Mage Legend

Chapter 466: Travel and Travel Beyond Chapter Thirty Unable_3

Without needing much more thought or consultation, Caidi demanded that the trees quickly evacuate the fire zone, as they could not let this ancient forest turn to charcoal. The Fishmen, through sheer luck, stumbled upon the path to Heather.

The only consolation for Caidi was the arrival of reinforcements. He ultimately heeded Mage Lynch's advice to mobilize troops south of the Elf Kingdom prior to battle, preparing for an ambush. However, due to the great fire, the ambush turned into a skirmish. The frantic Fishmen, with their overwhelming numbers, continued to push the elf army back.

Thus, the Heather Land was bustling with activity, as elves gathered here to prepare for the final battle. In their view, the defeat of the ghostly army led by the Banshee allowed them to turn their attention fully to these marauding Fishmen.

Elf Queen Hernfurry bent down, placing her palm gently on Zilvra's forehead. Although the Half-Drow's wounds had healed, fatigue from exhaustion and toxins still kept her from waking. Little Soka worriedly tugged at the Elf Queen's clothing, watching the unconscious Zilvra.

"She'll be fine, don't worry." The Queen specifically came to visit this guest at such a time, surprising the busy elf warriors. But the Great Druid voiced his opposition directly. He believed the Empress should be safely commanding the battle from the Holy Temple.

"Soka, stay here and watch over Zilvra, don't leave," the Queen said.

Soka shook her head resolutely, "Sister Zilvra and Brother Lynch are fighting those nasty bones, I can't just sit here."

"So brave. Very well, I will bless you." The Queen leaned down and gently kissed Soka's forehead. The little angel then swayed, falling to the ground, fast asleep.

Hernfurry gently placed Soka beside Zilvra and then left the room. She turned to the guards following her closely and said, "You, go and fetch Nosta."

"Your Majesty, we don't know exactly where the Great Druid is now, and there are too many matters to attend to here. We might have to search all over Heather. In that case, what about your safety?"

"Will anything happen to me here in Heather?" The Queen smiled, like the warm sunlight of spring dispelling the last trace of doubt from the elf guards' minds. She said, "Once you find him, have him come to the Holy Temple to see me. Now, off you go."

After the elves around her departed, she glanced in the direction of the Residual Star Swamp and then quietly made her way up the tree bridge. However, her advance wasn't towards the Holy Temple atop the mountain, but to the dock beneath Heather Mountain where a small boat was moored.

When the Empress wants to draw attention, she can focus all eyes on herself. At such times, she is tall and beautiful. But when she wishes to conceal her tracks, she can become as inconspicuous as an ordinary leaf in the entire forest, graceful yet unremarkable. She passed by countless busy elves, smiling and delighting in their enthusiasm for this Holy Land, without catching the notice of a single kin.

When Great Druid Nosta hurried to the Holy Temple with questions, it was empty. Only on Heather's Holy Lake was there an extra small boat. The Elf Queen, alone, had steered it to the center of the lake, waiting.

Nosta quickly noticed the unexpected little boat, unable to fathom why the Queen would leave the safety of the Holy Land. Yet before he could order the Empress brought back, he saw something that filled him with dread.

From the direction of the Residual Star Swamp, three enormous shadows floated over.

Fyyian finally found a gap, using the spells on his body to resist the flood's onslaught, and left the swamp when Lynch and Kuboert defeated the Witch Demon. The anger sparked in him by Lynch had been extinguished by the cold river water, vanishing without a trace, as he regained his composure and rationality. When he set his sights back on the Heather Holy Land, whether or not to eliminate those two stumbling blocks seemed less significant.

The power of the Undead Magic Bead was almost depleted, with not much of the undead it stored remaining. However, the three flying creatures in the sky were the strongest undead among this Divine Artifact—the Dragon Witch Demons.

But Fyyian knew well that even with ten Dragon Witch Demons, it would be impossible to conquer the Holy Land Heather. Yet, there was still one thing he had to do. Something more important than conquering this land.
