Chapter 123: Chapter 123: You Inherited All of Garp's Dementia!
"You absolute moron, Dragon! You started a rebellion without even picking a name?!"
"How hard is it to come up with one?!"
"Isn't your goal to overthrow the current World Government and build a harmonious society?"
"That's literally what a revolution is! Revolution means tearing down the old and creating the new!"
"I'm speechless. You really inherited all your father, Garp's senility!"
Hammer was this close to losing it. For a second, he doubted if this was even the same Dragon in the manga he read.
The supposed brilliant, fearsome, and badass leader of the revolutionary army, what he got instead was… this.
"Revolution.... Revolutionary Army!"
"That's right! Hammer, my dear friend, you truly are a blessing on my path forward!"
"From now on, we are the Revolutionary Army! HAHAHA!"
While Hammer was getting a headache, Dragon was absolutely thrilled.
'Revolutionary Army, what a great name! Perfect!'
Even Ivankov gave Hammer a look of shock.
"N-fufufu! Unbelievable, Hammer-boy, you really have the world in your heart. Coming up with such a profound name!"
"No wonder Dragon considers you his close friend! N-fufufu!"
Now Hammer was even more dumbfounded.
'What the hell? Damn it, I just said that off the top of my head...'
He was completely stunned. He really had just said it casually. He only knew the name Revolutionary Army because of the manga...
"Alright! My dear friend, from now on, my organization will be called the Revolutionary Army!"
"Since you named it for me, I was actually planning to beat you up after taking your money... but I'll let it slide! Hahahaha!"
Hammer: "....."
"You what? You were gonna beat me up?! Take my money and still beat me? Dragon, you're a real piece of work."
"Even Garp's dog isn't as dog-like as you."
Dragon completely ignored Hammer's angry rants, his head filled with excitement about the new name.
Now that the issue that had been bothering him was solved, Dragon was so happy that he hugged Hammer.
Even Ivankov came over and said he wanted to hug Hammer, too.
Unable to stand the two's "enthusiasm," Hammer activated his ability, shattered the ground, and escaped at light speed back to his ship, the Warhammer.
At the same time...
Crocodile was in the lounge. Just as she was plotting how to take Hammer out, her body suddenly trembled, and she started shaking uncontrollably.
"What's... happening to me???"
"Ugh..."
A strange sensation surged through her body, bringing her to her knees.
A faint pink mist started to radiate from her skin.
"Pink mist... That damn okama's Devil Fruit ability..."
The mist she released didn't dissipate. It slowly wrapped around her.
No one knows how long it lasted until a voice broke the silence.
"Hah... Hah... I don't know why, but I've really turned back this time!"
As the mist faded, a cool and handsome man re-emerged.
"Hammer, just you wait. I'll crush you and end you!"
"But for now… Time to rebuild my crew. Warlord of the Sea? Hah…"
Far enough from Hammer, Crocodile had turned back into a man and was filled with emotion.
Hammer returned to the Warhammer, and for the first time, he felt like the deck was scalding hot.
But just as he stepped onto the deck, a scream echoed through the entire ship.
"What the hell! Why did I change back again?!"
Hammer immediately recognized the voice. "Wait... Isn't that Crocodile?"
He vanished from sight with a Soru and raced toward the source of the voice.
Shirley and Lance were also running over.
The three of them exchanged glances at the lounge door. Finally, Hammer pushed it open.
Inside, Crocodile was wildly flailing her hands, still locked in sea stone cuffs, muttering, "Why? Why?!"
"Hey, Crocodile, what's wrong with you?"
Hammer asked with confusion, totally clueless about what was going on.
Suddenly, Crocodile seemed to realize something and lunged at Hammer, grabbing his collar.
"It's you! The moment you came back, I transformed again!"
"I have to get away from you! If I can stay away, I'll go back to normal!"
That left Hammer completely stunned.
'What? Leaving him restores the body?'
'Wait a minute... He had just left the Warhammer earlier.'
'Could it be...?'
A light flickered in Hammer's eyes, and he eagerly asked:
"You mean, when I left earlier, you turned back into a man?"
Crocodile didn't hesitate and nodded furiously. His face turned even more twisted.
"Damn you, Hammer! I need to STAY AWAY from you!"
"Fine, I'll join the Warlord! The condition is you stay far, far away from me!"
Hammer was speechless. 'What the hell was this? So this weird transformation has a range limit now???'
But then again, if he could use this to make Crocodile obediently join the Shichibukai, that might actually be a good deal.
Thinking it over, Hammer felt it was a solid plan.
"Fine, I promise, as long as you behave as a Warlord, I've got better things to do than bother you."
Crocodile nodded frantically.
Hammer then dumped Crocodile in Mock Town and handed her the key to the sea stone cuffs.
Then he sailed off on the Warhammer.
Once he was far away, Crocodile curled up on the ground as the transformation happened again.
In just a few breaths, the domineering woman vanished, replaced once more by the stern man with the slicked-back hair.
Exhausted, Crocodile slowly stood up, gritting his teeth.
"That damned bastard... I need to stay far away from him."
"Warlord of the Sea… Hmph. With this title, I'll never have to see him again."
To clear his head, Hammer decided not to return to headquarters just yet. He planned to take a little trip around the Four Blue, starting with the West Blue.
"Lance, you're from West Blue, right? Got any cool places to visit?"
For once, Hammer wasn't smithing. He stood on the deck, enjoying the sea breeze.
Mentioning West Blue brought a touch of nostalgia to Lance.
"Yeah, I'm from West Blue. I used to be stationed at Branch 478, near the Kano Country. That branch was mostly set up to monitor the Happo Navy."
"Living conditions in West Blue are pretty harsh, almost as bad as the North Blue."
"But the biggest issue in West Blue isn't even the Happo Navy. They're strong, sure, but the real chaos comes from the Mafia."
'Mafia, huh?' The first thing Hammer thought of was the cigar-smoking dwarf who'd become one of the Supernovas in the future.
"My hometown's just a small town called Yule Town, part of the Bash Kingdom, one of the World Government's allied nations. Looks peaceful on the surface, but behind the scenes, it's ruled by two of the Five Great Mafia Families of West Blue: the Vant Family and the Florence Family."
After listening, Hammer had a better understanding of West Blue. The original manga barely touched on it, so he had to ask the locals.
"Alright then, let's head to the Bash Kingdom. Time to take a stroll, and give you a hero's homecoming, hahaha."
Lance gave him a look, a full-on "you idiot" kind of look.
With their course set, the Warhammer surged through the waves toward the Bash Kingdom.
