Mage Legend

Chapter 426: Travel and Travel Beyond Chapter Eighteen: Spy_4

The elves surrounding the Great Druid turned their heads and nodded towards Lynch. They didn't all know this mage before them; some had only heard his name. But Lynch's name was associated with the first repelling of the undead onslaught, and the defense strategies he provided to the elves were indeed effective. Even if the ordinary elves were unaware, how could these elite warriors not know?

"Good day." Lynch nodded, "What kind of wind could gather so many outstanding souls together?" Zilvra was not present, and the little angel was absorbed in playing hide and seek with the flowing patterns on the Mage Robe, not paying attention to what the elves were saying. So Lynch communicated directly with the people in front of him in Elf Language. The mage, proficient in various languages, spoke their language almost as fluently as a native elf, which greatly surprised all the elves present except for Nosta.

"Good day," Nosta said, "When elites gather, it's either a celebration or danger. Unfortunately, this time we face danger." He placed his right hand on his chest, then spread it open: "First, let me introduce you to the warriors before you."

The Great Druid introduced the elves around him one by one, simply yet to the point. These individuals were elf generals who had come from beyond Heather. They were usually responsible for the safety of various tribal communities, but the threat Heather faced had caused them concern, drawing them here. They performed similar roles in the small tribes, no different from Nosta, but the Great Druid, being an important elf responsible for the Holy Land, remained the one they had to obey in the command structure.

Lynch nodded in greeting to each elf present. Although he was a mage, wielding the power of extensive knowledge and quite powerful magic, he was still just a junior in front of these elf elders. Learning from the experienced is always a tenet among mages.

"This is..." The Great Druid Nosta pointed to a female elf beside him, then suddenly faltered before saying, "This is the Empress's daughter, Druid Yilinrui. Recently... she just recovered from meditation... and came here."

Lynch continuously observed the elves' equipment in front of him with the Eye of Insight, estimating each elite's favored combat skills from their muscle lines. After hearing Nosta's words, he finally withdrew his gaze, looking at the elf before him. However, the difference between using and not using the Eye of Insight wasn't significant; this elf's "coverings" were indeed minimal.

Druids usually prefer natural fabrics, even directly using animal pelts or leaf cloaks as garments. Yet Yilinrui was more "Druid stylized," using silver shells to cover only essential parts, decorating her hair with pale yellow flowers, and adding tooth-carved necklaces on her wrists and ankles—that was all she wore.

However, her hair length exceeded that of the average elf, flowing behind her all the way down to her knees. Unlike her mother, Yilinrui did not inherit a head of golden curls, nor did she have the single-color hair typical of elves. Like a rainbow after the rain, her long hair was an array of colors, cascading like a waterfall.

Yilinrui closed her eyes, preventing Lynch from seeing her eyes as green as the morning grass in spring, but she wrinkled her nose, sniffed towards the mage's direction, and then nodded affirmatively, a smile surfacing on her lips.

"We finally meet..."
