"This place looks like it's been abandoned for a long time."
Natasha glanced at the dusty desk and the thick layers of dust on the floor, then asked Arthur, "Is there really something we need here?"
"I hope so."
Arthur wasn't entirely sure, but whether it was here or not, they had to come to this place.
Natasha shrugged. "Well, I'm with you no matter what."
She tightened her grip on Arthur's hand, but this reminded Arthur, so without making it obvious, he let go of her hand. The Eye of Horus moved quickly, scanning the surrounding environment.
Then, with Natasha looking a little uneasy, they reached an empty filing cabinet.
A gust of wind howled through the gap between the cabinet doors.
Arthur and Natasha exchanged a glance before opening the cabinet, revealing a door behind it.
"No surprises there."
Natasha shook her head, her gaze on the combination lock on the right side.
She took out a phone from her pocket, which looked distinctly out of place for the current era… well, that detail wasn't important.
In this world, the term "era" no longer distinctly defines the advancement of technology.
After scanning it, Natasha easily retrieved the four-digit code, entered it, and the elevator doors opened.
The two of them entered the elevator and descended for a short while. Arthur then asked, "Can the signal jammer cover this place?"
"Of course."
Natasha replied, "Even if you put it at the entrance, this place would still be within its coverage."
"The rapid advancement of technology always leaves an old relic like me in awe."
Arthur said, self-deprecatingly.
Natasha glanced at him. "Apart from your fashion sense, you're actually very much in tune with this era."
"Is that a compliment?" Arthur asked, curious.
"Choose what you believe in. I think it's the best for you," Natasha said with a smile.
After walking a few more steps, an enormous space appeared before them.
Natasha looked around and couldn't help but say, "This is really from an ancient era..."
Before them was a massive computer, and on the desk, there was a device with a connection port that seemed completely out of place with the computer.
Arthur glanced at it but didn't pay much attention.
It was Natasha who carefully examined it and said, "Looks like activating this computer requires… something more specific."
"It's fine," Arthur replied. "Our purpose here isn't to activate the computer."
"I thought the things you wanted would be stored here?"
Natasha was a bit surprised.
Arthur sighed softly. "If that's the case, it would probably be the worst outcome."
The next second, he closed his eyes.
"Are you closing your eyes because you don't want to look at me?" Natasha asked.
"No, I'm looking for something."
"It seems like there's a third pair of eyes here. Is this the secret to how you can easily infiltrate all these heavily guarded facilities?"
Natasha's curiosity was always piqued.
At that moment, Arthur opened his eyes. "Found it."
"So quickly?" Natasha was surprised. Seeing Arthur walk in a different direction, she hurried to follow.
In a corner of the hall, under a box, Arthur dug up a floor tile.
"Although I don't want to seem too curious, how is it that you can stand there, close your eyes, and find things hidden in such obscure places? Are you sure this isn't something you hid yourself?"
Natasha looked completely confused.
Arthur rubbed his forehead, which felt like it was about to explode. In that brief moment, The Eye of Horus was pushed to its limit.
It was far more intense than when he had used it on the Kree spaceship to locate their 'queen'.
At this moment, Arthur even felt dizzy and nauseous... but he held it in and just said, "You'll never be able to imagine what I just did."
"I may not know exactly what you did, but why do I feel like this ability of yours is extremely dangerous?"
"Dangerous?" Arthur froze. Under the floor tile, there was an iron box. He pulled it out and, a little dazed, asked, "Why would this ability be dangerous?"
"Is it... a kind of sight or perception?" Natasha asked. "Can it see through things?"
"It can," Arthur answered calmly. "But it's not the usual kind of x-ray vision. No one can detect it, so no one knows that I'm looking."
Natasha's expression became quite curious. Her pupils slightly dilated, and she looked at him as if in surprise as if thinking, I didn't expect you to be that kind of person.
Arthur sighed helplessly. "Trust me, I wouldn't use it in the women's locker room."
"I trust you." Natasha nodded with certainty.
"...You trust me that easily? Why do I feel so strange?" Arthur was shocked.
"If you'd ignore the free show, do you think I would believe that you'd go through all this trouble for something like that?" Natasha rolled her eyes dramatically.
Arthur scratched his chin. While opening the box in his hands, he said, "In fact, rather than worrying about me, you should be more concerned about someone from Asgard— a black warrior in golden armor."
"Who's that?"
"Heimdall."
Arthur said, "He can see everything he wants to see and hear everything he wants to hear. So, he's far more reliable than any wireless signal. If I wanted, he could open a Bifrost right now and take us straight to Asgard."
"It seems he has most of the abilities that men dream of." Natasha blinked and said, "But the more someone has those kinds of abilities, the less they'd be interested in seeing things that others can't see, right?"
"Can we drop that topic?"
Arthur looked at the strange-looking USB drive in the box and frowned slightly. "This thing... regular computers probably can't decode it."
"Did you bring a computer?" Natasha asked.
Arthur activated his wristband and said, "Just this."
"Tony's product?" Natasha remarked. "He always has some new, interesting, and fun things, but unfortunately, my relationship with him isn't the best."
A red light scanned the port and established a wireless connection.
The next second, dozens of windows appeared before them.
Then, a red light flashed across the virtual screen, and the word "ERROR" in large letters almost blinded Arthur.
"Unable to decode."
He said this while looking at the equipment in front of the old computer, slightly curling his lip. "The worst outcome."
