Chapter 458: High Aim.
All of his plans will ensure that he will be able to reach the peak of the third mortal coil very quickly and that he will also be able to convert his newfound potential into power very quickly.
And by his calculations and estimates, if each life seed already has matching terminals, it will be easy to fuse all of them into one and form his golden core when he reaches the peak of the third mortal coil.
So it can be said that he has lofty ambitions and goals. But it must also be said that his goals are going to be difficult for him to achieve.
The difficulty lies in the fact that a top-grade rank 3 armament is difficult for even a formation master like him to forge and because he has never forged an armament with a wood base before.
The main problem with forging a rank 3 armament, and a top-grade one at that, is that he is still at rank 3 and still weak. He has the theoretical knowledge and even years of practical experience, but he lacks a divine sense for accurate engraving, a powerful mind, and a large pool of internal energy for long periods of formation engraving.
He can do it and has done it before, but it is going to be difficult and will take a lot of time. The last time he built a rank 3 top-grade armament, which is the one he is currently using, it took him three weeks from start to finish to complete.
The delay was mostly because he had to break up the steps into smaller pieces so that they wouldn't overwhelm him, and he had to take a lot of breaks to rest his mind and gather more internal energy.
This is just the difficulty with normal materials that he learned to work with right from day one. It can be imagined that working with the silver pine tree to create a top-grade rank 3 armament, which he has never done before, will be much more difficult.
It will also be extra difficult because of the limited supply of silver pine trees to work on. So he will not have much room for trial and error, hence the study of tissue samples.
The whole project is giving him a lot of pressure. But he was too excited and full of anticipation for him to consider giving up on it.
His face was full of smiles as he looked at the tissue sample under the microscope, took readings, and wrote down measurements.
Then he moved on to testing the physical and chemical properties of the tissue samples. This was the second stage of preparation.
The third stage of preparation was drawing up schematics for the armament. He had to come up with a schematic instead of using those in the book because he uses the design for integrated circuit boards for his armaments and because his armament will fuse the wood and lightning element.
His project is unique on so many levels. So he has no one to look to for help.
The patriarch had mentioned something like this and likened it to the process of creating a new cultivation technique. Just like that process, Arthur's goal is to create something that truly suits him.
The schematic he drew was aimed at taking advantage of the photosynthesis method to create electricity. It is a method he came up with since plants use sunlight, or photons, to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, which produces electrons.
In a normal situation, the electrons are used to help create sugars, which plants use as food for growth and reproduction. He aims to subvert that process by interrupting the process of photosynthesis and diverting the produced electrons for his own use.
In a way, this process is similar to how solar panels in his last life made electricity. It is just that he is using plant matter, not silicon, for the conversion process.
In his schematic, the source of energy will be mana, specifically his internal energy, not sunlight. The electrons created after the conversion will then be siphoned away by the silver metal in the silver pine tree.
In terms of structures, the armament will be in the shape of a spherical ball. The ball will be made up of tiny layers of silver pine tree engraved with runes that designate individual layers as a conversion layer or siphoning layer.
The conversion and siphoning layer will alternate and be piled up into one large battery. By his estimates each layer will be paper thin, so he will need thousands of them to create his life seed.
It is going to be a lot of work, but he was just excited because the conversion efficiency of energy into electricity in wood is nearly 100%. This is something that the solar panels of his previous lives were incapable of.
Solar panels could only dream about an efficiency of 100%. But the best that they could achieve was an efficiency of 30%.
A conversion efficiency of 100% is impressive on its own, but when this conversion efficiency is combined with the high conductance of silver, the paper-thin thickness of the layers to reduce resistance, and the parallel connection of the layers to reduce resistance even further, the efficiency of the final product will be higher than 95%.
The whole thing made him very excited and very proud of himself. He couldn't help but giggle while he drew the schematics.
For a final touch, he made it easy to convert electricity or lightning into energy too. This was more of an afterthought and didn't require much work to put in, but it made the entire design elegant and beautiful.
He looked at his great work and said, "I might just cry."
This was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in both of his lives. It was so beautiful that he thought nothing could compare to it.
But that thought didn't last long because there was already something more beautiful than his schematics nearby. That thing was the sect ID card.
