Chapter 370: 370 Dormammu, I Brought You a Gift
Crossing through the black rift in the sky, Kagura stepped into the Dark Dimension.
Entering this alien world through a gaping void in the sky felt disturbingly like walking into the mouth of some monstrous beast. An eerie, unsettling sensation crept over her.
Mmm...
Like a lamb walking into a tiger's den?!
Whoa—creepy!
Fortunately, the merger between the Dark Dimension and the real world had already begun, and the barrier between the two realms had grown thin.
So when Kagura and Stephen Strange broke away from the Ancient One, they encountered no resistance as they slipped into the Dark Dimension.
To Dormammu, the Earth was already in the palm of his hand—soon to be fully assimilated.
There was no need for extra defenses.
"Whoa... still, this place is seriously freaky…"
Kagura had heard about the Dark Dimension's endless, oppressive darkness.
She'd even seen it in the MCU films.
But now, standing in it for real, she couldn't help but feel the weight of it.
Endless black stretched toward a place known only as Eternity.
There were no planets here.
Instead, countless corroded and broken spherical masses drifted in space—fragments from devoured universes.
They resembled magnified viruses or cells under an electron microscope, forming a massive, tangled web across the abyss.
Strange.
Grotesque.
Indescribable.
In this pitch-black dimension, only the glow of eldritch power provided illumination.
While countless shattered worlds suffered an eternal purgatory, that eerie glow faintly lit this cold, hopeless realm.
It was like staring into that mythical "colorful darkness."
————————————————————————
After some time flying, Kagura Hitomi and Stephen Strange landed on a patch of shattered rock—remnants of a once-living world, now reduced to mere debris by dark arcane forces.
They walked to the edge of the jagged terrain and stared into the endless void, waiting for Dormammu to appear.
'Wooooom...'
A deep, reverberating hum echoed from the far reaches of the dimension.
The space in front of them began to warp.
A massive face emerged—so vast, it blended with the very fabric of the cosmos.
Slowly, two enormous, menacing eyes opened, radiating a terrifying power as they locked onto the two tiny intruders before them.
Dormammu had arrived.
"Dormammu!" Stephen Strange stepped forward boldly. "I've come to bargain!"
"To bargain? Ridiculous!"
Dormammu's voice rumbled as if it came from the space around them itself, shaking them to the core.
"Mortals, your future holds only death. I've already seen through your pathetic time-loop trick!"
As he spoke, countless green tendrils of eldritch power snaked toward Strange.
Dormammu's overwhelming power ensnared him and the Time Stone at his chest in an instant.
"I foresaw this little charade. I won't fall for it, human."
It seemed the Ancient One had been right.
In this version of the universe, Dormammu already knew that Doctor Strange would try to trap him in an endless time loop to force a deal and save Earth.
So instead of playing into the plan, Dormammu neutralized Strange's power before the loop could even begin.
And as long as Dormammu didn't kill him, the spell wouldn't activate.
Which meant not only would Earth remain doomed, but the Sorcerer Supreme would be forever imprisoned in the Dark Dimension.
A complete disaster.
"Time, time, time…" Dormammu dangled Strange upside-down like a toy, sneering.
"I exist beyond time! The Dark Dimension is beyond time! Time is meaningless here. All that exists... is eternity!"
"Man, what a... miserably sad place," Strange replied, still defiant. "You sure you don't want some time in your life? Kagura and I brought a little gift for your universe, after all."
"Silence, insect."
Dormammu didn't even try to understand his words. "You two cannot defeat me. You won't leave this place. You'll watch as I consume the world you hold dear!"
With that, Dormammu ripped the Eye of Agamotto from Strange's chest and wrapped it in crushing dimensional energy.
"I am the master of this universe. My power is beyond comprehension. I can destroy even the Infinity Stones if I choose!"
"Oh... that's really unfortunate," Strange muttered. "That thing was pretty expensive, you know."
"Your words are meaningless!"
'CRACK!'
Dormammu crushed the Eye of Agamotto in an instant, shattering it into glimmering fragments.
"…Huh?"
But as soon as he destroyed it, Dormammu froze.
Something felt… off.
"Wait a minute… This isn't the Time Stone."
Dormammu didn't fear the Time Stone, nor did he care for its power.
But he knew what kind of energy it should release upon destruction—and this wasn't it.
There had been no significant energy discharge.
Which meant…
The Eye of Agamotto was a fake.
So where was the real Time Stone?
Just as Dormammu was trying to figure it out, a wave of brilliant green light burst outward—flooding the entire Dark Dimension with something entirely new:
The concept of time.
"Whew… Who would've thought a simple trick like that would fool the mighty Dormammu?"
From the moment they arrived, Kagura had suppressed her presence, using full-spectrum electromagnetic cloaking to remain invisible.
Now, she finally revealed herself, stepping forward with a sly grin.
"So, how do you like the little gift I brought to your world?"
"You... what did you do?!" Dormammu was stunned.
He felt a strange shift in his dimension—but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Something just felt... wrong.
Kagura raised her right hand.
Nestled in the vibranium glove of her White Moon combat suit, the real Time Stone floated silently, glowing with a soft, emerald light.
"Nothing much," she said calmly.
"I just activated the Time Stone's true power—granting your entire dimension the concept of time. It was the original purpose of the Time Stone, after all."
At the dawn of the universe, the Infinity Stones were born from the Big Bang.
Each one bestowed fundamental properties upon reality.
The Time Stone gave birth to the very flow of time itself.
"And now..." Kagura gently closed her fingers around the glowing gem. "Lord Dormammu, are you ready... to travel into the future with me?"
