Marvel : Super Soldier at the Start

Chapter 225: Hydra

Thanos, who was once the ultimate boss in Blake's early days after transmigrating, was finally eliminated by Blake himself, removing that looming shadow.

Even though Blake had long known that Thanos wasn't the final obstacle to his peaceful existence in this world, he had still subconsciously regarded him as the ultimate boss. No matter how many Infinity Stones he obtained or how much his strength grew, he had never imagined that facing Thanos would one day be so effortless.

Now, however, Blake understood. He might not know exactly how powerful Thanos would be with all six Infinity Stones, but it no longer mattered—Thanos would never get the chance to collect them all.

With the matter of Thanos settled, this journey had been highly rewarding. Not only had Blake acquired two Infinity Stones and connected with most of the Guardians of the Galaxy, but he had also planted a deep-rooted hidden force in the cosmos, establishing his own influence.

Gamora stayed behind at the Celestial's head, overseeing affairs with the help of the Widows. She now controlled the operations of the Tivan Group on behalf of the Avengers—or rather, on behalf of Blake.

Star-Lord, for Gamora's sake, chose to stay as well, bringing Yondu along. Given the chaotic and diverse nature of this place, the two of them fit right in.

Rocket and Groot also opted to remain, though, like Yondu, they couldn't sit still in one place. They secured a spaceship and started their own trading ventures.

Baby Groot chose to stay with the elder Groot for now—after all, they were the last two of their kind in the universe. Since Blake had access to the power of the Space Stone, he allowed them to remain there freely.

As for Blake, he returned with the Avengers, but their first stop wasn't Earth—it was the Moon.

On the dark side of the Moon, a massive metallic base, covering an area twice the size of New York City, was rising.

Numerous small spacecraft were transporting construction robots back and forth, assembling the base piece by piece with materials shipped from Xandar.

A section of the base was already taking shape. The Nova Corps had stationed dozens of designers, architects, and scientists here, all working on lunar development. In the future, this base would also serve as the launch point for Mars terraforming efforts.

Inside a conference room within the base, Blake sat at the head of the table. On either side of him were several Xandarian officials, and before him, a holographic projection displayed the upper body of Nova Prime, transmitting from Xandar.

"We greatly appreciate everything you've done. The Accuser, Ronan, is dead, and we've heard that the Mad Titan has also been defeated by you. Your reputation will spread across the universe like starlight. We have fulfilled our promises—this base will be built exactly as you envisioned, and our people are at your disposal."

As a superpower in the cosmos, the Nova Empire had long been aware of everything Blake and his allies had done in Knowhere. Their respect for him had only grown stronger.

"I can see that, Nova Prime. You've upheld your end of the bargain, and the progress is impressive—I'm very satisfied. My friend, the armored man known as Tony Stark, is currently working on three mining planets. I'd like your people to assist us a little longer until the Tivan Group arrives to take over operations."

"As you wish, mighty Mr. Blake!"

Blake waved his hand, closing the projection. A nearby official immediately brought up a holographic model, explaining the future layout and functions of the base.

The three mining planets were located at the edges of the solar system. Driven by his scientific curiosity, Tony had temporarily parted ways with Blake to explore them, while Blake came to the Moon to oversee the progress here.

Though his gaze was now set on the wider universe, as a human from Earth, he still had to consider the well-being of his own people. Using Xandar's resources to develop Mars and create a second home for humanity was, in a way, a way to give back to his birthplace.

Of course, every great endeavor starts with difficulties. Earth's current technology was insufficient to contribute much, and while constructing the lunar base was manageable, fully developing Mars—even with Xandar's support—would be a gradual process. This wasn't something that could be accomplished in just a few days.

After listening to the experts outline the general plan, Blake felt reassured and finally returned to Earth.

This time, aside from gaining numerous benefits from his journey, Blake had a crucial reason for returning—according to the timeline, the Scarlet Witch should have already been born by now. This was one of the key reasons for his return.

### Sky Base

Blake sat across from Peggy Carter.

"Most of Alexander Pierce's Hydra operatives have been captured. The few who escaped aren't much of a threat. According to their testimonies, none of them had seen Loki's scepter since shortly after the New York incident."

"There might still be some hidden Hydra members, but we've taken full control of all their scientific research facilities. If the scepter was in their possession, there would have been records of experiments and modifications. Based on our analysis, they must have handed it over not long after the Battle of New York."

As one of the original founders of S.H.I.E.L.D., Peggy Carter was an expert in espionage. While Natasha Romanoff had gradually shifted from a spy to a combat specialist, she was still technically the intelligence chief of the Avengers. However, in practice, Peggy had been handling most intelligence operations, including managing remnants of the Red Room and integrating former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents after its dissolution.

"You're saying Hydra still exists outside the U.S.? But haven't we been hunting them down for years? I thought we had wiped out most of them."

Blake asked knowingly.

"That's right. Hydra's organization has definitely been dismantled, but I suspect that a leader and a loyal faction have gone into hiding. They might be the ones studying the scepter. Remember, Hydra has nine heads."

Peggy shrugged and smiled before continuing.

"That said, we do have a lead. After years of investigations and narrowing down our search, we're fairly certain that if such a faction exists, they're operating in Eastern Europe."

"If that's true, how long until we find them? You know, Peggy, that's an Infinity Stone. Who knows what kind of strange and dangerous things they might have developed with it?"

"At most, one month!"

"Good! One month. Let's hope for good news. If you locate them, don't act rashly—I don't want them using the Stone to create some kind of weapon."

Blake instructed cautiously.
