Chapter 63: Harry Potter part 6

The silence between them was thick, punctuated only by the rustle of pages as Katsuki begrudgingly flipped through a dusty tome. Izuku, however, found it impossible to concentrate. His emerald eyes kept darting towards Katsuki, his mind replaying the dream that had plagued him in the first hour of detention.

It had been so vivid, so… intensely real. Katsuki, towering over him, knee pressing against his crotch, a possessive fire in his crimson eyes. The memory of the kiss, the way Katsuki's lips had felt against his, sent shivers down his spine.

He stole another glance at Katsuki, who was now glaring at him with suspicion. "You going to keep staring, damn nerd, or are you going to moan from seeing me since you do it in your sleep?" Katsuki sneered, a cocky grin spreading across his face.

Izuku felt his face erupt in flames. "W-what?" he stammered, completely mortified.

Katsuki rolled his eyes. "You're loud in your sleep, stupid nerd. I swear, if you're dreaming about me, the least you could do is be quiet about it."

Izuku wanted the ground to swallow him whole. He fiddled with the hem of his Gryffindor robes, desperate to change the subject. "I… I wasn't moaning," he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper.

Katsuki snorted in disbelief, but surprisingly, he didn't press the issue further. He simply muttered a curse under his breath and resumed his reading, leaving Izuku to stew in his embarrassment.

The remaining hours of detention passed in agonizing silence. Izuku did his best to avoid Katsuki's gaze, desperately trying to focus on the ancient texts Aizawa had assigned them to copy. But his mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. He was mortified by the dream, ashamed of his body's traitorous reaction, and utterly confused by Katsuki's behavior.

Finally, with a sigh that seemed to carry the weight of the entire castle, Aizawa announced that detention was over. Izuku and Katsuki wordlessly gathered their belongings and trudged out of the dungeons, their footsteps echoing in the dimly lit corridors.

As they reached the entrance hall, Katsuki stopped abruptly. "Tch, I won't tell your secret," he grumbled, his eyes averted. "Just stop being so damn annoying."

Izuku's heart skipped a beat. Was that… kindness? "Thank you, Kacchan," he whispered, his voice filled with gratitude.

Katsuki scoffed and turned on his heel, disappearing into the Slytherin common room. Izuku watched him go, a strange mix of relief and disappointment swirling within him.

He made his way towards the Gryffindor common room, his head still reeling from the events of the evening. He found his friends waiting for him, their faces etched with concern.

"Izuku! You're back!" Ochaco exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace him. "Are you alright? We were so worried!"

"Yeah, man, what did Aizawa-sensei make you two do?" Tenya asked, adjusting his glasses.

Izuku forced a smile. "It was just detention. We had to copy some old texts," he said, carefully avoiding any mention of his dream or his conversation with Katsuki.

Tsuyu tilted her head, her large eyes narrowed. "You seem flustered, Izuku-chan. Did something happen?"

Izuku blushed, but quickly brushed it off. "No, nothing. Just… tired."

He excused himself and headed towards his dorm room, desperate for some peace and quiet. He collapsed onto his bed, burying his face in his pillow. He couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between him and Katsuki, something that he didn't quite understand.

Meanwhile, in the Slytherin common room, Katsuki was facing a similar interrogation. Mina, Kyoka, Hanta, and Eijiro were all huddled around him, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and amusement.

"So, what happened in detention, Bakugo?" Mina teased, wiggling her eyebrows. "Did you and Midoriya finally kiss and make up?"

Katsuki's eyes narrowed. "Shut it, Pinky! Nothing happened," he snarled, trying to maintain his composure.

"Oh, come on, Bakugo," Eijiro said, slapping him on the back. "We all saw the way you were glaring at Midoriya in class. What's really going on?"

Katsuki hesitated, his gaze shifting from one face to another. He couldn't tell them about the dream, about the way Izuku's vulnerability had stirred something within him. He couldn't admit that the damn nerd was constantly invading his thoughts, driving him to the brink of insanity.

"It's none of your damn business," he growled, pushing past them and storming off to his dorm room.

He slammed the door shut and leaned against it, his heart pounding in his chest. He had to get a grip. He couldn't let Izuku Midoriya get to him. He was Katsuki Bakugo, the most powerful wizard in Slytherin, and he wouldn't let some stupid dream ruin his life.

But as he closed his eyes, Izuku's image flashed before him, his emerald eyes wide with confusion and vulnerability. And for the first time, Katsuki couldn't deny that something had changed. The line between rivalry and something else had blurred, and he was terrified of what lay beyond.
