Jason Monroe sat in his car outside Indigo Design, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

Across the city, Charles Baker sat in his study, speaking into his phone.

"Darren, my patience is running thin."

Darren King's voice was lazy, amused. "Then stop waiting."

Charles gritted his teeth. "I need something. Anything on Alexander."

Darren chuckled. "Good luck with that."

Charles slammed his hand on the desk. "I can make it worth your while."

Darren smirked. "You think if i want Alexander out of my way now, i will need you help? Please."

Charles inhaled sharply.

Darren was playing games.

But Charles wasn't a man who liked to lose.

If he couldn't convince Darren—

He would find another way.

Even if it meant crossing a line he couldn't come back from.

Frederick placed a file on Alexander's desk.

"Charles is getting reckless."

Alexander picked up the file, flipping through the pages.

"Desperation makes men do foolish things."

Frederick smirked. "Should we let him dig his own grave?"

Alexander's eyes glinted.

"Not yet."

His fingers tapped against his desk.

"But when the time comes… I'll bury him myself."
