Chapter 685 Another Hell Realm bites the dust
685 Another Hell Realm bites the dust
On the distant horizon, Daniel noticed another city. A massive line of demons stretched from the city toward the horizon in the direction he was heading. The crowd seemed endless—millions upon millions of demons were moving in the same direction.
"That massive line must be the invasion army," Daniel muttered as his speeder surged forward at high speed.
He had been in this Abyssal Realm for over two hours now. The air here was not suited for human life; its composition was toxic to the human body, and he didn't know any spells to counteract it.
It was fortunate that the fight with Lucifer didn't take much time. He had come and achieved his goals, forced Lucifer to return what he had stolen from Pride, beat the sh*t out of him, extracted the directions to the exit, and left. These tasks were completed efficiently, allowing Daniel to endure the poisonous air outside with the help of his overwhelming enchantments, which bolstered his toughness.
He always maintained various enchantments that improved his power and resilience, which was a precaution that now proved invaluable. These enchantments increased his tolerance to the toxic air, delaying its harmful effects on his body.
This precious buffer gave him enough time to board the speeder, which had a cockpit capable of generating breathable air.
"Sigh…" Daniel exhaled deeply, reflecting on his oversight.
He hadn't prepared anything to effectively solve such a situation, relying solely on his toughness to power through it. This time, the risk had been far too much for his comfort.
He resolved that, upon returning to his workshop, he would better prepare for scenarios where he might suddenly find himself transported to hostile environments—places without oxygen, areas of immense pressure like the bottom of the Mariana Trench, or locations incapable of sustaining life, such as outer space… or even the surface of the sun.
Yes, there was much work to do. Designing a super suit or an artifact that could create a protective space around him, isolating him from extreme heat or pressure, seemed like the best solution. He made a mental note to get started immediately upon his return.
As the speeder raced toward the horizon, the silhouette of the Hell Gate grew clearer with each passing moment.
Daniel shifted his focus inward, sinking into his mindscape while using the speeder's eyes to observe the gate. Time seemed to dilate, slowing the movements of everything around him. He had heard that this Hell Gate was permanent, but it appeared to be destructible, especially from within.
His mindscape highlighted the weak points of the gate, showing him where to strike. From the looks of it, an artifact-destroying card would suffice. This gate was an artifact, after all. Moreover, he couldn't risk any demons from this realm finding a way back to Earth to exact revenge on him or his family.
He need to destroy the gate entirely. Having already offended Lucifer, he might as well ensure no trace of this Abyssal Realm could ever threaten him again.
With that in mind, Daniel revved the handle of the speeder and accelerated toward the gate. He needed to get as close as possible before casting the spell to destroy this place.
After five minutes, the speeder arrived at a position slightly above the gate. None of the demons noticed him, as none of them bothered to look up. The tallest demon barely reached ten meters, while the gate towered at approximately 100 meters in height.
"This is a good spot," Daniel muttered, observing the endless demonic horde streaming through the gate below.
He didn't hear any gunfire or explosions from the other side of the gate, but that was expected—this realm was separate from the outside world.
Daniel then sank his mind into his mindscape, selecting the spell card he had prepared while still seated in the speeder's cockpit.

The cockpit opened, and Daniel stood atop the speeder, gazing toward the distant horizon. That was where he intended to unleash the 'Armageddon' card. Concentrating deeply, he began gathering mana from all the mana vials stored within his universal pocket.
This time, the demons sensed an overwhelming surge of mana above their heads and instinctively looked up.
What they saw was a human mage enveloped in an enormous concentration of holy and fire mana, forming a miniature, sun-like phenomenon. The horde of demons slowed, their confidence shaken. This power—it was enough to crush even their Hell Lord, Lucifer!
As the gathering of mana came to a climax, Daniel unleashed the spell.
In an instant, the crimson sky of the Abyssal Realm fractured, revealing the endless void beyond. Through the massive crack in the sky, a colossal meteor descended. Its shadow consumed the entire realm, spreading darkness as far as the eye could see.
Without delay, Daniel mounted the speeder and sped toward the gate.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Boom! Boom! Boom!
The sounds of gunfire, explosions, and laser bombardments erupted from beyond the gate, momentarily stunning him. Nexus Prime had already deployed an array of war machines to reinforce the area, determined to prevent any demons from breaching the gate.
It was fortunate that only one Hell Gate existed; otherwise, the defensive forces might not have been able to hold the line.
On Daniel's wrist, a notification appeared as Nexus Prime synchronized with the database and transferred data to its main core in New Atlantis. The super AI immediately transmitted IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) signals to all of its forces outside the gate, ensuring Daniel wasn't caught in the crossfire.
"Prime! Prepare for concentrated bombardment! They're going to pour in from the other side! Any moment!" Daniel commanded Nexus Prime as he rode the speeder out and positioned himself behind the firing line.
[Affirmative. Preparing for concentrated bombardment. Sir, I have received signals from Oceanos nearby. May I request additional fire support from Oceanos?] Nexus Prime asked.
"Granted. Request fire support," Daniel agreed.
[Affirmative,] the AI responded.
— Oceanos —
"Sir! We've received a fire support request from Nexus Prime. It has sent us the coordinates," one of the communication officers reported to Odysseus, who was standing by aboard Oceanos.
"Request approved! Surface the ship! Open the cruise missile ports!" Odysseus commanded. The officer promptly carried out his orders.
The colossal Oceanos quickly surfaced. Hundreds of missile ports along its upper front opened, and a barrage of cruise missiles launched toward the designated target coordinates.

Within Lucifer's Abyssal Realm, the colossal meteor crashed onto the fiery landscape, unleashing an explosion of monumental scale. Flames from the lava and the intense heat of the impact burst forth, annihilating every demon city in their path.
The fire reached the skies as the earth shattered, massive cracks forming and spreading like a fractured mirror. Each fissure spewed molten lava onto the already burning terrain of the Abyssal Realm.
Demons caught in the blast were instantly vaporized. Those near the Hell Gate desperately tried to escape, trampling one another in panic. The weaker demons were crushed underfoot while the archfiends managed to break free. However, the moment these archfiends emerged from the Hell Gate, they met their end under the concentrated fire and bombardment from Nexus Prime's forces. The cruise missiles turned the area in front of the Hell Gate into a perfect killing zone.
Lucifer's Abyssal realm was finished; there was no escape, and no one survived this catastrophe. This planet-killing spell also destroyed the Hell Gate.
Witnessing this devastation, Lucifer understood that his end was coming as the fiery blast crept closer.
In desperation, he used his final trump card: a connection to Pride, the Witch of Pride, who utilized his power and blessing. Channeling this link between the two, he teleported his soul out of the Abyssal Realm.
Pride was unaware of this act, as her body merely served as a conduit for the soul teleportation, not through her body. It's like her location is just a mark used for Lucifer's teleportation. She was still focused on deciphering the magic circle, so she failed to notice Lucifer's escape from hell.
Amidst the people in the basement, one person noticed the anomaly, Vlad, who was stationed nearby, guarding Pride while she's working. His sharp instincts caught the faint trace of Lucifer's soul.
"Oh? What have we here?" Vlad murmured, his gaze fixed on the seemingly empty space where Lucifer's soul lingered.
"Shit!" Lucifer cursed, alarmed at the sight of this powerful vampire noticing him. Without hesitation, he fled with his soul state. Vlad wasted no time, transforming into mist and pursuing him closely!
Vlad's movement also alerted Guan Yu, who was stationed nearby. He quickly positioned himself closer to Pride while Hermes diverted part of his attention to the surroundings, readying himself for any potential attack.
