"The taste is really impressive, better than any restaurant I've been to," Remy LeBeau said, wiping his mouth and giving Mike's cooking high praise.

Logan glanced down at the breakfast in front of him: milk, bread, bacon, and eggs...

He shot a look at Remy, his face contorted with disdain. "Enough, already. There's a limit to how much flattery you can dish out. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were eating a five-star meal."

Clark and Erik quietly chuckled.

Mike, however, gave Remy a thumbs-up. "You've got taste!"

"Yeah, right. He's probably blind, and his eyes are stuck in his... well, let's not go there," Logan quipped, continuing to mock.

"Ha ha!"

Clark and Erik couldn't hold it in and laughed out loud, while Charles fought to keep a straight face, giving a thumbs-up. "He does have good taste."

"That's you, the support king!"

Clark and Erik exchanged exasperated glances, throwing Charles a look of contempt.

Mike, grinning, said, "Go outside and play."

The three boys nodded obediently, quickly cleaning up the table before heading out.

Watching them go, Logan couldn't help but look at Mike with a hint of envy. "Must be nice."

Mike gave a faint smile and casually chatted with the two of them.

Logan spoke nonchalantly about his years of experience: mercenary work, underground fight clubs, and being a truck driver...

For him, these years were just a brief chapter in a much longer life. While they may have been exciting for others, they hardly compared to the vastness of his existence.

Suddenly, the phone rang at Mike's house, interrupting their conversation.

The chatter stopped immediately.

Mike answered, "Hello?"

"Mike! It's Howard!"

Howard Stark's voice was heavy, clearly filled with concern.

Mike's heart sank. "What happened?"

"Scott failed. He's injured and is currently in the hospital!"

"Is it serious?"

"There's no danger to his life."

Mike let out a relieved sigh. "Where is he? I'll head over right away."

Howard gave him an address.

Mike hung up the phone and turned to Logan and Remy. "Things just got complicated."

Logan let out a scoff. "I was already prepared for this."

"Give me a moment. I need to talk to Clark and the others."

Mike spoke as he quickly headed toward the door.

Luckily, Clark and the others hadn't gone far. Mike called them over, and after they returned home, he ushered them into his room.

Mike looked at the three boys with a serious expression. "There's something I need to tell you."

Clark's concern was evident. "Are you leaving again, Dad?"

"To save someone?" Erik added quickly.

Charles, his brow furrowed in worry, asked, "Is it dangerous?"

Three pairs of bright eyes fixed on Mike, full of unease.

Mike paused for a moment, then nodded solemnly.

The three boys lowered their heads, processing the news.

Mike forced a smile, pulling all three of them into a hug. "Don't worry, I'll be back. I promise."

The boys remained silent.

Suddenly, Mike felt a warmth on his face, which quickly turned cold again.

Looking at Erik, he saw his eyes were blurred, tears falling down his face. "We can't help with anything."

Charles hugged Mike tightly, his soft sobs echoing, while Clark's eyes were filled with frustration.

"Heh..."

Mike smiled and gently hugged the boys again. "It's okay. This time, I'm not alone. Uncle Logan and the others will be with me."

"So... it's even more dangerous?" Charles wiped his tears, his worry deepening.

Mike leaned down and kissed Charles' forehead. "Don't worry."

After a few seconds, the boys' emotions seemed to calm. Then Clark spoke up. "Dad, can you tell us more about what's going on?"

Mike thought for a moment before responding. "Someone is trying to release a virus, one that could cause massive casualties."

So this is what his father had to face?

Clark bit his lip, clenching his fist. "Are they really that strong?"

Mike smiled at the three of them. "You'll be stronger than them in the future."

"Alright, I have to leave now. You'll be okay here, right?" Mike asked, concerned. "If not, I'll have Mary..."

"No problem!"

The three boys responded in unison.

"Are you really okay with this?"

"Yeah, it's fine."

Mike smiled with reassurance, ruffling each of their heads one by one before turning to open the door and walk out.

Once Mike left, Charles and Erik looked at Clark. "Bro, what are we eating?"

"Don't worry, I'll make it."

"You can cook?"

"Well, I should be able to. It looks pretty simple."

"..."

The two of them started worrying about the upcoming meals.

A few minutes later, Mike got into Logan's car, and the two of them quickly drove off.

---

In New York, at a private hospital under the Stark Industries banner, inside a high-end hospital room.

Scott lay in bed, pale and unconscious, with his injuries still oozing blood. He looked in a terrible state.

Peggy Carter paced back and forth in the room, her face filled with anxiety and concern. On the other hand, Howard Stark seemed remarkably calm.

Peggy stopped walking. "What are we going to do next?"

"What's next?" Howard asked as he took a sip of the coffee the nurse had prepared for him, his eyes lighting up. "Well, first, we need to get Scott to wake up and see what happened."

Peggy Carter quickly responded, "Wake up? You heard what the doctor said! Scott is severely injured. Even though he's undergone surgery, it'll take time for him to wake up, and he still needs another operation!"

Scott had passed out before he could explain the situation clearly. By the time he woke up, it might be too late. Moreover, with Scott injured, they had lost one of their strongest fighters, which was what really worried Peggy.

Howard set down his coffee and said calmly, "Don't worry. Mike and the others are on their way. He'll handle it."

"Mike?" Peggy asked, confused. "Can he really wake Scott up?"

Howard gave a mysterious smile. "Wait until he gets here, and you'll understand."

Even now, as he thought back to the scene of green light wrapping around them, Howard could still clearly remember the warm sensation.

Peggy laughed at Howard's cryptic behavior, but a sense of calmness slowly replaced her earlier anxiety.

A moment later, a nurse pushed open the door to the room.

Both Howard and Peggy looked toward the door and smiled at Mike and the others as they entered. They stood up in greeting.

After Mike and the others entered the room, the nurse carefully closed the door behind them.

"Well, well, the White King of Hellfire? You look pretty rough."

Remy LeBeau remarked with a teasing tone, walking over to the window, leaning against the windowsill with an air of casual laziness.

"What's the plan now?"

He glanced at Howard.

Howard looked at Mike. "It's up to you now, Mike."

In that instant, all four pairs of eyes turned toward Mike.
