Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 448: Two Options For Beasts.

Humans and beasts without special bloodlines are on their own during the process of forging a foundation. But while humans can comprehend and use cultivation techniques to assist themselves, animals don't read and can't use cultivation techniques yet.

Roar, for instance, just wasn't smart like Princess, so he needed more help to forge his foundation. This will inevitably make foundation establishment dangerous for him.

The most straightforward solution was to use a natural wonder. It is still dangerous for Roar to assimilate a natural wonder, but it is the simplest and most direct solution for him.

The second complicated solution was to have someone operate on Roar and establish his foundation for him. This too would be dangerous, but less expensive than buying a rare natural wonder.

These two options are the only way out for Roar. The first is expensive and would rely on only Roar for success, while the second option is cheap but would rely on the surgeon and Roar for success.

He didn't like the second option because there was too much uncertainty. He was also rich, so he could afford the first option.

To top things off, he already had the idea to use the life pill art to help Roar, and a natural wonder is one of the materials needed to help the life pill advance to the third mortal coil.

Despite for the fact that natural wonders appear in the rank 4 secret realm occasionally and the fact that the demand for them is low because they were rarely used in the sect, they were still very expensive.

They cost 20,000 low-grade energy stones to buy. In comparison, the corpse of a rank 3 beast starts from 10,000 low-grade energy stones or 1 million gold coins.

If he were to use the corpse of a rank 3 beast to create a life pill, the resulting pill would be at the third mortal coil directly and would possess the strength of the corpse. It just wouldn't be capable of growth, but it would cost 10,000 low-grade energy stones.

But if he were to use his flesh to create a life pill capable of growth, the 20,000 low-grade energy stones spent on natural wonder would just be one of the things he has to buy to raise the life pill to the third mortal coil. So if not for the potential growth, the revised pill would have no demand.

He decided to buy two. One would be for Roar, while the other would be for his personal use.

He thought to himself, "If Roar dies, I can always return the natural wonder and get my money back."

The method of fusing with natural wonders is how most beasts break through to the mortal coil. But despite being common, it is still a dangerous process, so he has to be prepared for the death of Roar.

If his plan works, Roar won't die. But even if his plans fail, he will always be able to return the natural wonder and get his money back. Then he can use that money to get something else, like a beast with the potential to reach the third mortal coil on its own.

After thinking of this, he paid for the natural wonder and some materials to feed the life pill. What he bought was mainly equipment, such as large vats for creating and growing organ clones.

The main materials he needed for the revised life pill are his flesh, energy stones, corpses, and natural wonders. He already has his flesh energy stones and corpses. So only the natural wonders are the main materials left to prepare.

After getting everything he paid for, he stored them in his space ring. Then he left the agricultural hall and went home.

Meanwhile, the agricultural hall became especially active after he left. The excitement was all because of the mission he had put up.

A mission like his, which requires knowledge, expertise, or power of the fourth mortal, would have drawn attention even in the inner sect full of golden core elders.

In a place like the outer sect, where the most powerful beings are at the third mortal coil and most people are at the second mortal coil, his mission was akin to a beam of light in a dark room. It drew a lot of attention, like moths are drawn to a flame.

It goes without saying that many people wanted to fulfill the mission and earn the reward because the reward was generous. But there were also some people who were curious to know who would put up such a mission in the outer sect.

There was so much interest in the matter that even Thor was alarmed. It was because many people had begun contacting him for information about the silver pine trees, and some were even offering to cooperate with him in order to earn the reward.

The silver pine tree was Thor's creation. It had been an accidental discovery that drew the attention of a patriarch of the sect and made him earn the full support of the sect.

After achieving that, he had basically forgotten about the silver pine tree because he didn't need it and because the silver pine tree refused to advance to the third mortal coil.

Thor himself didn't know the full value of what he had created. He was also ignorant of why a nascent soul patriarch would value it.

The silver pine tree was only rank 2. So there had to be something special about it that drew the attention of a rank 5 being.

Thor was content knowing that his creation could lead to the mass production of a material that could substitute metals. He had suspected that the silver pine tree could be on par with the discovery of the man-made wonder that is now used today in place of natural wonders.

But beyond that, he didn't care, as he had already gotten all the benefits that his creation could give him.
