Chapter 63: Chapter 63: New Mansion Plans and Cultivation Progress
Looking at the appetizing meal before him, Victor couldn't help but be touched by the girl's thoughtfulness.
"You really go to a lot of trouble for me. Learning so many different regional cuisines every day must be exhausting.
Sichuan cuisine today, Cantonese tomorrow, and Hunan the day after. The dedicated girl had been remarkably busy lately, throwing herself into culinary studies with real passion.
Alisa's face turned crimson as she crossed her arms defensively, putting on an air of proud indifference. "I didn't learn all this for you! I just happened to develop an interest in Chinese cuisine, so I'm just using you as a taste tester!"
"Yes, that's exactly it!"
"Of course, of course."
Victor smiled warmly, but chose not to reveal her obvious tsundere facade.
Since their relationship had grown closer, Alisa had gradually revealed this endearing side of her personality to him. The contrast between her proud exterior and her caring actions was truly endearing.
"Taste it and tell me how it tastes!"
Alisa handed him the prepared spoon, her eyes bright with anticipation as she watched his every move.
Victor, of course, would not disappoint such earnest efforts.
He scooped up a generous spoonful of the mapo tofu, placed it in his mouth, and carefully savored the complex flavors. Alisa's expression grew increasingly nervous as she awaited his verdict.
"How is it?"
Victor put down the spoon and nodded in agreement. "Quite good. It would be even better with a little more numbing spice."
"More numbing?"
Alisa silently committed Victor's preferences to memory, determined to perfect the dish next time.
"By the way," Victor said after two more bites, "I'm planning on moving tomorrow."
"W-what?"
Alisa's eyes widened in shock and she stared at him in obvious distress.
"Moving? Why? Where to?"
Victor calmly explained, "I have decided to move to XX Street in XX District. I have purchased a new property there."
Alisa quickly pulled out her phone and opened the map application to search for the address.
When she saw the distance on the screen, disappointment clouded her features.
"That's pretty far from here."
It wasn't just far, it would take half an hour by subway! Wouldn't that mean that she would rarely see Victor?
The thought brought visible sadness and reluctance to the girl's expression.
Victor gently ruffled her hair in a gesture of comfort. "Don't worry. We'll still be able to meet frequently in the future."
"I plan to set up a spatial transfer formation in your room, directly connected to my new residence. Whenever you want to visit me, you can use the formation to travel there instantly."
"Really? It's a promise!"
The disappointment and sadness vanished from the girl's face, instantly replaced by joy and excitement.
"Then I'll definitely have to inspect your new house thoroughly!"
After saying goodbye to Alisa, Victor returned to his bed and resumed his cross-legged cultivation.
His realm had now reached the peak of the mid-stage of founding, just one step away from the late-stage breakthrough.
If he dedicated himself to intensive cultivation tonight, he might be able to achieve this advancement.
While Victor was concentrating on his cultivation, a completely different scene was unfolding in the chat group.
[Rin Tohsaka: After learning this immortal cultivation method, can I really become as powerful as you all claim?]
[Shinoa Hiiragi: I'm curious as well]
[Stelle: Don't doubt it! Since I started cultivating, my back and legs don't hurt anymore, and I'm full of energy! I could run from the Herta Space Station to Luofu without breaking a sweat!]
[Lumine: Are you promoting the cultivation method now?]
[Belle: Don't be skeptical. I used to be worse off than any of you, just an ordinary person. But now, fighting the Antimatter Legion is as easy as dealing with children!]
[Bai Yuekui: There's no need to doubt. If you don't believe it, you can buy it and try it for yourself.]
[Shinobu: Exactly. Besides, your group points were given to you for free by Victor anyway.]
[Rin Tohsaka: All right, I'll give it a try]
After saying this, Rin immediately opened the chat group mall and selected Return to Origin Art-Incomplete.
[Ding! Do you want to buy Return to Origin Art-Incomplete?]
"Yes!"
As soon as she confirmed it, Rin felt as if new knowledge had been implanted directly into her mind.
Upon careful examination, she discovered that it was indeed a cultivation method.
Since the information had been imparted directly through the chat group system, Rin mastered it immediately.
She sat down in a cross-legged position and tried to practice.
Within a few moments, she could feel the spiritual energy floating in the air around her.
However, this spiritual energy seemed rather weak.
"It really works!"
[Rin Tohsaka: I can already feel the spiritual energy in the air, but it's difficult to draw it into my body. What should I do?]
[Kiana: You can detect spiritual energy so quickly?]
[Shinobu: Another cultivation genius?]
[Lumine: I'm jealous.]
[Belle: Drawing qi into the body is indeed a challenge. You have to take it slowly and not rush the process. In the beginning, it took all of us a long time to successfully achieve qi induction.]
[Shinoa Hiiragi: I can't even sense spiritual energy. Is that the difference in talent?]
When Rin had purchased the Return to Origin art, Shinoa had done the same.
Both had started practicing at almost the same time, but their results were completely different.
Shinoa couldn't sense any spiritual energy around her.
[Take your time, you'll feel it eventually. If you still can't feel it after a few days, it might mean that there is no spiritual energy in your world, or that it is extremely thin.]
[Place: In that case, you'll have to travel to another group member's world to practice].
"Travel to another world?"
Shinoa's eyes lit up with interest, though no one could guess what thoughts were running through her mind.
The next morning.
Accompanied by cracking sounds emanating from his body, as if something inside had shattered, Victor finally stepped into the late stage of Foundation Establishment!
"Phew!"
Feeling the increasingly powerful power coursing through his body, Victor exhaled a breath of stale air and said with satisfaction, "Not easy, but I finally broke through.
"One step closer to the next great realm!"
The next level would be the Golden Core level.
When he reached the Golden Core, his strength would take another qualitative leap.
By then, splitting the earth in two would be trivial.
He stretched lazily, making crackling sounds like popping beans throughout his body.
A glance at the clock showed that it was already half past ten.
He noticed breakfast wrapped in plastic on the table.
Alisa's handiwork, no doubt.
Earlier that morning, he had indeed sensed her arrival.
However, he had been at a critical point in his cultivation and couldn't break out of his meditative state.
Alisa had probably seen that he was still practicing, so she had left the meal without disturbing him and gone to the school.
Victor removed the plastic wrap and finished his breakfast quickly.
Then, out of habit, he opened the chat group.
[Shinoa Hiiragi: Thank you, Kiana! You're such a good person!]
[Kiana: Uh, you're welcome.]
[Kiana: There are many more games here. Himeko-sensei confiscated them all from other students. If you want them, I can send more later.]
[Shinoa Hiiragi: Really? Thanks again!]
[Victor: It's the apocalypse and you're still thinking about playing games?]
[Shinoa Hiiragi: Just because it's the apocalypse, people should enjoy themselves even more!]
Victor had to admit that the logic was surprisingly sound.
