MMORPG: War God, You are Invincible Again

Chapter 283: Battle of the Blood Oath (Part 7)

Tai'e didn't disturb the conversation between the uncle and nephew, waiting until the topic waned before inquiring about the situation in the arena.

Barry laughed and said, "That kid Tukuru really isn't lazy. He's currently defeated no less than five hundred Beast Race warriors, including some Third Transition Peak ones, and even a Demigod."

"Say something useful," Tai'e glared at Barry, knowing this was an attempt to win favor with Lu Hong.

"The useful thing is that the kid can probably hold on for ten more days, though, of course, unforeseen incidents could happen."

"Uncle Barry, may I ask, what kind of incidents?"

"For example, if a Beast Race Demigod kept attacking, depleting his Magic Power."

"Ancient Beast Race?" Eferot asked.

Barry shook his head, "No, if it were Ancient Beast Race, that kid would kill decisively, using the opponent's vitality to replenish his own. Earlier, when he killed an Ancient Beast Race Demigod, he not only suffered no loss, but also gained an advantage."

"Not Ancient Beast Race... Does our Beast Race still have Demigod warriors?" Eferot seemed quite puzzled.

"What do you think?" Barry glared at Eferot, then turned to Tai'e: "Why, are you even keeping this from your son?"

Eferot grew even more confused after hearing this: "Father, what have you hidden from me?"

"Don't listen to his nonsense," Tai'e said with mild displeasure, "There's really nothing, except it pertains to the Beast Race's foundation, and they aren't very obedient, so I've never told you. I was initially planning to inform you one by one after you inherited the throne, but with the current political change, it doesn't hurt to talk about it now."

Barry brewed a pot of tea, pouring it for Eferot and Tai'e.

Tai'e moistened his throat first, then said, "My son, have you ever heard of the Lion King Hall?"

Eferot shook his head, indicating he hadn't.

"Then do you know about the case thirty-two years ago at Weiling involving the destruction of the Marquis of Nation's household?"

"I'm aware," Eferot nodded, "That incident shook the entire country, and was finally blamed on the Human Race, hurriedly closing the case."

"Actually, that's not the case," Tai'e smiled and said, "It was actually the doing of the Lion King Hall."

"The Lion King Hall! Father, is this a power you established?"

"No, actually, the Lion King Hall was set up a long time ago, always controlled by successive Lion Kings, and rarely appearing in the world, so almost no one knows of their existence. Those who can enter the Lion King Hall are the top Beast Race warriors, at least Third Transition Peak level."

"No wonder, so the massacre of the Marquis of Nation was actually because he joined the Lion King Hall?"

"Indeed, the Marquis of Nation was exceptionally strong, and was favored by a Venerable from the Lion King Hall, so he was invited to join. But to enter the Lion King Hall, one must completely sever ties with the mundane world, and with the Marquis's family full of descendants, he was unwilling to leave. Therefore, the Venerable took action to annihilate the Marquis's entire family, forcibly abducted him, and brought him into the Lion King Hall."

"Under the guidance of the Venerable, the Marquis of Nation surpassed me and became a Demigod three years earlier, now serving as one of the ten Venerables of the Lion King Hall, wielding great power."

"Nephew, do you know where I've been all these years?" Barry then spoke up, "Ever since I was captured by the Human Race during the battle at the Abyss of Extreme Magic, and your father secretly exchanged for my release, I've joined the Lion King Hall. With my abilities, I've only managed to attain the position of the Walker there."

The establishment of the Lion King Hall is beyond verification, not created solely by one emperor. It took numerous generations of Beast Race emperors to perfect its system.

The Lion King Hall is divided into three tiers: the highest tier is the Venerable, followed by the Walker, and the lowest tier is the Servant.

According to its structure, there are ten Venerables, one hundred Walkers, and one thousand Servants, with one Venerable overseeing ten Walkers and one Walker overseeing ten Servants, maintaining a strict hierarchical order. Back in the Star Sea, when the Divine Blood besieged the Seven Towers of the Empire, the Lion King Hall was involved, though no Demigod Venerable was dispatched. The yin devil puppet among the Walkers claimed the final Divine Blood fruit, delivering it to Liesuotus, who used the Divine Blood to reconstruct his love.

Barry continued recounting many historical events of the Beast Race, all of which saw the Lion King Hall playing a significant role behind the scenes.

However, Eferot also picked up on the independency of the Lion King Hall, noting that the Beast King often cleaned up after their actions.

"Does the Lion King Hall not fall under the Beast King's control?"

Eferot asked a crucial question.

To this, Tai'e nodded and said, "This is indeed the greatest flaw following the Lion King Hall's establishment—it exists independently from Beast Race's political power and can choose to reject the Lion King's commands. Without absolute strength, one cannot mobilize the Lion King Hall's forces."

"That's not all," Barry continued, "The Lion King Hall has developed a medicine that can extend the life of Beast Race warriors, but the rare materials make mass production impossible. That's also why Beast Kings have lived long during a certain period."

"Did the production of the medicine fail?" Eferot suddenly recalled the short-lived emperors of his father's three previous generations and asked.

"No, it's because the Lion King Hall cut off the supply to the Beast King unilaterally," Barry said in a low voice, "For centuries, the Lion King Hall has been thinking of how to seize power and break into the public eye. However, in the past century, the Star Sea has seen too many changes, leading these old folks to become afraid of death and choosing to remain hidden rather than make themselves known."

Eferot understood: "So, this Blood Oath is also their opportunity."

"That's right, your brother's act of only killing Ancient Beast Race is their chance. Thus, if you hold no desire for the Beast King position, the matter should be disclosed to him before they appear, so he won't hesitate to eliminate them. But if you have your sights on the Beast King position, you must wait until the end, as I can arrange for you to ascend to the supreme position."

Tai'e put the choice in Eferot's hands and then, unwilling to say more, closed his eyes to sleep.

Despite wanting to speak further, Eferot was stopped and taken out of the side palace by Barry.

"Uncle Barry, I still have some... "

"No need to ask. Many things require you to become the Beast King to qualify for more information. For now, just consider whether you truly wish to become the supreme leader of the Beast Race," Barry said, patting Eferot's shoulder. "Don't rush in making a decision, go check on your brother first."

If Eferot claimed not to want to be the Beast King, that would certainly be false, especially since it was originally his position as Tai'e's son, the eldest, destined to inherit the throne.

This led Eferot to have a thousand thoughts on his way to the arena. Had he known little of Lu Hong, he might have cold-heartedly plotted against him.

But after traveling together from the Star Sea to the Star Domain and spending day and night, Eferot came to know more about Lu Hong, gradually developing a lot of admiration for his daring to challenge authority, to resist, to break through limitations, possessing a heart that pursued kindness, dared to love and hate, never saying die easily—the kind of person Eferot always aspired to be.

Just as he was about to squeeze into the crowd, Eferot was suddenly pulled by an arm.

Turning his head, he realized it was his cousin.

The cousin signaled Eferot to remain silent, then led him away, to a palace.

Inside this palace, the bloodline members of the Lion Heart Royal Family were already seated.

"Big Brother!" The younger cousins excitedly surrounded Eferot: "You finally came!"

Seeing the enthusiastic younger siblings gathered around him, Eferot asked in confusion, "Why have you all come?"

"Bloodline summons, how could we disregard?" The younger sibling said, "Although young and knowing we lack strength to vie for the Beast King position, we hope for Big Brother to claim this supreme position, never allowing it to fall into outsiders' hands."

Seeing the eyes filled with three parts hope and five parts sincerity, Eferot gave a slight smile, "It's not about whether I want this throne; if there's nothing else urgent for you, you should quickly leave and return to the Heavenly Realm, and don't linger outside."

"No, if you don't agree, Big Brother, we won't leave!"

Evidently, these disciples of the Lion Heart Royal Family were resolute, forcing Eferot into the battle of the Blood Oath.

"Is that so?" At this point, Eferot also made some calculations, then shouted loudly, "Lion Ancestor, just relying on them isn't persuasive enough for me."
