She will receive direct guidance from the Supreme Bishop and soon become a Priest mastering high-level divine skills. A whole squad of Paladins will obey her command, and every sacred Pate citizen will face her with the utmost reverence..."

"What use is this to her?" Lynch interrupted the Priest without courtesy, "As an Angel from the powerful Dawn Angel Clan, so-called divine arts don't hold much significance for them. As for the cheers, acclaim, and glory, they are all empty titles. Though I am not Soka's parent, I still hold responsibility for her. Such pompous things hold no meaning. Moreover, if strengthening Soka's abilities is truly needed, I can teach her spells, which are much better than those relying on divine power of Priest Magic."

Kuboert was immediately choked. If compared in terms of power, the gap between a Priest's divine arts and a Mage's arcane is vast. When a Great Mage can destroy small villages with a single Lightning Storm, Priests can only ignite a few houses. Although divine arts have special effects in healing wounds and removing diseases, to Angels who naturally have these abilities, these traits won't be valued.

"However..." Kuboert still did not give up. "Priest!" Lynch waved his hand, "Your vision is good, and I even have a more perfect vision than yours. But do not forget, when a candle burns too brightly, it is also nearing the end of its life. "Do not speak of protection and responsibility in front of me," Lynch said, "If I wish, you couldn't even protect the bishop, let alone this little girl. In short, making Soka a pawn in your victory and sharing the threat of war on her behalf is unnecessary as I see it."

Having said this, the Mage took to the air, flying to Heather's lakeside ahead of the small boat. Clearly, he did not want to continue the discussion on the "Light Saintess."

Kuboert also quieted down, especially since his dispute with Lynch had drawn the elves' attention. Meeting the Elf Queen was one of his important goals and he could not let discontent with the Mage before him ruin his plans. He smiled at the rowing elf, regaining an elegant and confident demeanor.

Throughout the journey, Kuboert did not converse with Lynch again, which suited the Mage just fine. Led by several elves, they made their way to the palace. The Elf Queen should be conducting the midday prayer ceremony in the palace at this time.

Midway, they unexpectedly encountered Soka. The little Angel was running along the tree bridge with Princess Yilinrui. Upon seeing Lynch, she immediately turned to join the Mage's side.
