Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 420: Reasonable Request.

What he asked for was somewhat reasonable.

The request became even more reasonable when the other elder from the Black Bones sect buttresseed his point by saying, "The techniques can be shared among everyone without any loss, so there should be no problem sharing it with us. If we can't even get the techniques, then we won't let you go."

The only elder from the Beast Training sect joined in the conversation. "The choice is simple. You either share the techniques with us or you fight all of us. Are the techniques, which are things that you can share without loss, worth it to fight everyone?"

The elder from the Sword Way sect said, "We are 40, and you are 3. Please consider your choice carefully."

The supreme elder from the Dyson family sighed and said, "Please count me out of this matter. I'm not willing to fight for the techniques. But I can pay for it if you're willing."

Other elders began talking too. They stated their stance on the matter and formed three groups.

The first group are the elders from the Blood Skull sect. They were the ones who were being pressured, but they didn't say a single word.

They didn't try to discourage anyone. They didn't bother to threaten anyone either. They simply kept quiet and watched on coldly.

Elder Storm Hawk was the cold one. The other elder standing beside her was the battle maniac who had a grin on his face because of the prospect of fighting and killing.

This second elder looked as if he wanted them to start fighting immediately. Actually, he wanted to start fighting himself, but he didn't move yet because the priority is to protect Arthur.

One elder looked like she was deaf, while the other elder looked like he was calling their bluff. Both of their reactions were not good for the two other groups.

The second group were the elders from the five sects and some families who were willing to join them in pressuring the Blood Skull sect. They are currently 15 in number, with more elders about to join them from the other parts of the secret realm.

The elder from the Wade family is part of this second group. He didn't join this group because his family was large and he was confident of antagonizing a sect.

Even if he was confident in being able to fight a sect, that sect won't be the Blood Skull sect. But he had to do this dangerous matter because he had some critical information about the elder of the Jade Cauldron sect that set up this inheritance.

If his information is correct, then what he could gain by siding with the other sect would be worth it. If the benefit wasn't so tempting, he would be like the other families who wisely chose to back off.

The third group consists of families like the Dyson family. They are weak families or generally families who don't want to offend the strongest sect in the region.

For whatever reasons they made their decision, they consider it a wise decision. What makes them more assured about their decision is that they offered to pay for the technique.

It is unlikely that the Blood Skull sect will sell the techniques to them if they manage to hold onto it without sharing. But if the second group manages to successfully pressure the Blood Skull sect into sharing the technique, then the people of the third group would be able to buy it.

After all, if the other sects and some families already have it, there will be little use for the Blood Skull sect to keep the techniques a secret. This is what the people of the third group are counting on.

Even if the price that they will have to pay for the techniques will be high while the families in the second group won't pay for anything, the Elder of the Dyson family thought that it would be better than risking his family for some techniques that he doesn't even know their value.

While these three groups were at a standoff, more and more elders in the secret realm congregated in the ruins. This caused the number of people flying in the air to increase.

For the people below, the large ruins became smaller and smaller. Many people wisely chose to leave the ruins and return to their entrance. They did so for their safety.

It was as if a storm was brewing above their heads. The feeling that the storm could explode at any time and fall on them was not pleasant at all. So they ran for their lives.

The time for the entrance to close came and went. The elders didn't leave the ruins because Arthur hadn't come out yet.

Since the elders didn't leave, the entrance couldn't close. So for the first time in a long time, the inter-sect competition lasted for more than 24 hours.

Arthur was on the mountain accepting the inheritance. When he passed through the bright tunnel and came out from the other side, he found himself in a quiet garden.

The garden was on top of the mountain. But it couldn't be seen from outside of the mountain because it had been sealed by a spherical barrier.

The barrier cut out all sounds from the ruins and also causes anyone who looks at the top of the mountain to see just a field of grass. This is why no elder was able to see Arthur's figure after rising up into the air in the ruins.

Arthur looked around the garden and noticed that there was a golem standing beside him. The golem was slender. It wasn't the bulky and large form of Thor's sons.

In fact, the golem looked very much like a human. He would have thought that it was a human if not for its white, alabaster, skinless surface and complete absence of life in it.

The golem said to him in a bland monotonous voice, "Welcome, inheritor no. 13."
