MHA : Hero Time

Chapter 303 : The Wedding Day

Few days later, the group found themselves sitting in an unusual and tense meeting. Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, Pedro, Carrot, Yuta, and Maki were all gathered in a big room inside a strange, moving fortress. That fortress was none other than Capone Bege's massive living body — his Castle-Castle Fruit powers in action.

On the other side of the room were Capone Bege himself, his mafia-style gang, and Caesar Clown — who was awkwardly shifting around, clearly not comfortable with any of them. At least there were many people on both sides. What about him? He was completely alone. How's that fair!

"NO WAY!" Luffy grumbled, sitting cross-legged, arms folded. "I don't wanna work with this guy!" He pointed at Bege, who simply puffed on his cigar and ignored the protest.

"He Kidnapped Sanji."

"Grow up, Luffy!" Nami snapped. "We're not here to make friends. We're here to get Sanji back!"

"Sanji..." Luffy's mood immediately shifted. He looked down, then nodded. A big balloon-like pout on his face was visible.

Bege slammed a map on the table. "Alright, listen up. The Tea Party will happen in the Whole Cake Chateau. Vinsmoke will be there, dressed up like a good boy for his wedding with one of Big Mom's daughters."

"Pudding..." Yuta muttered. "That two-faced cupcake." He couldn't help but smile remembering what he knew of the plot. Poor Sanji, even when he found love, she couldn't find him...

Bege continued, "During the wedding, we'll use Caesar's special poison gas weapon, which I've neatly fitted into a missile."

"HEY! That was my idea!" Caesar protested. "I should get credit!"

"No one cares," Bege muttered. "Now, before the assassination, we'll create a chance to take her off-guard."

"That's where we come in," said Pedro. "Big Mom has a strange attachment to a broken image of Mother Carmel. If we destroy it..."

"She'll lose her mind," Caesar cut in. "Like, screaming, shrieking, no steel-skin defense kind of losing it!"

"Her 'steel balloon' body only stays strong because of her Haki and willpower," Bege added. "When she's emotionally shocked, her body becomes vulnerable. That's when we hit her."

"I'm the one who's gonna punch her!" Luffy declared with a raised fist. Though he meant this for everyone, he was especially looking at Yuta while saying this. Knowing that if there was one person who was able to fight toe-to-toe with an Emperor, then it was Yuta, he was already marking his target so that later he'd get to fight the final boss.

Nami, a tick mark forming on her head, knew how strong Luffy was, and even if she wished to, she knew that current Luffy is no match for an Emperor.

It would be best for everyone if Yuta fought Big Mom. But again, she knew Luffy a little too well. That idiot captain of hers would not back down no matter how much she beat him to a pulp.

She couldn't help but send a begging look toward Yuta, who only smiled back at her, confusing her whether the smile was, "Don't worry I got this" or "Don't worry, you got this..."

"Formal, hopefully..."

Bege shot him a look. "This isn't a street brawl, Straw-head. You ruin the timing, we're all toast."

"We don't need you, you big rectangle!" Luffy snapped.

'What did he just call me?!' Another tick mark formed because of Luffy, just in another person.

"Does it really matter whether we plan or not? What I have seen, our captain doesn't do plans well," Maki sighed, sipping her tea.

"We can hope, right...!" Nami had tears threatening to spill by that remark. Surely they are not that far gone to fix, right? Right...

Nami stepped between them and slapped both of them on the head. "Enough! This is serious! Sanji's life is on the line, remember?!"

Later they learned that Big Mom's pirates were planning on betraying the Vinsmokes. So yeah, his life might really be in danger.

"Fine… fine…" Pouting, Luffy agreed, though a little unwillingly.

Brook nodded. "We need perfect timing. I can sneak in early. I've got... experience with Poneglyph rooms after all."

Everyone gave him a deadpan stare. 'Already saying I ain't gonna go after Big Mom... huh.'

Bege cleared his throat. "We've all got our roles. Yuta, you're our ace. Act only when the main plan fails." He said and had a feeling that for some reason the plan's not gonna work, all for one Mugiwara boy.

He would swap Luffy's role for Yuta in a heartbeat if that was an option, but that damn Straw Hat wouldn't budge from his position. He wished to rush toward his death — be it. As long as he follows the plan.

The plan itself was pretty simple. Hide inside the giant cake which would be the main target of Big Mom the moment the tea party began. That glutton eats entire mountains herself.

Jump out when the time is right, go for the picture and destroy it. Big Mom would be vulnerable at that time and boom. Assassination done!

"If only it was that easy." Yuta smirked to himself.

Maki grinned. "It's never that easy."

Caesar raised his hand. "Wait! What do I get?"

"Your freedom, maybe," Pedro said dryly. "If you live."

Yuta leaned back and chuckled. "Looks like this is gonna be fun."

"Lots of fun..." Luffy had a big grin on his face.

Nami crossed her arms, clearly irritated now. "We only get one chance at this. Let's do it right and bring Sanji back."

Everyone nodded, even Luffy. Despite the weird team-up, they all had the same goal — save Sanji and take Big Mom down.

So, with that all sorted, the mission finally started.

After forming an uneasy alliance with Capone Bege, Luffy, Nami, Brook, Chopper, Pedro, Carrot, Caesar Clown, and others put together a plan to crash Big Mom's tea party. They waited.

Preparing for the tea party, and while this was happening, outside the Big Mom pirates were searching for them with renewed motivation after their mother was angered enough to personally show them what really happened with her dear Mother Carmel.

It's just that an Emperor's pride wouldn't sit well after getting her fat ass handed to her. Arguably this was the angriest she had been in a very long time outside her famous hunger pangs.

However, no matter what they did, they couldn't find Yuta and the Straw Hats. And just like that, soon the day came — a day where two souls would become one.

The Wedding Day...

Sanji, forced into a political marriage with Charlotte Pudding, learns the truth about her. While she pretended to love him, she actually planned to shoot him during the ceremony, revealing her cruel personality.

Everything was set and soon the chaos was about to begin.

However, the plan which Pudding had put so much credibility into was doomed to fail. Thinking that Sanji would rebel if she showed her third eye to him.

This was Sanji — as long as the girl was beautiful, he'll even marry a statue. So, Sanji ended up complimenting her third eye as beautiful. She's caught off guard and hesitates, only for a few seconds though.

After that, she shot him just as planned, only for Sanji to masterfully evade. Did they really think that the third-in-command of the Straw Hats wouldn't have Observation Haki?

At the tea party, chaos breaks loose as soon as the shot was fired, and then Luffy crashes through the wedding cake, creating more confusion.

Yuta and Maki were keeping their distance though. While Yuta didn't mind helping out and pushing the plot a little ahead of time for his own sake, he didn't have any immediate need to do that. Since he already had gotten the system rewards for fighting and beating Big Mom, there was just not enough motivation for him to act.

Maki, on the other hand, just like always had good instincts to even agree about going with him to that wedding. Both were away, on top of Zeus, which still was under Yuta's control. He practically stole him...! Kidnapped him...?

Keeping him for himself for the time being. After all, even with all his powers, he can't fly and this cloud was comfy.

While dozens of fake Luffys caused havoc, a horrible scene courtesy of Brulee's mirror powers, the real one smashes Mother Carmel's picture. As planned, Big Mom enters a state of emotional shock, letting out a devastating scream that incapacitates many around her.

During this moment of vulnerability, Bege attempts to assassinate Big Mom, but her overwhelming power destroys the plan. Big Mom regains composure quickly and attacks, forcing the alliance to retreat.

Meanwhile, Brook and Pedro once again were working to retrieve the Poneglyph rubbings, and Jinbe, who had been waiting for the right moment, officially declares his exit from the Big Mom Pirates. He didn't have to honestly, seeing how he already fought against Big Mom earlier to save both Brook and Pedro.

Luffy, before he could even reach Big Mom, once again found himself facing an old opponent. Katakuri was standing in his way. Their last fight never completed since Yuta's newly found Conqueror's Haki broke out.

Out and out, this was utter chaos boiling at this tea party.
