Chapter 4: Explication
"Our vast continent is called Mana, there are many dungeons in it, the dungeon I entered was the main dungeon of the Sinfrienld Country." Mr. Smith.
Mr. Smith begins with the places, Nim knew that his town was in the Sinfrienld Country and this was in the Mana continent but there was not much information other than that, in the town's school they only taught how to write and read, although there were books with more information not all children were like Leo who liked to read.
The Sunflower Town was just one of many in the country.
Nim was excited to hear new information, and listened carefully so as not to miss a word.
In Mr. Smith's explanation, there was a great power called the Adventurer's Guild.
There was a large branch of the Adventurer's Guild in the capital city of the country, there were also other small guilds in the other cities of the country, but they were only branches of the capital.
When you joined the guild you were given an ID card, with which you could see your level and class.
You could also see how much experience you had and how much you needed to level up on that card.
Levels were something that appeared along with the dungeon, by killing monsters in the dungeon or outside of it you could level up, and if you met certain requirements you could acquire a class.
Mr. Smith himself had the swordsman class, the level system and the class system were separate, the latter was based on meeting a certain level and another requirement that depended on the class.
Theoretically, one could acquire a class at level 10 and rank up the class to level 20, but not everyone met the requirements for level 20 and their class did not rise, or even some less talented people did not acquire a class at level 10.
Also, every 10 levels the person's strength increased exponentially, but in the same way, rising to that new level put great pressure on the person's body and raising the class put great pressure on the mind.
When you acquired a class or raised one, you instantly acquired the skills of that class, when receiving too much information suddenly many collapsed mentally, some even suffered after-effects and were never the same again.
In fact, raising a level already put a certain pressure on the body and the higher they went it was even greater, even more so when reaching that dividing level of every 10 levels.
That is why many when they saw that they were about to level up looked for a safe place.
Many people, when they felt too much pressure leveling up, would stop leveling up, or they could even die from leveling up.
There were cases of people who had reached their level limit but wanted to take a step further and ended up dying.
Only the most talented people ignored that pressure and could reach a higher level.
Mr. Smith was not sure if he could safely level up to level 20, he had already felt difficulty when reaching level 19 several years ago.
So he had considered the option of stopping, many people had decided to do that and went to the guild, the guild had a way of making one no longer able to gain more experience by killing monsters.
Mr. Smith was not sure about that decision.
"With your strange Constitution you could be a great Warrior" Smith knew that the Warrior class was one of the most common. But with Nim's constitution it was the one that best suited him.
"We can talk about that later today I'll teach you some basic battle moves, but first let's see your capabilities" Mr. Smith stands up, Nim nods and does the same.
Mr. Smith lends him a wooden sword, "now come to me and try to attack me."
Nim with the wooden sword sees Mr. Smith in front looking at him calmly.
Nim squeezes the sword tightly and runs forward, with all his strength he tries to hit Mr. Smith with the sword.
The man takes a step back and dodges without much effort, Nim tries again and Mr. Smith also dodges.
After a round of attacks without success Nim steps back.
"Your speed is good" Mr. Smith was somewhat surprised by his speed "now we will see your strength" Mr. Smith grabs another wooden sword.
"Come" Mr. Smith tells Nim.
Nim runs again towards Mr. Smith and with his sword he collides with the other sword.
Mr. Smith feels his arm shake when he receives the impact. Mr. Smith opens his eyes in surprise.
This great strength was not something a child had. In the midst of these thoughts, he sees Nim attacking again.
Thump thump!!
After 4 more hits, his arm began to go numb.
Seeing this, Mr. Smith was thinking about stopping the fight when he sees Nim smile. The smile was one of enjoyment.
Mr. Smith looks at this strangely. Suddenly, the strength of Nim's next blow increases. This blow almost makes the sword in his hand fall.
(What) In the midst of surprise, Mr. Smith steps back a little, then sees Nim chasing him, this time Nim's blow is from another angle.
(He is faster) Mr. Smith notices with surprise this other change.
Seeing this, Mr. Smith also attacks and intercepts the incoming attack with his sword.
Nim collides with this attack and is thrown back a few steps, staggering.
Mr. Smith, seeing this, runs towards Nim and waves his sword from above.
Faced with the sudden attack, Nim can only raise his sword and protect himself, the blow falls and the force of the blow makes both of his arms tremble.
"Good reflexes" Smith steps back and looks at his sword and Nim's, he sees that the swords are very damaged, very close to breaking "we will stop for now."
Nim nods and begins to calm his breathing, although this battle did not tire him, he would comply with Mr. Smith's orders.
After that battle, Smith sent Nim to bring another pair of practice swords, Nim ran to the village storehouse and brought the swords.
They did not have any more practice battles during the day, Mr. Smith only taught him basic sword movements to get him used to it.
Although Nim was very strong physically, he did not have any technique when attacking with the sword.
That was why the Smith had decided to start with that.
After several hours, the sun began to set and dusk arrived.
"Nim did you feel anything unusual in the battle we had?" Mr. Smith still remembered Nim's sudden increase in strength.
Nim who had already stopped practicing answers "I did not feel anything unusual, why do you ask Mr. Smith?" Nim did not know what Mr. Smith was referring to.
"Something strange or some feeling?" Smith continued.
"Feeling... at that moment I felt very excited even... happy" Nim answers honestly remembering that feeling.
"Happy..." Mr. Smith listens to that answer with some concern.
If Nim really felt happiness or enjoyment when fighting, he feared that he would become a very warlike or even bloodthirsty person.
Also, the sudden increase in strength must probably come from that feeling.
Mr. Smith realizes that he may be training a little monster, who might become a great adventurer or be the ruin of many people.
