; you'll be the strongest, the best of them all; feed them to me." Xavier took a deep breath as he dashed forward, but before he reached the rest of the group, he stopped.
For a second, he could see clearly; he was in control, but he had no recollection of what was happening, but he was holding his sword in front of the rest of the group.
"Feed me," Xavier heard the voice in his head again, and this time, he acted; from his inventory, he brought out his normal silver sword, and to the surprise of the rest of them, Xavier actually cut his hand off.
"Argh!!!" Xavier screamed as his hand fell off along with the sword.
"What the..."
*BOOM!!*
Dragonborn blasted the sword on the ground with lightning knocking it far away from Xavier.
"Elf"
"I'm coming," she spoke as Xavier fell to the ground, but the bleeding had already stopped; despite the pain, Xavier had already coated the tip of his arm with Mana, preventing blood loss since he didn't want to lose consciousness.
The elf quickly lay beside him, placing both of her hands around his arm, and soon the pain was replaced by a smooth feeling. Xavier felt his eyes closing, and soon he passed out.
...
Xavier's eyes fluttered open, and he was close to the wall, lying on something soft, which turned out to be the elf's legs, as he sat up. Enjoy new chapters from empire
"You're awake; I thought you were going to die in your sleep," Dragonborn spoke.
"What are you talking about?"
"You've been asleep for 5 to 6 hours now, she spent her entire Mana reserve to heal your hands and now she's recovered them all and you still haven't woken up"
"What happened?" The dwarf asked.
"It's the sword, I knew what was happening but I couldn't stop it, I could hear all of you, but yet I seemed so far away, it was like my body was being controlled and I was watching, but somehow I won and I was slipping back so I cut the sword off my hand" Xavier spoke.
"What if the elf isn't here to heal your hands? How would you have survived since it's the only thing you can fight with?" Dragonborn spoke.
"I heard you guys talking about cutting my hands off, so I did it; it's really the only thing to do since I can't knock myself out," Xavier said.
"So that's a cursed sword. Did you know when you picked it? I'm sure you did because I was also offered, but I didn't because I know cursed swords," the dwarf spoke.
"Thanks for not killing me," Xavier said.
"I wanted to kill you, but I was stopped" Tiger spoke.
"I'm sorry, Harpy," Xavier said as he stood up, but she didn't answer; she was the only one who faced actual danger from Xavier; if she wasn't fast enough, he wouldn't be apologizing right now.
"So now that you're awake, let's move on," Dragonborn said, and the rest of them stood up.
"Where is the god of death? Did he come to you?" Xavier asked.
"I'm here, always" he spoke.
"I want you to hold onto my sword for me; I'm going to take it back after I'm done," Xavier spoke.
"Done with the next floor?"
"Done with the Tower" Xavier replied.
