Marvel: My Luck Is A Hundred Million Points Better!

Chapter 112: Chapter 112 Let’S Eat!

Even though Luo Bai could synchronize his consciousness with the fairy power and control it, the inherent hunger of the fairy power would not disappear. It needed a constant supply of energy to sustain itself.

By absorbing these energies, the fairy power could not only partially satisfy its hunger but also grow stronger.

However, Luo Bai couldn't simply follow the will of the fairy power and recklessly devour planets.

Doing so would not only attract the attention of multiple gods across the multiverse but also make him an instant "public enemy."

So, he had to find another solution.

And what better choice than the "villains"?

The lords of the Dark Dimension… were naturally the best candidates.

After all, they were both powerful and undeniably evil.

At first, Luo Bai had been concerned—he didn't exactly have a legitimate reason to act.

After all, as the Sorcerer Supreme, he was supposed to uphold "peace and love."

If word got out that he was actively provoking other dimensions without reason, people might think the Sorcerer Supreme had turned dark.

But now?

He didn't know whether it was fate or sheer luck, but these Dark Dimension lords were practically coming to him one after another…

Even the fairy power itself seemed overwhelmed: "I can't finish it! I can't finish it at all!!"

Initially, it thought it would starve after being unsealed, but after finding the right host… it was feasting daily!

At this moment, Luo Bai could already feel the fairy power's excitement—it was eagerly anticipating Chthon's arrival.

And while Luo Bai, as the host, was also quite pleased, he had to restrain his joy in front of Wanda's serious expression.

Suppressing his excitement, he gently reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll stay in the villa with you for a while until Quicksilver is rescued."

Of course, what he truly meant was—

I'll stay here until the moment Chthon arrives and gets devoured by Earth.

But Wanda, unaware of his true thoughts, assumed he was staying because he cared about her and was deeply concerned about her brother.

Seeing Luo Bai so devoted, Wanda was genuinely moved.

"I've been living here for a while now, and the one thing Lorna talks about the most is you," Wanda said with a sigh. "At first, I didn't understand why she kept mentioning you, but now… I think I get it."

"It's really reassuring to have you here."

Hearing this, Luo Bai became curious and asked, "Does Lorna talk about me that often?"

Wanda nodded. "Yes, almost every day."

Luo Bai raised an eyebrow. "And what exactly does she say? She's not complaining about me, is she?" he asked playfully.

Before Wanda could answer, Polaris hurriedly interjected, "I—I didn't say anything!"

It was clear she didn't want Wanda to reveal their conversations.

Trying to steer the discussion away, she quickly added, "Really! I didn't say anything at all."

For a moment, Luo Bai thought Wanda would drop the subject. But then—

"She just said that you're really good to her," Wanda continued with a teasing smile. "That you're strong, and she admires you a lot. She hopes to become as powerful as you and earn your recognition."

Silence.

A somewhat awkward silence.

Polaris, who had been hoping to escape this conversation, was now frozen.

And just when she thought Wanda had reached her limit, she dropped another bomb—

"Oh, and she also told me that you used to think she was a wimp," Wanda added casually. "She was really sad about it for a long time."

"......"

Seeing that Wanda was about to say more, Polaris finally snapped.

She immediately tried to change the subject.

"A-Anyway! How's Quicksilver doing now?" she blurted out. "Chthon is using his body to descend to Earth, so it shouldn't cause him any harm, right?!"

To be honest, it was a terrible topic transition.

But Luo Bai decided to play along for her sake.

"No, Quicksilver isn't Chthon's target," Luo Bai reassured. "So he won't be harmed."

"That's good!" Polaris exhaled in relief. Then, trying to keep the conversation moving, she asked, "By the way… Master Luo Bai, do you know when Chthon will arrive on Earth? Quicksilver has been missing for a while now."

Luo Bai thought for a moment before muttering, "If my calculations are correct… in about two days."

"Is there anything we—The Justice League—need to do?" Polaris asked.

Luo Bai shook his head. "No need."

"Then..."

Polaris hesitated, seemingly out of things to ask.

After a long pause, she muttered, "I didn't realize there were so many powerful enemies in the multiverse… I need to train harder!"

Without another word, she turned and ran off.

"I'll go practice first!" she declared.

She practically bolted to her room, shutting the door behind her with a loud snap.

Her reaction was so quick and flustered that even Wanda was left confused.

"Why do I feel like she's… upset?" Wanda wondered aloud.

Luo Bai simply spread his hands, shrugged, and sighed. "Who knows? I'll go check on her."

Saying that, he headed toward Polaris' room.

Just as Luo Bai expected, she wasn't training at all.

She was sitting on the edge of the bed, lost in thought.

When she heard the door open, she instinctively turned around.

Upon seeing Luo Bai, she visibly panicked.

Desperately, she started rummaging through the bookshelf. "Where's that book…? Why can't I find it?" she muttered to herself, pretending to be busy.

But before she could distract herself further, Luo Bai spoke up.

"Actually, when I said those things before, I didn't mean to belittle you," he said. "I only wanted to push you to improve… Your abilities are far stronger than you think."

"I've always recognized your potential."

Polaris immediately stopped what she was doing and turned to face him, her eyes filled with anticipation.

"Really? Master Luo Bai, do you truly believe in me?" she asked eagerly.

Luo Bai nodded. "Of course. You have the ability to control magnetic fields—if you train properly, you'll become incredibly powerful."

His words stunned Polaris. She had assumed Luo Bai saw her as weak.

"I thought… Master Luo Bai, I thought you really looked down on me..." she admitted quietly, her voice tinged with disappointment.

Hearing this, Luo Bai felt a twinge of guilt.

Looking back, he had indeed been too harsh on her in the past.

Even though she had trespassed into his home without permission, she had been making up for it by taking care of household chores, showing her sincerity.

Realizing this, Luo Bai sighed and spoke sincerely.

"I admit, I was too hard on you before," he said. "I apologize."

Polaris immediately panicked.

"Master Luo Bai, you don't need to apologize!" she said hurriedly. "You've already helped me so much. I never meant to blame you. I just… feel like I'm not good enough..."

Before she could continue, Luo Bai interrupted.

"No, Lorna," he said firmly. "You are good enough. And I truly believe that your future is limitless."

Polaris was so moved by his words that she found herself speechless.

Ever since Polaris could remember, she had never truly been recognized by anyone.

She was hunted down and, like other mutants, considered a "threat" to society.

It seemed as if... everyone wanted to kill her, except for her friends who were on the run with her—and Luo Bai.

But Luo Bai was different from her friends.

Luo Bai was a mage. He didn't need to run. In fact, he was a well-known hero in Country M.

He was trusted and praised by everyone.

And yet, a powerful mage who stood in the light was willing to recognize her—a mutant who was seen as a "threat."

Thinking of this, Polaris became even more determined.

"Master Luo Bai, I won't let you down. I will accomplish something. I will change the way humans see mutants."

Polaris had always hoped for a future where people's attitudes toward mutants would shift.

Luo Bai understood her conviction. No matter where she was, Polaris would never waver from her original intentions.

And he supported her dream, but…

"Lorna, I support you in pursuing your goals. But I hope you won't become humanity's enemy," Luo Bai said.

The next moment, Polaris answered with determination, "I promise you, Master Luo Bai. You are the Sorcerer Supreme, and your duty is to protect Earth. I may not be a mage, but one day, I will lead all mutants to stand by your side and fight for your cause."

Luo Bai was momentarily stunned, unsure of how to respond.

But he had a vague feeling that Polaris had changed—because of him.

In the original timeline, Polaris would eventually follow in her father Magneto's footsteps, creating an underground mutant organization to wage war against both humans and the X-Men.

But now, she seemed to have a different purpose.

Although she might still establish an underground mutant group, she now appeared to be planning to unite them under Luo Bai's leadership instead.

So… was he altering the plot?

Forget it. He couldn't be bothered to care.

There were many powerful mutants out there. If Polaris could rally them and have them follow him, it wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Still, her words caught him off guard.

Thinking of this, he sighed and said, "To be honest, Lorna, I thought you'd have a problem with me making you work as a housekeeper. After all, having you do chores seems like a waste of your abilities."

Polaris shook her head and answered without hesitation, "Of course not! As long as I can stay by your side, I'll do anything."

Luo Bai didn't say much—just smiled and responded, "You have the house key. It's not like I'll never come back."

Polaris was momentarily stunned.

She seemed to understand… and yet, she didn't.

Her big eyes blinked in confusion, as if she wanted to ask something, but at that moment, Luo Bai suddenly sensed something unusual.

"Sithorn is here," Luo Bai muttered.

Polaris immediately tensed and asked urgently, "Has he arrived on Earth?"

Luo Bai nodded. "Yes. If nothing unexpected happens, he'll come here to find us."

"Then what should we do?" Polaris asked anxiously.

Luo Bai thought for a moment before calmly replying, "Call Wanda. Let's have dinner together."

Polaris: "???"

What the hell?

Dinner??

Was this really the time to have dinner?!

Polaris was completely baffled, but she still walked out the door and called Wanda to prepare the meal.

Meanwhile, Luo Bai simply walked out of his room, sat on the sofa, and waited for dinner.
