Chapter 96: MCSDB Chapter 77 Do You Want to Know the Truth of the World? Part 1
While it was uncertain whether all three were divine techniques, one thing was clear: all three abilities were immensely powerful.
Teleportation was self-explanatory; in the hands of the Yadratians, it might not seem like much, but as his strength grew, this ability could become nearly unbeatable. Division would be invaluable against foes like Cell and Moro, and Giantification was no small feat either.
If given the chance, Jiang Chen naturally wanted to master all three abilities.
"Of course."
"However, esteemed friend, these three abilities are quite special. Not everyone can master them; they are unique to us Yadratians. I cannot guarantee that you will succeed."
The Great Elder nodded but spoke with a hint of caution.
In the past, there had been visitors to Planet Yardrat, and while some were deemed worthy of instruction, very few could truly master the techniques.
In fact, only a minuscule number had succeeded. And as for mastering all three abilities, thus far, only the Yadratians had achieved that.
"I understand."
"Thank you, Great Elder!"
Jiang Chen nodded, expressing his gratitude.
He knew that wanting to learn was one thing; actually mastering the techniques was another.
He didn't consider himself a World Conqueror destined to be the protagonist, able to learn everything effortlessly.
"There is no need for thanks!"
"Spirit, take our guest to the place of divine revelation!"
The Great Elder smiled and called out to the door.
"Yes, Great Elder!" The Yadratian who had led Jiang Chen in earlier entered, responding respectfully.
"Thank you and apologies for any trouble I have caused!" Jiang Chen nodded slightly.
"Please, follow me!" Spirit smiled and led Jiang Chen out of the room.
…
Half an hour later.
Under Spirit' guidance, Jiang Chen arrived at a peculiar location.
"What is this place?" Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow. The moment he stepped inside, he felt a strange aura enveloping the area.
Yet, he couldn't quite discern what these auras were.
His gaze swept around.
This was an open space, surrounded by unusual landforms.
"Esteemed guest, to master Movement, Division, and Expansion, you must first learn an ability called Spirit Control."
"Observe closely."
Spirit explained, and in the next moment, his body vanished. When he reappeared, he instantly expanded and then split into multiple forms.
In an instant, the area was filled with Yadratians once more.
"Esteemed guest, I can sense that your Spirit Control is quite unstable. With such instability, mastering the three abilities will be challenging."
"Thus, the first step is to stabilize your Spirit Control."
"Let's begin this way."
Spirit said, his figure vanishing again, only to reappear on a small, peculiar object.
He stood there, perfectly balanced, without a hint of wobble.
"Alright!" Seeing this, Jiang Chen nodded slightly.
Then, with a flash, he appeared on another small object.
But as soon as he landed, his body swayed, and he quickly employed the Sky Hovering Technique to steady himself.
"Esteemed guest, that won't do. You need to stabilize your Spirit Control, not rely on techniques to support your body." Spirit instructed.
"Understood!" Jiang Chen took a deep breath and nodded.
However, achieving this was clearly a challenge. As soon as he withdrew his Ki, his body began to falter.
Once.
Twice.
Thrice.
Even maintaining this simple state proved to be a monumental task for him at that moment.
Flying with Ki was easy; even sitting on it was simple. But without using Ki, achieving balance was a whole different story— one that was far more difficult.
This wasn't merely a matter of balance; it was as if he simply couldn't do it. These pointed objects seemed to possess a strange power that interfered with his body's balance.
And indeed, that was the case. But the real issue lay in the fact that his ki was not stable.
Perhaps it was due to the rapid increase in his strength over such a short period.
His Ki, compared to when he left Planet Vegeta or even after departing Earth, was clearly much more volatile. And because of this volatility, stabilizing his form became a daunting task.
His inability to do so led to a growing sense of frustration, which only exacerbated the instability of his Ki.
It felt like a vicious cycle.
After what felt like an eternity and countless attempts, he found himself falling again and again.
The Yadratian beside him remained patient, offering guidance.
Days passed.
The first day: failure, failure, and more failure.
The second day: failure.
The third day.
The seventh day, the tenth day.
The fifteenth day.
A month.
For an entire month, Jiang Chen lived in a cycle of failure.
And with each passing day, his inner frustration deepened.
"Esteemed guest, your Spirit Control is becoming increasingly unstable. This cannot continue!" Spirit spoke gently.
"Phew!"
"I understand!"
Jiang Chen took a deep breath.
On the thirty-first day, he chose not to attempt again.
Then came the thirty-second day, the thirty-third day.
For seven consecutive days, Jiang Chen refrained from trying, instead immersing himself in introspection.
Finally, on the thirty-eighth day, he began anew.
This time, his frustration had long since dissipated, and compared to before, he found himself much more successful.
Though he still swayed while sitting, and the aura within him remained unstable, at least he could maintain his position.
"Phew!"
Exhaling a breath of pent-up air, a look of joy spread across Jiang Chen's face.
"Indeed, it's possible!"
He murmured to himself, but in that moment of emotional fluctuation, he lost his balance and fell once more.
…
The training on Planet Yardrat was anything but monotonous. It felt more like an advanced mastery of Ki, allowing Jiang Chen to delve deeper into his training. He was completely immersed in the process.
Time flew by like a swift wind.
In the blink of an eye, more than half a year had passed.
Compared to Son Goku's training, Jiang Chen was undoubtedly progressing at a slower pace.
On one hand, it was a matter of natural talent. On the other, when it came to martial arts and Ki training, Jiang Chen simply couldn't match Son Goku.
Son Goku completed his training in about one hundred and fifty days.
For Jiang Chen, it took him that long just to barely scratch the surface. To reach Son Goku's level, he would likely need double that time, if not more.
However, Jiang Chen was not in a rush.
He had a full ten years of Log In time, and so far, only about three years had passed. That meant he still had a generous seven years left.
Jiang Chen refused to believe he couldn't master it within those seven years.
And just as Jiang Chen was diligently training, a shift was occurring in the Naruto World.
