"We know what's inside you, Zeron. The world calls it Purple Krono. We call it the Forbidden Source."

One of them lowered their mask.

It was… his mother's old partner, believed dead in the plane crash.

"Your parents didn't die. They were silenced."

He was surrounded.

Zake's will hardened.

"If I can't protect Zui… or Zeron… what's the point?"

Suddenly, a flame within his core sparked darker.

Black Krono traces.

He stopped moving—and the drones vaporized around him.

The system locked down.

An AI voice panicked:

"Unauthorized Krono signature detected. Lockdown initiated."

Zake collapsed to his knees, breathing heavily.

"What… was that?"

In the Whispergrove Sanctuary, Zui touched the heart of the Thread Tree—and it pulsed.

Roots extended from the soil and formed into a sleek, organic mecha—shaped like a deer with antlers of woven vines and moss.

"Verdentia."

"You feel my sorrow, don't you?" Zui whispered.

Verdentia bowed its head.

"Then fight with me. Not just to win—but to heal."

But even as Zui bonded with her new companion, the Tree whispered a warning:

"The Dead Krono has tasted your scent. It will return."

In a high-class restaurant within the Guild District, Zeron had dinner with Commander Vess, posing as a public strategy discussion.

But across the room, a violinist played an eerie tune.

Too perfect.

Zeron's eyes narrowed.

He scanned the guests. One man smiled too often. Too wide.

Vess slid a note beneath Zeron's plate.

"Don't drink the water. He's Spectral."

The assassin moved first—fork turned into a nano-blade.

Zeron caught it mid-air with a flicker of resonance—just enough Purple Krono to fracture space.

The fight lasted seconds.

The violinist stopped playing.

The assassin's body vanished into black particles—no blood, no trace.

"First attempt won't be the last," Vess muttered. "They're not just hunting you. They're testing you."

Zui curled up asleep with Verdentia nearby. Zake snored in the other room.

Zeron inserted the core into a reader.

A hologram blinked to life.

His father's voice.

"If you're seeing this… it means the Purple Pulse has awakened."

"They'll come for you, son. Not because of what you are—but because of what you remember. They hid the truth inside your Krono signature."

The message glitched, ending abruptly with one final sentence:

"Trust the child. He remembers the stars."

In a dream—no, a vision—Zeron stood in space.

Beside him, the white-haired child floated.

"The first gate… is on the moon."

"And the traitor is closer than you think."

Suddenly, the child's face shifted—multiple forms flickering rapidly.

A woman. A robot. A star.

"Don't forget the one who wears your face."

Zeron woke up gasping.

Outside, the moon pulsed with a Krono wave.

A signal had been activated.
