Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 439: Hard Or Interesting Choice.

Elder Storm Hawk admonished, "Do you know how rare it is for anyone to cross the disciples of the Blood Skull sect and survive it? You should know."

"The hard choice was so good for you that I didn't want it to happen. Fortunately, you chose the interesting choice. You attacked him right in front of us. I like that choice very much."

She pointed at the people beside her and said, "We like it very much."

The hard choice was for the Milton family to accept defeat and be willing to pay a price to survive. It was going to be hard because it is difficult for someone to give up willingly when they still have a card to play.

The interesting choice was the choice that Elder Storm Hawk and the two elders from the Blood Skull sect would have found most interesting. Unfortunately, it was a choice that they could only have when they witnessed someone from the Milton family trying to harm someone from their sect for no just reason.

The higher the position of the person in the Milton family who attacked Arthur, the more damage the Milton family will incur and the more interesting this choice will be for Elder Storm Hawk, Elder Battling Furnace, and Elder Blood Spider.

Elder Storm Hawk didn't fight herself. She only went to see if Arthur was fine and help him up. It was the humanoid volcano and the humanoid spider who did the rest of the killing.

Arthur said, "Took you long enough. I thought I was a goner there."

Elder Storm Hawk gave him a thumbs up and said, "You did a good job acting as the bait. Maybe we will use you again in the future."

He shook his head and said, "I'm about to reach the third mortal coil. That will make me less compelling as bait."

She said, "That's true. Maybe we should use it now then. Send you to another territory before people catch wind of what we are doing."

Arthur shrugged and said, "As long as I get the 10% of all proceedings that you promised, I don't mind."

The two of them stood to the side to watch the fight. It wasn't much of a fight, though. It was a massacre.

The humanoid volcano picked the supreme elder and had her beaten up, while the humanoid spider picked off everyone around her. It was quite the sight to Arthur.

He said, "These people are interesting. They look like they are having fun."

Elder Storm Hawk said in agreement, "Indeed."

But her tone of voice indicated that she was displeased that they were having fun. Without being told, Arthur could guess that she was displeased because she couldn't afford to let loose like them.

The two humanoid killing machines are influenced by their foundation, which makes them hungry for battle and bloodthirsty. But unlike her, they can't be assimilated by their foundation, so they can indulge for as long as they want. This is why she called them over to join the fishing game.

Only the supreme elder was worth much of a fight. The remaining 12 people were as easy to kill as killing flies.

The two elders killed worked together, but it was the humanoid spider who did most of the work. The humanoid volcano held back the supreme elder while the humanoid spider picked off the weaker elders one by one.

The people that had been threatening to Arthur became helpless right before his eyes. He saw all of them die, even as they tried to escape, in less than 20 seconds.

They didn't kill the supreme elder, though. They beat her and kept her alive because they needed a chauffeur to show them around.

Without a chauffeur, they might get lost while mowing down the Milton family. They also won't know where the good stuff is hidden.

They needed someone with sufficient authority in the family to show them around. In exchange, they promise not to kill everyone in the Milton family or try to wipe out the family completely.

They were still going to kill her, and they made that clear, but the supreme elder still took the deal. It was the best deal that she could get. Besides, she was going to die anyway. It was better that she used her death to save the remnants of the family.

The two sides made a contract on the spot and swore oaths to fulfill their sides of the deal. Then the five of them went in the direction of the Milton family.

They planned to ransack the Milton family. They will take everything that they could take and kill anyone they come across.

By the end of today, it was unlikely that the Milton family would continue to exist as a cultivation family. Their absence would lead to a vacuum that would cause a lot of conflicts as loose cultivators scramble to fill the vacuum.

The conflict was for the future, and it didn't concern them. After all, this wasn't the territory of the Blood Skull sect. It was the territory of the Sword Way sect.

All they did was avenge an attack made in one of them. The repercussion after they are done is none of their business.

For them, the only thing that concerns them now is maximizing what they will gain from this fishing game. That's why they brought a lot of space rings. They appeared to be ready to move the whole Milton family if need be.

As Arthur watched all of these happen, he had a feeling that this wasn't the first time that Elder Storm Hawk was doing this.

Of course he knew that the fishing game was a favorite pastime of the disciples of the Blood Skull sect. But even if he hadn't been told, what he saw clued him in about their familiarity with the fishing game.

Her action and those of the other two elders were too smooth and practiced. They knew who to kill, who not to kill, and where to look.
