Chapter 172: Chapter 172: The Throne

Any area that came into contact with the intense heat was instantly vaporized, a testament to the sheer temperature.

"Run!"

Seizing the chaos, the Sea God took off, not looking back.

Just as he fled, Han Yu's Storm Battle Axe hurtled toward him from behind.

The Sea God hastily activated the teleporter that the purple yam-headed figure had previously given him. As the portal opened, he dove in. But in the split second before the portal closed, the battle axe struck, slicing a massive chunk from his right shoulder, severing his arm, which fell to the ground.

The Sea God's agonized screams echoed before the portal shut completely.

"Galacta, clean this up!" Han Yu ordered.

Galacta nodded, opening her rosy lips. Before the extreme heat and cold could spread further, she absorbed every bit of the energy, leaving nothing behind.

After finishing, she even let out a satisfied burp.

Meanwhile, the ships surrounding Asgard began exploding one by one, as a dark green flash darted among them. Each time the flash left a ship, it erupted in flames. In less than three minutes, all the enemy ships had been reduced to a spectacular display of fireworks.

The remaining warriors within Asgard watched in stunned silence. Their expressions turned blank.

They had lost—completely.

Even their Sea God had fled. There was no hope of turning the tide.

One by one, they dropped their weapons and knelt. The Asgardian warriors quickly surrounded them, taking them into custody.

"How could you let him escape? That guy will come back for revenge sooner or later," Hela remarked coldly, glancing at the severed, bloodied arm left behind by the Sea God. Unfazed by the gore, she turned her reproachful gaze to Han Yu.

Han Yu shrugged. "Who'd have thought he'd use Frost Giants and Fire Giants as shields? I didn't expect him to be this ruthless."

He then turned to Galacta, gently patting her head with a grin. "So, how was the meal?"

"Not bad, not bad. Pretty satisfying," Galacta replied, patting her flat stomach with a look of contentment.

"See? I told you staying with me means you'll always get good food. No need to waste time catching dragons all the time—it's such a hassle," Han Yu teased.

"True, true. But does that mean it's time to settle this round's payment?" Galacta asked playfully, her eyes curving like crescent moons.

"You're such a foodie."

Han Yu shook his head helplessly, his gaze suddenly shifting to a spot not far ahead—there lay the long handle of the Sea God's trident.

With a casual wave, the handle flew into his hand. Weighing it, he murmured, "Interesting. Just the weight of this handle is no joke—must be over a hundred thousand pounds."

The weight alone was enough to crush an ordinary person. Even someone like Thor wouldn't dare take a direct hit from it. Only someone as terrifyingly strong as Galacta, with her monstrous appetite, could casually break it into pieces and treat it like a snack.

"What's this? Are you planning to smelt this thing for me too?"

Galacta's eyes sparkled with excitement. She had just tasted the head of the trident and found it utterly delectable. Seeing Han Yu holding the weapon, she was eager to take another bite.

Han Yu pressed his finger against Galacta's forehead, pushing her back gently while moving the trident's shaft to the other side. "Don't even think about it," he said. "I plan to repurpose this into something else."

Such a fine staff would be wasted if devoured by Galacta. Han Yu intended to refine it into a new weapon.

He would call it...

The Ruyi Jingu Bang!

After storing the trident's shaft in his inventory, Han Yu fell silent, his gaze lifting to meet Hela's. He said nothing, but the meaning in his eyes was clear.

Hela understood immediately, a playful smirk gracing her elegant face. "What's this? Are you planning to send me back to Helheim now? I won't agree to that."

Han Yu shook his head, walked over to Thor, and said, "This is your family matter. It's up to you to handle it."

Thor already knew about Hela's identity—Loki had told him everything. Discovering that he had an elder sister came as a shock to him. On one hand, he was astonished to have a sister at all. On the other, he was surprised that she was even willing to help Asgard.

If it were him in Hela's place, Thor would have returned to Asgard by force.

What Thor didn't know was that, without Han Yu's intervention, Hela's return to Asgard indeed would have been by force—and in the original timeline, it cost him an eye.

Thor's past experiences had been nothing short of tragic. But now, thanks to Han Yu's involvement, the God of Thunder hadn't suffered such losses.

Han Yu handed a Senzu Bean to Thor. Thor thanked him and ate it. In mere moments, his wounds began to heal before their eyes.

Hela and Galacta were dumbfounded.

"What is this thing?" they wondered, amazed by its ridiculous healing properties. They'd seen impressive medicines before, but nothing like this.

From their perspective, Thor's injuries should have taken at least half a month to heal. Yet here he was, fully recovered in less than ten seconds. If such an item were sold in the galactic market, it would undoubtedly cause chaos.

Seeing Thor's recovery, Hela narrowed her eyes. She was already prepared for battle and would strike if anything seemed off.

Thor looked at Hela for a moment, then sighed deeply. "The throne of Asgard... you can have it. I don't want it. Or rather, I'm not ready to claim it."

His words shocked Loki.

Was this really Thor speaking?

Thor, who had always craved the throne, had fought tirelessly to prove himself worthy in Odin's eyes. The same Thor who used to yearn for the crown so much that he would endlessly fight battles to gain recognition?

Loki had once opposed Thor's ambitions, vying for the throne himself. But now, after seeing Thor's dedication to Asgard, Loki was the first to support his brother if he chose to become king.

So, when Thor uttered those words, Loki was the most surprised of all.

Hela frowned slightly. "Why? Your brother told me you're obsessed with the throne."

Thor shot a glance at Loki, who looked awkward, clearly having spoken ill of him in front of Hela. He then turned back to Hela and said, "That was true, once. But that was the old me. Right now, I'm not ready to be Asgard's king."

The self-deprecating tone in his voice made Loki feel as if Thor had been replaced by someone else. He instinctively reached out to pinch Thor's face, just to make sure this wasn't an illusion.
