Marvel: Infinite Personalities ;)

Chapter 170: The Seven-Class Scale

Since arriving in this world, Raymond created his own way to rank power levels.

Even though the Marvel world doesn't have a common system for strength or power levels, he made a personal scale to help himself tell the difference.

Based on the mutant classification system, he divided abilities into seven levels.

The first four levels were similar to the mutant power rankings and served as a useful reference.

Of course, this world doesn't have absolute strength. Whether it's mutants or other powered people, there are always cases where weaker ones beat stronger ones, or turn the tables.

But most of the time—unless there's a counter in powers or someone gets careless—the one with the higher level usually has a clear advantage.

For example, Magneto almost never loses against mutants below level four.

Above level four, though, things change.

The gap in power among level five mutants is huge. The weaker ones—like Apocalypse just after waking up in the X-Men movies—and the stronger ones, who can restart the multiverse, are all considered level five.

That gap is so big that mutant standards can't be used past level four.

Raymond took the early version of Apocalypse from the X-Men movies as the benchmark for level five.

He could beat a top-level four like Magneto one-on-one, but he wouldn't be able to instantly defeat him. If a group of strong level fours teamed up, they could still give him a tough fight.

Doctor Strange in his battle with Thanos in the MCU would also count as level five.

As for level six, that would be Thanos without the Infinity Gauntlet or Heart of the Universe.

In other words, level six is almost at Skyfather level.

Level seven needs no explanation—it is Skyfather level.

And whether they're a strong Skyfather or a weak one, Raymond doesn't care. There's no point thinking about that now.

Because no matter what kind of Skyfather it is—they're all unbeatable to someone like him right now.

Based on his current scale, most of his silver sub-personalities fall between top level four and low level five. None of them are true level fives yet.

The only exception is the John Constantine sub-personality, which is unstable and impossible to judge.

The same goes for people like Captain America—classic "fifty-fifty" fighters who can't really be measured with any system.

Still, for most cases and most powered beings, Raymond's scale works well enough.

As for Thor—since he hasn't gone through any transformation or inherited the Odinforce—Raymond figures he's probably around level four, just like Red Devil.

Even if he pushed himself with a burst of power, at most he could fight a level five briefly—and might not even win.

But what about Malekith?

The leader of the Dark Elves—Malekith—was no ordinary figure. He had once led his people to rule over all Nine Realms, and had gone toe-to-toe with Bor, Thor's grandfather and the first king of Asgard. That made him a true Skyfather-level powerhouse.

Even if Dark Elves didn't grow stronger with age like Asgardians did, Malekith at his peak was still undeniably Skyfather class.

Saying Thor in his current form could beat him sounded ridiculous to Raymond.

It was like an ant saying it could trip an elephant.

Raymond didn't care how it was portrayed in the MCU—in this world, he didn't believe such an outcome was possible, unless Thor had already inherited the Odinforce.

Of course, there was another possibility: Malekith's power might be limited in the main universe.

That wasn't unheard of. For example, Dormammu couldn't fully enter this world either. Since Malekith was also a Skyfather-level being, it was entirely possible that he too had some kind of restriction here.

"But even if Malekith's full form does arrive, there's still the Ancient One. With her around, he won't be able to do much. It's not my problem to worry about..." As the hazy image of the Ancient One flashed in Raymond's mind, he felt much more at ease.

So far, this world's Ancient One, while also a woman like in the MCU, was clearly different.

For example—her face was impossible to remember, and she didn't rely on stealing Dormammu's power to stay alive.

"So, any idea how to find her?" Tony's voice snapped Raymond out of his thoughts.

"I can't promise anything, but I'll give it a try…" Raymond thought for a moment and answered seriously.

Since this world was clearly different from the MCU, he couldn't assume Jane Foster would come back on her own like in the movie.

However, the similarities meant there was a good chance her disappearance was caused by something like an extra-dimensional pocket space.

And luckily, among Raymond's sub-personalities, he had an expert perfect for this kind of problem.

He closed his eyes.

His consciousness instantly jumped across the world.

<Kamar-Taj>

The John Constantine sub-personality was lying comfortably in a bamboo chair, sunbathing lazily while flipping through a magic book at lightning speed.

His laid-back attitude stuck out like a sore thumb.

On the other side of the courtyard, Kaecilius, who was meditating, glanced over with irritation. Unable to hold it in anymore, he walked up to the Ancient One and said in a low voice:

"Master, are you really not going to stop him? The new students are getting upset watching him laze around like that..."

The Ancient One slowly opened her eyes and smiled.

"Stop him? But John isn't my disciple, nor does he want to join Kamar-Taj. I have no right to tell him what to do—you know that, don't you?"

"But he's studying our spells!" Kaecilius clearly didn't accept this.

"I told you—it's a trade. His knowledge of magic has given me many insights. I promised him he could freely study anything here—aside from forbidden spells."

"Master, aren't you exaggerating a bit? Him? Teaching you something?"

"Don't judge by appearances. John may look undisciplined, but his understanding and talent in magic… may not be any lower than mine."

"You're being too humble…"

Kaecilius looked completely helpless as the Ancient One said something so absurd.

In his eyes, John Constantine was nothing but a fraud. He didn't act like a sorcerer at all.
