Marvel: Ned the Master of Mystic Arts

Chapter 98: Ned's Unyielding Battle Against Chaos!

"Zzzzap!"

Faced with the ferocious Chaos Energy Orb hurtling toward him, Ned didn't dodge. Instead, he confidently waved his hands, conjuring a shimmering portal right in front of him.

The Red Magic Stone, manipulating Wanda and seemingly empowered by the projection of the Darkhold, was indeed overwhelming.

However, as a master of portal magic from Kamar-Taj, Ned absolutely loved redirecting energy attacks. Portals were his bread and butter—his way of flipping the battlefield in his favor.

"Buzz!"

Just as Ned believed this would be his moment of glory—a brilliant counterstrike to turn the tide—the Chaos Energy Orb pulsed with an intense red glow.

"Crack... Crack..."

In an instant, the portal before Ned fractured like glass, shattering into countless fragments.

"Damn it!"

Caught off guard, Ned had placed the portal dangerously close to himself, fully confident in its strength to handle the energy. But without any additional defenses, he had left himself wide open.

The next moment, the Chaos Energy Orb exploded against him.

"Boom!!!"

Thick black smoke erupted from where Ned had stood. Above, the Red Magic Stone watched with a cruel grin. Though it was certain Ned was dead, it decided to play it safe, conjuring two additional magic circles and launching another pair of Chaos Energy Orbs straight into the smoky crater.

"Boom! Boom!"

Suddenly, a voice echoed from the sky.

"Should I thank you for taking me seriously, or should I be furious enough to grind you to dust for this?"

The Red Magic Stone froze in disbelief. Looking up, it saw two versions of Ned hovering in the air, each wielding a gleaming sword—one glowing violet, the other glowing blue.

The skies above shimmered with streaks of violet and blue light, giving the scene an awe-inspiring, almost divine atmosphere.

"Violet and Azure Blades?"

The Red Magic Stone sneered, unfazed by the spectacle. "I remember those pathetic weapons. They didn't save their previous wielders from the Ancient One, and they won't save you either!"

"Oh, is that so?"

From the depths of the smoky crater, a third Ned rose, clutching a pitch-black spear. The spear radiated an ominous glow, sending chills down anyone who dared to look at it directly.

The Red Magic Stone laughed mockingly. "You're placing your faith in relics wielded by losers? What makes you think they'll be your salvation?"

Even as it taunted, the Stone unleashed a barrage of smaller Chaos Energy Orbs, scattering them across the battlefield like relentless rain. Everything in their path was obliterated, and Ned's three projections bore the brunt of the attack, vanishing into thin air.

"Haah... Haah..."

Inside the Mirror Dimension, Ned lay sprawled on the ground, panting heavily. His trembling hands gently rested on the tattered Cloak of Levitation draped over him.

"Thank you," he whispered sincerely.

The cloak, now punctured by a massive hole, had flown off his back moments before the Chaos Energy Orb struck, shielding Ned from the brunt of the attack.

Despite this, his body was wracked with pain. The Red Magic Stone's assault was monstrously powerful—too much for him to handle.

Realizing he couldn't win, Ned decided to retreat. He began to open a portal to Kamar-Taj, hoping to call for reinforcements.

But then, his heart sank.

'No... something's wrong!'

Ned sensed that his three projections had been completely annihilated.

"Crack! Crack!"

Before he could react, the space in front of him distorted violently. It was as if a mirror had appeared, reflecting his own pain-stricken face.

"Shatter!"

With a deafening crash, the mirror-like surface broke apart. A crimson glow shot out, grabbing Ned by the throat and dragging him out of the Mirror Dimension.

The tattered Cloak of Levitation frantically flew after him, desperate to help.

"Well, well... aren't you full of surprises?"

The Red Magic Stone sneered as it hoisted Ned into the air with Chaos Magic.

"You actually tried to hide in the Mirror Dimension. I almost fell for it. Almost."

It eyed Ned's scorched robes and the shredded cloak trailing behind him.

"So, you're not unscathed after all. Let's see how you fare without your little toys!"

With a flick of its hand, the Red Magic Stone summoned the black spear and the Violet and Azure Blades. The weapons hovered ominously in front of Ned, their edges pointed straight at him.

"Ugh..."

Ned struggled, but the Chaos Magic binding him was too strong.

The Red Magic Stone cackled. "Watch closely as I destroy your precious cloak. Let's see how helpless you truly are!"

The Violet and Azure Blades, along with the black spear, began glowing with an eerie crimson light. Enveloped in Chaos Magic, their power multiplied terrifyingly.

"Snap!"

In an instant, the weapons tore through the Cloak of Levitation, shredding it into countless pieces. The fragments floated gently to the ground like dying embers.

"No!!!"

Ned's eyes widened in anguish, his voice trembling with rage.

To him, the Cloak of Levitation wasn't just a tool—it was a companion, a partner. Losing it was like losing a dear friend.

"Enough!"

Golden gears began spinning around Ned as he summoned a massive golden chakram in front of him. The circular blade spun with ferocious energy, radiating a blinding light.

With a roar, Ned hurled the golden chakram toward the Red Magic Stone.

"You're going down!!!"

But he wasn't done. Summoning another chakram, he gripped it tightly and launched himself at the enemy.

The Red Magic Stone sneered. "What kind of idiot uses a ranged attack as a melee weapon?! You're a disgrace to all sorcerers!"

Its taunts fell on deaf ears. Ned was beyond reason now—his fury burned brighter than ever.
