Me and My Overpowered Abilities

Chapter 31: chapter 29

Adam snapped.

With an enraged roar, he surged forward at extreme speed, his fist rocketing toward Hades. This wasn't just any punch—this was raw, unrestrained power, strong enough to shatter the moon. No Ki, no Chakra, no Haki—just pure, terrifying physical strength.

"Your rage has consumed you… did they erase them from existence? I'm sorry," Hades said softly, letting out a sigh.

Hades moved.

Effortlessly, he dodged Adam's strike—but his pupils shrank as his instincts screamed at him. His gaze flicked to the side just in time to catch the blur of Adam's incoming kick, aimed straight for his nose.

Hades vanished in an instant, narrowly escaping the devastating blow.

'…He dodged that?'

Adam narrowed his eyes, his mind racing. 'He didn't have enough time to react unless he was significantly stronger than me… So why did he dodge?'

There were only a few possibilities. Either he's physically weak, he disdains the idea of a mortal touching him, or he simply chose to dodge rather than take the hit.

Adam turned to face Hades, who had reappeared not too far away, standing calmly with an unreadable expression.

'If he's the god of the underworld, he might not even need to physically move. A single thought could be all it takes for him to escape my attacks.' Adam exhaled slowly as his Ki and Chakra surged, reinforcing his body.

"I don't want to fight you," Hades said with a frown, his gaze fixed on Adam's fists, sensing the raw devastation they carried.

Adam clenched his fist, Armament Haki surging around it. Unlike the standard Armament Haki found in the One Piece world, his was an advanced fusion of Ki and Chakra, amplifying its strength exponentially. The sheer force radiating from his fist caused the air around him to tremble.

Armament Haki was not just a skill but a power that evolved through different stages:

Basic Stage: At this level, users enhance their physical strength and defensive capabilities, making their bodies tougher and more resistant to damage.

Intermediate Stage – Hardening: This stage allowed users to form an invisible armor, further reinforcing their attack and defense. Weapons imbued with enough Haki at this stage could transform, becoming black blades, increasing their durability and cutting power exponentially.

Advanced Stage: Here, users could project their Haki outward. This enabled them to strike enemies without making physical contact, similar to an energy blast, or deflect attacks with sheer force.

Beyond Advanced – Internal Destruction: This was the pinnacle of Armament Haki. Masters at this level could inject their Haki into a person or object, causing devastation from the inside out. It wasn't just about breaking an opponent's defense—it was about obliterating them at the core.

Adam's Haki was beyond even this stage, refined by both his Ki and Chakra, allowing him to manipulate its form, range, and intensity to an unparalleled degree. His fist gleamed with a dense, obsidian-like aura, raw power compressed into an unstoppable force.

"Too bad," Adam muttered, his expression unreadable.

Adam had mastered Armament Haki long ago, wielding it with absolute precision and efficiency. But that alone wasn't enough—not for the rage that had been simmering within him for years, a fury he had buried deep beneath layers of indifference.

Bit by bit, that rage began to spill over, manifesting as something even greater.

Conqueror's Haki.

At first, it was subtle, a faint pulse of dominance rippling through the air. But as Adam's emotions surged, his willpower erupted like a storm, spreading across the underworld in an unrestrained wave.

Hades' eyes widened in shock as he sensed the sheer force of Adam's will. Conqueror's Haki wasn't just power—it was a weaponized force of will, capable of dominating the weak and challenging even the strong.

In the One Piece world, only a select few could infuse their Conqueror's Haki into their attacks, coating their weapons and bodies with unparalleled destructive force. But Adam?

He had mastered it completely.

His willpower, fueled by years of suppressed fury, gathered into his fist, causing black lightning to crackle violently around it. Every arc of lightning that struck the ground left behind deep, jagged scars, as if the very world itself recoiled from his wrath.

Adam's eyes locked onto Hades, and in an instant, he vanished—his speed overwhelming. But Hades moved, effortlessly dodging the attack.

Adam's narrowed eyes tracked Hades, his mind working despite the burning rage inside him.

'His movements… it isn't just speed or skill. It's like he already knew where I'd strike.'

Even as his fury boiled over, Adam's instincts remained sharp, analyzing every detail, searching for an opening.

Hades, hovering just out of reach, sighed. His gaze held no fear—only something Adam didn't expect. Pity.

"I pity you, human," Hades said, his voice calm yet heavy with meaning. "All your life, you had nothing. But the moment you finally had something… they took it away."

His black eyes met Adam's. "I understand your rage."

That single look, that single word, sent a fresh wave of anger surging through Adam's veins.

Adam's skin flushed red, steam rising in thick waves from his body. The heat around him became stifling, distorting the very air.

Hades' pupils shrank. 'He increased the flow of his blood… I didn't even see it—'

Adam vanished. Faster. Far faster than before. In an instant, he reappeared behind Hades, his fist igniting into a furious blaze.

With a thunderous roar, Adam drove his flaming fist forward, slamming it into Hades' back.

"Red Hawk!"

The moment the punch connected, an explosive torrent of fire burst through Hades, surging forward like a hellish inferno. The sheer force of the attack ripped through the underworld, mountains shattered into dust, the land split apart, and even the clouds high above were incinerated, leaving nothing but an endless void.

Hades was blasted across the realm, his body dragging through the terrain like a meteor, carving a deep, molten trench in his wake.

Adam remained still, his breathing controlled, his eyes cold as he watched the devastation unfold.

"All this time," he said, his voice icy, "my space-time was adapting to the underworld, allowing you to see my past and future."

Every being had a unique field of space-time surrounding them—an invisible bubble, a domain where their laws of reality applied. It reminded him of a theory he had once heard about. space and time didn't exist independently, not until mass gave them form.

Einstein's general theory of relativity says, mass and energy cause the curvature of spacetime. In the absence of mass or energy, spacetime is flat, resembling the geometry described by special relativity. However, the presence of mass, such as that of the Sun, distorts spacetime, resulting in the gravitational effects we observe.

This curvature is not solely due to mass; energy, momentum, pressure, and stress also contribute to the warping of spacetime. Collectively, these factors determine how spacetime curves around massive objects.

Adam exhaled slowly, his gaze drifting over the sheer devastation he had just caused. For miles, as far as the eye could see, everything was gone. No ground. No sky. No clouds. Just emptiness.

A massive void stretched before him, the very fabric of reality seemingly erased by his attack.

Hades floated above the abyss, his expression unreadable. He was completely unscathed, not a single burn or mark visible on his body.

"You're strong…" Hades finally said, his voice filled with something that almost sounded like regret. "And I am sorry. Truly. But your power, combined with your rage, threatens this universe."

Adam tilted his head slightly, his eyes narrowing. "No injuries? But I was sure I struck both his soul and physical form…"

He had aimed to end Hades in a single blow, taking advantage of the god's momentary blindness when Adam had severed his connection to space-time. For that brief instant, Hades had been open.Yet, here he was. Completely unharmed.

'He's the god of this realm… he won't be easy to kill in his own realm.' Adam tensed, mentally adjusting his approach.

For a long moment, Hades remained silent, as if contemplating something. Then, with a deep breath, he raised a hand, and pointed directly at Adam.

Adam's pupils shrank as his body reacted on pure instinct, narrowly dodging the dark green beam that ripped through the void where he had just stood.

"You dodged that?" Hades' voice remained calm, but the slightest flicker of surprise passed through his ancient eyes.

The gap in strength between them wasn't small, yet Adam had still evaded such an attack? Impossible. Hades narrowed his gaze, scrutinizing Adam's movements. "Such precision… such instinctual timing…"

If Hades still had access to Adam's past and future, this fight would already be over. Yet somehow, Adam had severed that connection.

The Underworld was Hades' domain.

Here, he was supposed to be omniscient, aware of all that transpired within his realm. The moment Adam had entered, his space-time should have synchronized with the Underworld, allowing Hades to read him like an open book. Yet, Adam had stopped it.

Adam's body moved instinctively as Hades fired a barrage of beams, each one traveling at speeds far beyond the speed of light. Dodging them through normal means was impossible—his mind couldn't process them in time.

Yet, he moved.

Ultra Instinct guided his body, allowing him to weave between the deadly beams. It was as if his instincts and reflexes were moving independently of his thoughts, making decisions faster than his conscious mind ever could.

But even with Ultra Instinct, he wasn't untouchable. One of the beams suddenly appeared right before his shoulder, freezing in place for a fraction of a second. Limitless.

Yet, to Adam's shock, his technique wasn't as absolute as he had thought. The beam bypassed his barrier as if it didn't exist, tearing through his shoulder without any resistance.

But there was no wound. No blood. No pain.

Hades' eyes narrowed slightly. "He didn't phase through it… the body part that was supposed to be hit was teleported away."

Indeed, Kamui had activated instinctively, shifting his shoulder into another dimension for an instant before returning it unharmed…

'It seems like abilities I recreate from animes outside of Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece are weaker in my hands,' Adam thought, his mind racing.

Limitless was still powerful, but Adam was starting to notice its limitations. It wasn't that it wasn't working—it was that he couldn't bring out its full potential. Of course, he could refine it, tweak it to be more effective, but at this point, it seemed wiser to improve Kamui instead, since he had more affinity towards Kamui then the Limitless.

'So, I have a stronger affinity for abilities from Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece…' Adam realized. But it went even deeper than that. His connection to Goku's, Naruto's, and Luffy's abilities specifically was even greater.

Bringing his arm up to his mouth, Adam took a deep breath. Then, he bit down.

Air rushed into his body at an unnatural rate—but instead of expanding, steam erupted from his arm, coiling like a serpent before consuming his entire form.

Adam's body transformed.

After all, he had gained all of Luffy's abilities. If Luffy was a rubber man… then so was he.

"Gear 4: Snake Man!" Adam cried out, his voice booming across the battlefield.

At that moment, his entire form underwent a drastic transformation.

His red hair stood straight up, almost defying gravity. His pupils sharpened, becoming snake-like, radiating an untamed, predatory energy. Steam poured off his body in thick waves, lifting him into the air as if he had become weightless.

Every inch of his rubberized form pulsed with raw, explosive power.
