Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 467: New Divine Ability.

With half of the mastery of the Life and Death Lightning Art out of the way, he will have more time to work on reaching the tenth transformation of the third mortal.

He will also have more time to work on gaining 100% mastery of the Lightning Element Host technique and the Wood Element Host technique.

It is a blessing to him that he has less work to do concerning the mastery of the Life and Death Lightning Art since he has to deal with two host techniques while other cultivators only have to comprehend one host technique in order to transform their potential into power.

Combined with the extra life span he gained, he will have all the time to master all of the important techniques at the third mortal coil, which will help him transcend to the fourth mortal coil without endangering his life.

And this ends the benefits he gained on his own. But there is one other benefit that he didn't gain through his efforts but awakened nonetheless when he reached the third mortal coil. That benefit is the third divine ability from the Mountain Sitting Dao.

This third divine ability was awakened just like when he advanced to the second mortal coil and was deemed strong enough to use more of the power of the Mountain Sitting Dao and awakened a second degree in divine ability.

He has become strong enough to have and use three divine abilities. The name of this new divine ability is the Fate Identification divine ability. It is a divine ability for checking the quality of the fate of other beings.

The divine ability checks the type of destiny and the quantity of luck that a person has. With it, he will be able to tell if some people are destined for greatness and when some people are destined to die soon.

The level of the Fate Identification divine ability is entirely dependent on the level of Mountain Karma. He can't level it up on its own.

The higher the level of Mountain Karma, the higher the level of the Fate Identification will be. Since Mountain Karma is currently level 5, the Fate Identification divine ability is also level 5.

Aside from this information, he didn't learn anything else about the divine ability, such as what's important about its level. But he figured out some things on his own by trying to link the function of this new divine ability with his previous divine abilities.

He remembered that Mountain Foundation is related to and even reliant on Mountain Karma. The more people he helps in order to advance Mountain Karma, the more future benefits he will gain through Mountain Foundation.

By trying to link Fate Identification to the other two, he got a feasible function for the Fate Identification divine ability for Mountain Foundation.

This link between the two divine abilities that he discovered is that he doesn't have to help random people anymore. By being able to identify people with good and high fates, he will be able to make targeted investments.

So instead of spending his money equally on everyone he meets, he can spend his money on a few people with good fates that he meets.

This way he will be able to invest more in their lives, and when they achieve a lot in the future, he will be able to earn more than what he would have gotten by investing in random people.

As for the link between the Fate Identification divine ability and the Mountain Karma divine ability, he didn't notice any synergy between them because Mountain Karma is focused more on the quality of his helpful actions, not the future achievements of the people he is helping.

He still wasn't sure about his conclusion, but he wasn't too concerned about it.

He shrugged and said, "Only time will tell. Anyways, I have more things to test and an inner sect to join."

He picked up his ID card and messaged some people to tell them that he had advanced to the third mortal coil. Those people are Thor, Elder Storm, Jason, and Goldwyn.

He told Thor about his progress to make him jealous and to inform him that he won't be around the outer sect for much longer.

The reason he told Jason and Goldwyn was to give them a heads-up so that they will be able to show him around and help him get settled once he enters the inner sect.

As for Elder Storm Hawk, he told her so that she would begin the process of helping him enter the inner sect. He also wanted her to prepare his share of the money they earned from the auction.

After messaging them, he decided to begin cultivating. He wanted to cultivate so that he could fill up his two life seeds as fast as possible and make more life seeds.

He also wanted to cultivate so that he would be able to grow stronger. For that, he wants to test his life seeds and see if the terminals he forged into them are as functional as he hoped for.

He is particularly anxious to grow stronger because advancing to the third mortal coil has weakened him. The main source of this weakness is that he can't use external armaments anymore.

He can't use an external armament anymore because no one can use two armaments at the same time. Since his armament has become his foundation, it can't enhance him like it used to, so he has weakened.

When he was at the second mortal coil, he had the option of using a rank 2 or rank 3 armament. If he used the rank 2 armament, his power became 3 ((11 (Life Force) + 11 (Internal Energy QLTY)) × 5 (Mountain Karma)) × 10 (Divine Lightning Armament)), which is equal to 1,100.

If he had used a rank 3 armament at the peak of the second mortal coil, his power would have become ((11 (Life Force) + 11 (Internal Energy QLTY)) × 5 (Mountain Karma)) × 50 (Divine Lightning Armament)), which is 5,500 units.
