Chapter 7: 7-Future
'Well, that takes care of it… but what should I do now?'
'Got any ideas, Raphael?'
[The best option would be to sleep while I once again nourish your body with life energy. Since you can no longer access any magic or training at this stage, it's better for you to grow normally for a while—enjoy the time, bond with your family (mother and sister), and learn the basics of magic from your mom. Leave the rest to me.]
'Indeed… that's probably the only thing I can do right now. But there are some more things I need you to take care of for me.'
[Yes, master. Just tell me, and I will give my all.]
'You know those cultivation novels from my memories?'
[Yes, master. Do you want to start cultivating and making pills now?]
Yeah, that was a sarcastic question…
'Of course not. What I mean is that soul-body harmony stuff from those novels—I have been improved genetically, and this life energy nourishment is making my body stronger, but what about my soul? Although I don't know much about magic, I think it should be somewhat related to the soul. So, try to create and implement ways of making souls stronger.'
[.....That is an unexpectedly good idea from you, master. I had not thought of it before… but your divinity does help in making your soul stronger, especially the divinity of Wisdom. We can try from there; I will start detailed research on the subject. Anything else, master?]
'Hey, what do you mean by saying it like that? I am a fountain of good ideas—I have some even better ideas for you to work on, so get ready.'
[Oh... really? Pray tell then, master~]
'First off, start research into the creation of energy sources—like Tony Stark's Arc Reactor. But that alone won't cut it. I want an energy model capable of drawing energy from the quantum realm, and other sources, giving Asgard virtually infinite energy. That's the first step for proper technological advancement. After that, look for methods to convert this energy into one suitable for magic. I personally believe that this scientific energy can be converted into mystical energy.'
Yeah, I was a nerd, but now I can utilize my nerd dreams and ideas, so it turned out well, I guess.
'Kamar Taj relies on borrowing energy from cosmic entities like dimensional lords, but since they "borrow," they have to pay it back—which comes at a cost. If I can manage to convert normal energy into mystical energy, then I can not only arm all of Asgard with magic but also grant magic to others. I could borrow mystical energy to the likes of Kamar Taj —along with Vishanti or replacing them—gaining another powerful force and control over Earth. We can also create long-range weapons of mass destruction with energy, like the Bifrost. More firepower is always better; I don't feel safe until I have enough methods to destroy every civilization's headquarters without even moving a finger.'
Indeed, once I am strong enough to casually destroy any civilization, I might just destroy one to make others wary. This is an excellent strategy.
'And more than that, we need a separate branch of technology—something that could define Asgard. My answer is: Runes. Yes, we will study runes, simplify them, and circulate them. We will make runes something unique to Asgard, and implementing runes into technology is much easier. Rune-tech or magic-tech, whichever you want to call it, would define Asgard's military and civilizational prowess. We will enchant everything we make just for the sake of it, Asgardian goods shall have it's unique flavor'
[....I am not going to lie, but you have outdone yourself, master. I will start whatever I can right now, but since I don't have any information regarding it, we will have to wait. So, master, what made you take these decisions? I'm not questioning your interest in increasing the military capacity of Asgard—I'm just curious why, since getting stronger and conquering yourself is a much easier option for you, considering that if you play your cards right, you can easily become one of the strongest in the universe.]
'There are a lot of reasons, Raph—a lot. Re-watch the Thor movies first.'
[Did it, master.]
'Did you notice how insufferably weak the Asgardians were? Without Odin, they are too weak—so weak that they can't even be considered a noteworthy race without their gods. In Thor 2, a bunch of Dark Elf grunts took out Asgardian warriors so easily that it wasn't even funny; and in Thor 3, it took Hela seconds to annihilate the Aesir. Asgardians possess both magic and technology, yet they disregard it—considering it childish or merely the actions of normal men. But I want a strong military because I desire it, especially since I will be the one controlling it. It's like admiring fighter jets or tanks, but here, the entire arsenal is mine. Of course, my interest has grown exponentially. Heck, I'm even planning to improve and create a destroyer mass production line in the future, and, of course, spaceships. Even if we have the Bifrost, it doesn't matter—we need the best spaceships in the universe, and they should look the best. We also need to tweak the aesthetics a bit to make everything even better.'
[.....Well, the reason was just as I had expected. So, anything more you would like to add, master? Or is that it?]
'Yeah, there are some more… Ragnarök. We need to stop that, or at least ensure that even if it does happen, Asgard does not turn into a village. We would create new habitats and bases for ourselves, spread the Aesir further, and increase their population too… Should we include the Vanir as well? Let's wait until I get to know them better; their information is quite limited in both comics and movies.'
'But for starters, we can begin with energy and technology—enough to ensure that even if all gods disappear, the tech is still sufficient to place Asgard among the strongest in the future. We also need careful planning. I can't let Hela be sealed while Asgard completely denounces war. I need to keep it regulated, ensuring that the military is always a priority. '
[Master~, just say that you don't want your father to stop you from collecting your toys.....]
'Humph, it's for the greater good. And also, just because I like it, we have to make a name for myself in the universe—at least enough so that I won't have to introduce myself anywhere.'
[Your wishes are my commands, and I wish you all the best and you also have my support master, but for now, it's time for you to sleep.]
